Footballmouse I hope your cat does better and that the other cats become more accepting. I have never had cats so I am not sure how they behave.

@bobbiwoz It will be nice to have a bike riding companion. Have fun.

Good morning. Chilly again but getting into the 50s. Kenny has been home early the past couple of days so we have been out walking and talking. His divorce hearing is coming up. He was supposed to have a meeting with soon to be ex, her attorney, and his attorney but ex canceled it. He did tell his attorney that he will not accept canceling the court date so they need to meet soon. I feel bad for Kenny as he is stressed and I really think the ex is planning something. Something just seems off. I have been praying for the best for everyone especially the kids. They have had so many changes in their young lives.

I have been thinking about not going to the old condo office to get the package that someone took, held for a week, and then brought to the office. I got my credit and reordered the items. I feel that even going back to the office at the complex will bring me anxiety that I don't need right now. I need to take care of me. It is not my fault that someone took the package the same day it was delivered. I will let them know how I feel about it but I really don't want to bring up old emotions about being there. I have left that place in the past.

Off to work. The kids will be here for the night and I plan to make pizza for them.

Have a good day.

Happy Hump Day!🐪

Just finished a couple of my egg muffins. I forgot to put 1/2 my lunch in my lunch bag this morning so hopefully the cafeteria is having a good vegetable option today at lunch. Then I realized I forgot to get something out of the freezer for dinner tonight 🤦‍♀️. Not sure what my problem was this morning.

Jacob hired a grass cutting guy, he cut the grass last night. I actually didn't mind cutting the grass but I'm sure when it's 97 degrees out I'll be happy that I don't have to cut it. It just feels weird having someone else do it.

Won't make it to Evan's game tonight, too late, which means I don't get to see Miss Mia until Friday. We have a lunch date with some girls from my weekend job on Friday. Bailey said she'll put her in a dress, I was just hoping she wore something that didn't make her look like a boy. Bailey isn't big into pink or bows that's why I buy a lot of clothes for Mia.🎀

Tonight is my Survivor night so I won't be doing anything once 8:00 hits, then again I don't really do anything at night any other time.

This week is Administrative Assistant's week so I got a free 15 minute neck & shoulder massage yesterday at work. We also got a free lunch bag. I'm volunteering at the lunch bag give-away table later today and then the massage check-in table tomorrow. It's nice that they do something for the Admin's.

The boss just walked in so I guess I should start working. Have a great day!

Good morning everyone-another beautiful sunny 65 degree day ahead. I'm hoping that Dave and his son go and pick up the roofing materials and get them here this morning. I'm not sure how long it will take, they have today and tomorrow of beautiful, not too hot working weather before we get rain all day on Friday. At least I know they will work on the weekend if they have to.

@theluckyrabbit Thank you for sharing, that was too adorable. Mama duck knew where she was going, and wasn't letting even the parade get in her way.

I might get the tractor out of the shed so I can pull the tiller out and get that run through the garden. May will be here soon, and planting time will begin.

@footballmouse --take advantage of having someone else do your lawn. I wish I could, but everyone around here charges way too much than I can afford weekly or twice a week.

Have a great day!

Good morning!

@theluckyrabbit Love the ducks, thank you! How did you post a video on here, I’ve tried but failed!

@footballmouse What a sweet gesture your son made hiring someone to do your lawn. Very loving! I hope the new kitty has better luck with the other cats, poor thing must be scared. But poop in the house is tough, too.

@Kirby Still saying prayers for James and hoping that things are going well for him.

@taz That’s tough with your aunt, I hope she does ok. My elderly friend who broke her legs is still in rehab and that happened before Christmas! Last I talked to her she was upset with how things were going. Hard for your daughter, I have been in that situation with needle sticks a couple of times, once when we were trying to have a baby. At that time they told us we could not have relations for six months (!) until I tested negative for HIV twice or something like that it was crazy.

Speaking of which I spent some time this week with an old neighbor who is a nursing student working with her to talk about ways to get a job for the summer and helping her do that. She is grateful and I was impressed with all the work she did on her resume, a cover letter and seeing her transcripts. She’s done really well in college so I’m proud of her. I think we got something going for her locally through a friend I know. The friend was happy cause they need help. So we’ll see. 🤞

We’ve been busy around the house and shopping. Lots of errands and things to buy for our project, which is making progress. Got all the carpet squares we’re going to need and supplies to go along with that. Walls are probably about 3/4 done. Picked out the paint for the bookcases and stairs and trim, it’s a grey that’s similar to the walls so it will be pretty monochromatic. I can’t get onto the website I want to use to order some shades, they tell me it doesn’t work well with Apple products. They sent me a catalog. I have a lot of old books to go through on the bookcases. We have to get some large containers to put some of the kids’ things in that they want to save, like some old schoolwork, and those can go up in the attic. I ordered some lights.

Deciding on what I want to do on the stairs. Our options are to have someone come in (or do ourselves) for wall to wall. Or we could order carpet stair treads. I’ve seen a few I like. Or we are pondering how to use the carpet squares we bought, on the stairs. If there’s a way we could do that I’d like to try, but it may require some ingenuity. We bought six more boxes of carpet tile last night so we have 11 or 12 now. If we had to buy more they are pretty affordable. So we’ll see.

Was sort of upset yesterday. Traveled an hour for a doctor’s appt w DH (not in the city). It was pretty disastrous. New doctor he’s never seen before, I could tell she didn’t want to be there. (Very pregnant, but still.) Ran 40 mins late, so we waited almost an hour once we arrived. (And got stuck in horrid traffic leaving.) Basically we talked to the side of her head the whole visit as she typed in the computer. I hate that! (And left another doctor because of it.) I fully understand the computer work required but I don’t want to talk to the side of someone’s head and I don’t do it myself - I always stop typing and sit and talk to patients, so it’s hard when I/we don’t get that in return. But I thought she was being needlessly rigid with DH too. He’s agreeable (because he is that way) but she told me I didn’t look happy and I told her that, no, I wasn’t, because we’d already done the things she was asking him to repeat, and she wasn’t listening to what I was telling her. (And got snippy about it.) Basically we left it that he’d be seeing his old doctor and not her again. Disappointing because most of our doctors are really great. But this one, and my eye doctor, uh uh.

Btw I started my eye drops and have been doing the other treatments and my eye feels so much better. I’ve had a lump in my eyelid and it’s finally going down. Frustrated that these treatments weren’t prescribed for me two years ago.

Well have to get the day started. I hope everyone has a good Wednesday! 🐥

The weirdest thing happened to all 3 of our phones.
That is beyond odd. What a weird glitch-
I feel bad for Kenny as he is stressed and I really think the ex is planning something.
I imagine his anxiety is thru the roof. Hopefully the worst of it will be behind him soon. As I recall you mentioned he was trying to decide on keeping the house or not - has he made a decision on that yet? Good luck to him in all this -
Jacob hired a grass cutting guy, he cut the grass last night.
Good, enjoy it! It's a small thing that will probably made a huge difference in your life, if for no other reason than one thing has been removed from your plate!
before we get rain all day on Friday.
We are supposed to get rain on Friday, too. And most of the weekend. I'm thinking maybe we will go to the movies or do something along those lines.
I might get the tractor out of the shed so I can pull the tiller out and get that run through the garden. May will be here soon, and planting time will begin.
We've done most of the tilling for the clover, sunflowers - but not for the wildflowers. Doing that tonight (I hope) since I need to use the big tractor to do the mowing with the finish mower. Going to attempt to get all the mowing done before the rain!

Good morning everyone. Nothing new to report here. I've got a pedicure appt. this afternoon. I think dinner will be grilled or sautéed chicken. I've got a hair appt. next Friday - trying to decide if I want to chop it all off or not. It's not quite long enough to put up, and short is sooooo much easier, but we'll see. I'll probably change my mind thirty times between now and then!

My mom was friends with her mom, and then I was friends with her mom, and we are continuing the “different generations“ friendship!
That is so cool!
Tonight is my Survivor night so I won't be doing anything once 8:00 hits, then again I don't really do anything at night any other time.
I'm recording Survivor, hope the weather we are getting tonight will not interfere with the recording.

There is a two hour special on NBC tonight for Carol Burnett. I've got it set to tape. I think that it may be honoring her and her work as a comedian. I've always enjoyed watching her.

Thank you for all of your prayers for James. He began running 102 fever yesterday but it broke overnight. He is staying around 99 right now. They've taken x-rays to check for pneumonia and I'm sure blood work for an infection. He did the same over Thanksgiving for an intestinal infection. Don't know if this is the beginning of side effects from the new stem cells or not but they should be showing up soon.

Garden is till, thankfully the tiller started on the first try.

Progress--look what's parked in the side yard. His son went and got it, while Dave was trying to help his neighbor fix his roof. If he's not too sore or tired, they'll start ours tonight. If not, it will be tomorrow. It's perfect weather for it!

Good Morning:grouphug:Everyone

Dad is at Walmart quickly before heading very close by to Costco to his hearing center appointment. Thank you all so very much for your continuing support on that. I pray the new hearing aids improve his quality of life in terms of basic hearing to our being better able to enjoy TV together. I am absolutely proud of his courage for getting them. Tomorrow, I go to the dentist for a regular cleaning. God-willing, no more dentist visits for me until I schedule my next cleaning in early July. Dad did get his expected Amazon CD through the mail yesterday. Other than some early spam calls, all is quiet around here :)

Luckyrabbit, always great to see you post. I also love the ducks and thank you for the extra morning smile!🐣

Snowysmom, 💕and extra prayers to Kenny's children! All of you know how I feel about God's precious kids and how heartbreaking it truly is when they have to go through family turmoil of some sort. I just thank dear you, Snowysmom and Kenny for being such incredibly loving (I know your son is a wonderful father since you and Chris raised him) family them all. Absolutely prayers for a peaceful custody resolution that truly is in the children's best interests!

Footballmouse:grouphug:and prayers for a smoother rest of the day! Thank you always for all your kind healthcare service! Always thankful to know that compassionate medical workers such as you and Pea are being appreciated!

Lynn, your phone's odd behavior reminded me of how our TV every now and then turns on by itself or more often won't turn on for several tries! Electronics sure can be temperamental! Prayers Don chooses to go out tomorrow! I love the Mickey and Minnie morning image. They have the right sweet, tasty, and summer to come idea! 🍨

Pea extra :hug:with love to dear you and continuing eye healing prayers. I'm just so thankful that at LONG last you are on the road to recovery. Of course, you know I feel awful about all the pain you've been through now :( HEALING relief asap prayers to you!

Easyas, enjoy your pedicure and dinner later, too. My own hair is so long right now not having been cut in 3 years that it might do well with being chopped mostly off and starting over! I'm sure whatever💇‍♀️you decide on next week will be lovely. I definitely want one day something lighter than the weight that my hair is now especially for summer.

Bobbiwoz, extra hug to you along with prayers your chiropractor appointment has you feeling better, my friend:flower2:

Kirby, continuing🙏 for James indeed and of course for you and your husband going through all of this with him.

The ☎️won't quit with the awful spam calls this morning! Don't computers have more positive things to do then generate robo calls?! Oh well, quiet at the moment :)

Love to all and good Wednesday, of course, wishes, too. I will check back later.

Slipping thread save to wish all of you a good rest of the day along with sweet dreams should I not long again later. Dad did get his hearing aids....they definitely make a difference to him in terms of general hearing other than a but tinny... but he was disappointed that at least initially they only helped with our watching TV together when the TV volume (for me) was LOUD. Of course, he also knows he only just got them and he wiĺl be giving them another try tomorrow. Adjustment all-around of course. He may also try out a much cheaper over the counter option to compare. Rught now he's scheduled for a follow up at Costco in 2 weeks. He does have 6 months to return the hearing aids for a full refund. One step at a time. What made me smile was his sharing when he came home that he was able to hear birds singing as he pulled into our garage. Thank you all so much for you and your extra prayers for really us both on this. 🐥❤️

They got a lot done today. almost 3/4 of one side is done. They are going to do the trim, snow rake things, and corners tomorrow, then start the other side. They are hoping to have it done by the end of the weekend, weather permitting. It looks so nice, and I absolutely love the blue.

Have a nice evening.

Happy Friday Eve!😊

Finally warming up a bit but rain is supposed to start tonight 🌧️. I'll have to pull my tray of petunias out of the garage tomorrow so they get some sun ☀️.

I watched the last part of that Carol Burnett special last night, I'll watch the first half tonight. Wow, I didn't realize that she's still acting!

Watched Survivor last night, not too happy with who was voted out, I liked that person. I picked 2 people that I thought might win, one is on the jury and the other one is still hanging in there 🤞.

Finally remembered to get something out of the freezer for dinner tonight, I pulled some baked fish out 🐟. Tonight will be laundry and cleaning. I'll have to get the garbage cans to the curb before the rain starts.

That's it for me, back to my breakfast 🥚. Have a great day!

Good morning, all!

Made a quiche this morning, but so far that's the extent of my productivity. Have to do a load of laundry and run to the bank later. Might vacuum, and plan to talk to my niece on the phone.

For what was predicted to be a rather dreary week weather-wise, I'm thrilled to see a bright sunny sky out the window!

Good sunny morning. One more perfect day, 100% chance of rain tomorrow, 50% on Saturday and more on Sunday. Temps only upper 50's next week. I am hoping they can get the majority of the roof done today, or we will be waiting until Monday to get it finished.

Don did finally try the ramp yesterday and was able to get up and down just using the railings. We are going to try and get to the diagnostic center this morning for lab work for his 2 doctor appts next week, and he has a echocardiogram after that at 11 this morning. I hope we aren't stuck there all day.

Have a great day.

Good morning. Have a lot of piddly things to do today, pay some bills, mail a package, lady coming to get some things we’ve been holding for her since the yard sale, putting errands away, etc. Was in the ER till wee hours of the morning w DS, another incident where he got hurt. Fun stuff. May end up napping later depending on how I feel.
Enjoy the Thursday, everyone. 🐥

I don't have hearing aids, but I've often heard others compare to the adjustment period akin to adjusting to no-line bifocals. That it takes a few days, and sometimes you have to take a break from them as you adjust. Hopefully he'll get used to them in the coming week or so.
They got a lot done today. almost 3/4 of one side is done......... It looks so nice, and I absolutely love the blue.
How nice to have a good chunk of it done already! And that you are loving the color!
Finally remembered to get something out of the freezer for dinner tonight,
Ugh - this is my main failing of late. I've got plenty to make for supper, I have been rather forgetful lately and not been great about getting something out for dinner.

Hope you aren't stuck there all day, too. Something about Dr.'s offices that just are a total time suck/warp sometimes. Fingers crossed all tests & bloodwork come back with good results.
Was in the ER till wee hours of the morning w DS, another incident where he got hurt. Fun stuff.
That sounds fun, talk about time suck. Hope he's okay. It's been years since I've been in a ER w/ a kid thankfully.

Been a interesting day, a long-time coming court case we were involved with (work related) since 2018 was supposed to go to court for the second time in a few weeks but earlier today we were able to settle. So I can take those two days sitting in the court house off of my calendar (another time suck:sad2:). After work this afternoon I've got about 3 hours in the tractor seat waiting for me as I want to try to get the mowing done before we are expecting 3 or so days of rain. Husband will be on the other mower at same time, so hopefully we can knock it out by 7:30 or 8 PM. On top of that I'm waiting now for the floor measuring folks to reach out. I'm supposed to be expecting them between " !1 & 5" today. The first time they showed up they were there at 12:50, but as of 1:15 today I haven't heard from them. Oh well, they will call when they call, not much to be done about it! And the reason they have to come back and measure again is on me, so I really ought not be complaining at all.
