Good Tuesday morning!:earsboy:

Wow, did I have a night last night. I walked up to my aunt's house and brought her dinner 🚶‍♀️. I knew she wanted to talk for a while so I knew that going in. I noticed it was starting to get a little dark and I mentioned that I was going to head home. Well her phone (cell and home) started blowing up with the calls. She answered her cell and I ran to get the home phone. It was my cousins calling her to let her know that the police were looking for a shooter in the neighborhood 😳. Great and I have to walk home! I made sure her doors were locked and I headed out. I called Evan and told him to stay on the phone with me while I walk home. I wanted someone to know exactly where I was if I was shot or stolen. I made it home and locked my doors. My aunt called to make sure I was home, my cousin texted me to make sure I was home, glad everyone was concerned. Found out that the shooter got away in a car, a teenager was shot in his leg and they did catch a group of kids that were with the shooter, they were all around 14 years old 😲! I'm thinking the kid that was shot, was targeted, doubt it was a random shooting.

Made pasta with sauce and meatballs for dinner last night 🍝. It was good, have a lot left so I'll probably give the leftovers to Evan. Since Bailey works nights he's usually by himself for dinner. Meal prepped breakfast and lunch for the week. The cafeteria at work is having catfish and zucchini for a lunch option today. I think I'll go get that and take it home for dinner.

It was so nice out yesterday, in the 70's I believe. Then dropping down to the 40's the rest of the week.:sunny:

Have a great day!

Good morning. Just back from my walk. It was invigorating for sure with temps around 30 and a bit of a wind. I like going out when it is quiet and I can just walk, hear the birds, and think.

I love walking too. Cold is OK with me as long as it's sunny!

Yikes, @footballmouse - I'm glad you're OK! That must have been soooo scary.

Nothing huge going on here today - I sorted the mail that accumulated while we were gone and carried up the laundry DH did yesterday. (He still has blisters from the trip.) I need to put the suitcases away, I have a class on Zoom at 10:00, and I plan to go the grocery store later. (DS went to pick up a few necessities the day we came home. This is for the regular weekly-ish list.) Tonight we have dinner at DH's lodge, and tomorrow I watch the twins.

It's 42 here and I feel like it's freezing cold since it was 60ties yesterday. It may hit 50ties by afternoon but I'll be sitting at the dealership while my car answers for a recall. I may call my friend who lives on the other side of the dealer and bother her for a bit to see if she will bite and pick me up, lol. It's too far to ask my DD to leave working and come get me and then drop me off again.

Good morning. I think it's morning, I am so tired these days, I don't know half the time, lol.

The plumbing for the bathroom is all done. What a mess whoever did it in the first place made. Dave ran all new everything down there. They had the tub and toilet going through the same lines, he separated that. Put in all new shutoffs, and had to climb under that little tiny space 4x trying to get the old toilet shut off out. They had it bolted under the floor. The new flooring is all down, and he's coming today to do the electrical, or as much as he can do.

Then it's drywall behind where the tub is going to go, so he can get that put in.

The plumber is supposed to call before coming, and of course this morning the sink seems fine. I don't care, I want the lines cleaned out anyhow, not going through a clogged sink every week.

Gathering trash now, cleaned out litter boxes and did a load of laundry. Just waiting for Dave to get here.

Have a nice morning all.

Good morning! We are on our way to Yardley PA for lunch with a good friend. We lived in Lower Makefield for 13 years, and left it 30 years ago, but we still have good friends who live there. Usually we see our friends when they come to Cape May, we decided to head north to see how the old neighborhood looks!

I hope everyone has a great day. Weather is nice here.

Good Morning from me as well,

Dad is doing Tuesday laundry followed by Ralphs. I'm sitting here 🛋️in my ☃️print blanket. I much prefer typing longer replies on our desktop. Someimes a phone can be handy that way, too. I will take another listen later to the precious children's choir singing on Sunday. Carol, I hope you got to hear them in person and of, course, are doing well:hug:

:grouphug:Footballmouse and thank God you are safe! How horribly scary and tragic too. I would have stayed with my aunt. Very gratefil you got home okay. Prayers for all involved. Please have a much safer and lower key day!

Snowysmom, a quiet walk and being able to hear some 🐦overheard singing, sounds peaceful. I pray that it was. The weather? Lol, not so much. I'm just so thankful that you're able to enjoy morning 🚶‍♀️May they indeed bring you added comfort and renewal.

PollyannaMom, have fun with the twins tomorrow. May your Zoom class and 🛒go well today. Oh no, sorry about your DH. Dad is daily bothered by calluses. May your DH's 🐾
feel better soon.

:car:prayers Judique. I would come get you if I lived closer. I hope your friend will be able to do so. Not fun being stuck at a car repair place. Pre pandemic, some dealerships offered a free ride within a certain distance. When your car was ready they would call and come pick you up. I don't think that's offered out here currently. Might be worth your asking if you would feel comfortable right now doing so. Car good thoughts indeed!

:grouphug:Lynn, I say this every day because it's true every day, my friend take care of yourself, please! Don't run yourself anymore ragged. You matter and to all of us! Be well and always know we care!

Bobbiwoz, how fun to get to check out :car:your old neighborhood and have lunch with a friend, too. Enjoy your trip and time together.

Wishing all of you a bright and happy Tuesday. I'll check back in later.

I'm still here and doing fine. I'm in the 'secret' waiting room that I discovered last time. The other room has the coffee, water and snacks but I grabbed some and brought them over here. There's a TV for just me and great wifi. Occasionally an employee will walk through and that's about it. 4 chairs, a tv, a charging station, wifi, coffee machine and soda machine. I have an hour and a half to go.

Getting here was tedious. A blocked intersection and a detour plus too much traffic. So when I arrived I was happy to relax and didn't bother calling friend. Oh and I was offered a ride. I brought my small laptop - the one with the broken screen - so I can read, post and watch TV, just what I'd be doing at home right now.

Out of the dealership. They got me finished just before 4:30pm, which was better than expected by 45 minutes. They give you a free car wash certificate but I was ready to leave. It's at an offsite car wash so I can do it later on. It's good for a week.

I also picked up a dealer only rear wiper. In addition I asked about an sd card to update my navigation. It was going to be $79 so I decided to skip it as I have my phone. Mostly I just know where I'm going and have a great sense of direction. When I have time to plan somewhere I don't know how to get to I usually look at google maps and I'm good to go.

Then I asked about a new windshield. That will be $1200 before insurance as it is a dealer only item and requires calibration. (Don't ask.) I'd gone to my local glass dealer and they had to call my dealer and found out it had to go through the dealer. So, in speaking to the parts guy, the dealer uses my glass guy for the glass installation and then finishes the job at the dealer. They offered me 15% off.

Right now, I'm going to live with the small crack. It's on the passenger side. If it was in front of me, it would have already been fixed.

My grandchildren just called me on their way home from aftercare. They want me to look in their bedroom (at my house) and find their tablet and a few toys, plus my DD's reading glasses. And drive them to their house tonight. haha! It's rush hour, dc Beltway, so I'd be looking at 2 hours or so of driving plus a short visit. Sadly, I had to say no, not tonight. Maybe midday tomorrow. Older DGD loves her tablet. The rest could wait.

Glad you're heading 🏡Judique, you've had a long day. Yikes to some the prospected car care charges. That is a lot of money indeed. 🙏You are able to find a better price at least on some of them. I don't know whether like a car, sometimes different locations of dealership, offer specials (often internet coupons) on needed work. When we got my car back in 2016, we chose the Nissan dealership based on an internet found price that a closer location didn't offer or was willing to price match/honor. Trying to help think of savings option for you, my friend. Get some extra rest this evening and enjoy grandkid time fresher tomorrow.

Quiet afternoon here. No mail or expected Amazon package yet. I did enjoy listening to the children's choir sing again earlier. Hearing young voices lifted in praise to God is such a blessing and joy for me indeed.

Wishing all of you a warm and good evening. Lynn, prayers you have been resting and that both you and Don are feeling better.

Good morning. Cold one here at 29 degrees. I just got back from my walk. The birds were a bit less chirpy with the colder morning. I went a big quicker because it was cold. Hopefully burned a few more calories.

Therapy appt went well. I am now supposed to work on understanding my anger and how I feel about it and what I think anger wants me to know. I usually think about these things on my way back from the appt while it is fresh in my mind. I don't like being angry at Chris but I think it is part of my grief process. I need it. My therapist quoted Churchill. If you are going through Hell keep going. Well, I am going through Hell and all I can do is keep going and walking. What else? She did tell me that I should give myself some credit for keeping on going. I do like her alot. She does have alot of good insight.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good Morning all. It's 33 right now, going to 50 by afternoon, so I'll save the outdoors for a few hours until it feels warmer. Kitties and dog are fed and I've had coffee and a bagel and some cheese.

Lynn, would love to see pictures and progress of your projects. I'm itching to do something, but I always have so many dreams, I have to prioritize.

Sometimes I think I should go bigger and rip and roar and build an addition. Then I think the time for that has passed and maybe just some upkeep and reno will suffice. One thing is absolutely certain, and that's that some new paint is badly needed.

I also realized that I can't leave today to go take my grand her tablet. I have a delivery that requires a signature. Earliest time is 10:30 - 2:30, with 8pm being the latest. Sort of messes the day if I were to leave, unless it shows at 10:30. That's a longshot.

The item is my new S23 plus phone. I've been debating and going back and forth. Decided to get it after some encouragement from my son, who said get it and enjoy it. Then I went online to purchase and the deal wouldn't work. Left it alone for a while and shopped again on Monday evening and was able to order it with the discount. My old phone is the S10 plus and it is in decent condition with lots of memory. I may add a number to it as it doesn't cost extra on my plan. We will see.

Happy Hump Day!🐪

Headed to Evan's soccer game tonight ⚽. On the way there I plan to stop at the kids consignment shop and look for a stroller and some 0-3 mo. pants for Mia. I'd like to have a stroller to keep at my house.

My aunt called me last night, she wanted to apologize for not having me stay at her house until the police cleared everything. I told her not to worry, it was my decision to leave. I didn't want to stay with it getting darker by the minute. She said that it bothered her all day.

Pretty cold out this morning. It's 31 now and only getting warmer for a few degrees.

I'll be recording Survivor tonight, I'll probably watch it tomorrow when I get home. I recorded the Jimmy Fallon gameshow, That's My Jam, last night. I knew I wouldn't be able to stay awake for that. 😴

That's it for me. We're hosting a tour here at work so I have to go and start setting up the welcome table. Have a great day!

Good morning. Gus woke me up at 5 and didn’t want to be left alone. I fed him at 6, and just let him out, our yard is fenced. Tom slept through until 7. Gus does not seem right, he has liver issue, today is his last antibiotic capsule, he’s been on two a day for two weeks , he still has liver pills, and they will draw blood next Wednesday. I am thinking that Gus will not be with us much longer…or maybe it’s something else. So, I am tired.

Yesterday’s visit was wonderful! We didn’t have time to travel around the old neighborhood, we wound up visiting and then lunch at a historic tavern.

Enjoy your day! I successfully did the Nerdle, Wordle and Quordle, said my prayers, and spent quality time with Gus, but think I need to do more. I just don’t know what.

I've been trying to take some before and after pics, and as soon as I can, I'll send post them. It's coming along. Not as fast as I would like, as I really want to take a long hot bath at night, but that's not happening yet. Maybe by the end of the week. Good luck with your phone. We have the 22's and are only a couple of months old, so no point in our switching them out yet. Maybe if they come up with a good deal, I'll think about it.

I gave that one shot last time, and I couldn't stand it. Hope you like it better than I did.

Good morning. We had a frost overnight, for the first time in a couple of weeks. The robins are all back, my rhubarb is coming up, along with the Autumn Joy Sedums and all of my lilacs have buds. I hope last night didn't stump them for the year.

Hoping for the electrical to be finished today, it's hard using the bathroom at night with just a nightlight, lol. The cats have just now discovered that something is going on in there. I found 3 of them wandering around sniffing this morning, it's the first time they've gone in there that I know of. 2 of them did try going in the other day when there were big holes cut in the floor, but I put a stop to that quickly. If they got in the basement they could hide in a hundred places and it would take forever to find them.

Going to make a grocery run with my SIL around noon. I don't need much, as Don hasn't been eating much, and I haven't felt like cooking just for myself. It shouldn't take me long, Dave will have to manager without a 'go-fer' for an hour or so.

Have a nice Wednesday--
