We started with rain, which turned to snow, enough to cover the ground. Turned into huge flakes and is now back to rain. The plows and sanders are out, as the temp dropped from 40 to 33. Just waiting for the winds to start, that will make the weather complete for the day.

Tom and I are both feeling good. Gus is still on meds for his liver and antibiotics. He takes his meds, 4 each day with Velveeta wrapped around it.

Well hello everyone, long time no see. I've been lurking here in the corner, haven't really felt like talking, praying for you all when it's been needed.

We had a big storm blow through last night. A couple of tornados scattered about North Texas but mostly a big wind event. Those don't bother me like the tornados do.

Snowysmom, sounds like you have found a good condo. I hope that it works out for you, to finally find a place that you can call home.

Next week is Spring Break for the GK's. This is DD's year for it though her ex tried to convince her that it was his. She has mediation scheduled for March 13th. Doesn't know what they will be mediating but we know her ex will find something to grouse about.

DS has a tentative schedule to have transplant chemo the third week of March and transplant the fourth week of March. He has a meeting with the transplant team about it on March 10th. He found out this week that he has multiple donors that match 100%. Thank you Lord, I am humbled.

I'm back on Weight Watchers. Not loosing weight fast but five pounds is gone. My blood pressure has been higher than normal the last couple of weeks. Been working with my cardiologist on it. Haven't felt real good hence my absence. I've cut out all soft drinks, I don't really miss them. Sweets are not my food of choice so I'm good there. Have a physical in a couple of weeks so we will see what my blood work shows. Have had a lot of acid reflux/GERD too so I'm staying away from caffeine. I really miss a good cup of coffee in the morning.

Trees are budding out, daffodils are a bright spot in my front yard. I think a visit to the Dallas Arboretum is in order!

Kirby… take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon. You’ve been under a lot of stress lately, that can do a lot to affect your health. I’m glad you have encouraging news about your son, I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers..

We missed out on the snow we were supposed to get, I’m so glad. I do not enjoy the clean up, Kris used to take care of all that. I don’t even own the proper clothes for blowing snow. I’m really hoping the snow is done for the year.

I had an appointment with my Pulmonologist this week. I was discussing some symptoms I’ve been having and he is pretty sure that it is stemming from minor panic attacks. I think that he is right. I’ll talk to my primary next time I see her.

@dazedx3 I hope you can get some peace talking with your doctor about your panic attacks. I am glad you did not get the snow. I ended up in a condo so I did not have to take care of snow removal and lawn stuff. I don't even want to have to get a contract with a company to do it. Thinking of you. Please take care. I do know it is a difficult journey.

@Kirby Your DD's ex keeps on going and not in a good way. I am glad your DD has you in her corner. Good news for your son and his transplant. I can understand your health issues with so much stress going on. I hope you feel better soon.

We got some snow overnight but not as much as I thought based on their forecast. There is maybe an inch and it looks to be slushy. I am glad because I was not looking forward to having to be in the condo all day. Now I can go do some errands. I got an extension on signing the P&S on the condo so Jeff can see it next weekend. I get an email today from my agent saying to bring a check today when we go to see the condo. The extension is until next weekend when Jeff can see it. Why do things always get messed up? I have the email granting the extension so I forwarded it to my agent. I really wish things would work out once in a while. I feel like I have a gremlin in my life just messing up things. I have asked God and Chris for help and guidance on buying this condo, if it is the right path for me. Maybe this is my answer. I thought my answer was to have Jeff look at it too as he is very detailed oriented and will see things Kenny and I may miss. Also he is reading the condo docs. I am not signing a P&S for a purchase like this without his input. If that means they take back the extension then so be it. That will be my sign. I want to be absolutely sure before I buy. Kenny told me last night that he thinks it would be a good place for me. I believe it could be a good place for me too as it checks off all my boxes. But, I have to be 100% sure. Jeff is the last piece of the puzzle. Sorry for the rambling but I am a bit ticked off about the email from my agent.

Dazed, huge please, please, take care. I sincerely do pray you know you're not alone in your grief journey. God is foremost forever beside you. All of us care, too! Do you enjoy swimming or any other type of activity? What about volunteering or becoming involved in a church ministry or with some local organization or even library? I would love for you, my friend, to have a weekly positive part of your routine to look forward to. Meeting new friends, of course, would be a huge bonus. Please don't isolate yourself.

Snowysmom, I'm also so sorry about the email. The last thing you need is added pressure to be rushed with your decision! Not right at all. Please do what is in your heart! I also hope Charlotte is able to have her party and has a lot of fun.

Winds finally died down, sun is out. Dave was here for 3 hours. We got 90% of the paneling, tiles off the walls. Got all of the ceiling tiles down, the electrical covers off. He's coming back tomorrow with his brother to take the tub, vanity and linen closet out of the house. Then he's starting on the floor. Hopes to have the plumbing done except for the tub. We have to get it in the house so he can see what size trap he needs for it. It's still sealed in the box. He lucked out, he thought he was going to have to take old dry wall down on the walls and break it all up to get rid of it. Because the kitchen and master bath used to be a porch, he found nice thick plywood under the paneling and tiles. All he has to do is put up new drywall, and saved himself a couple of hours. I took all the stuff out to his truck as he was pulling it off, so he only had to make 1 trip with a big garbage can full when he left. I just vacuumed all the cobwebs from the ceiling, and cleaned the tub. I am tired! Now I am going to do a long hot beauty treatment, for the last time in my claw foot tub. I am really going to miss that!

Then to figure out something for me to have for dinner. Don hasn't eaten anything all day and has to have something light for dinner, so it doesn't disagree with his system.

Dad and I enjoyed watching some Price is Right this morning. In a little while we will check out a DVR-ed Summer movie--how I wish it were Summer weather. I've been working on making a list of all my It will be so handy to be able to easily refer back to such a list when looking on Paperback Swap or even the Library Catalog for what books or series of books I already have. Not much fun but something that needs to be done. I've ordered a couple times now a book I already have and don't want to do that again! No packages expected today, two cards are. Dad is finally going to look on Amazon later to spend the rest of his birthday gift from his friend Dan. He's enjoying a classical music DVD he got with some of that it already which brings me joy, of course to know.

Good afternoon. Everyone is so busy today. My agent called me this morning to tell me that she messed up the date and I am correct on the extension to sign. She is in LA with her son and she said that she is confused with the time. She was very apologetic. That was good. I did ask her if there are many houses with in law apts in Kenny's area and she said no, not many at all. And when one does come up it is very expensive and sells quickly. I just wanted to know.

I have been packing up stuff today, shredding papers, and loading up the car to bring stuff to Kenny's house tomorrow. I also have the next load ready to go Tuesday when I see my therapist. I really wish I didn't have this move to do. I am not sure it will make a difference as far as my heartbreak and loneliness goes but I do want to be able to help out Kenny if and when needed. I am hoping Kenny will be a little bit less stressed with Mom nearby to help. I think if Kenny was not getting a divorce I would have just stayed in this condo and sucked it up which probably would not have been the right choice. One good thing about living out near Kenny is my therapist will be nearby. I did go to Target to get some bins and found some Easter candy for the kids' baskets. The snow has been heavy at times or just floating flakes but no real additional accumulation. The temp is around 36 so it is mostly slushy and wet with about an inch of snow on the grassy areas.

From everything you have shared, you need for your own peace of mind and health move on. I am so glad your agent apologized and realized her mistake. Good morning. It is cool and sunny with a bit of snow on the ground. I walked earlier and it was peaceful. I have been to Trader joe's to get some salad mixes, grilled chicken, and yogurt. I am making pasta and chicken for Kenny and the kids this week and I am making pizza for Kenny and I when I spend a couple of nights with him at the end of the week. I bought some flowers for myself even though it was hard to do. I am feeling sorry for myself so needed a pick me up. I know I could be crazy but I felt Chris with me helping me pick out the flowers. I went right to 2 bunches that had pink roses in them. I didn't even look at anything else. He brought me pink roses for our anniversary every year. My wedding bouquet was pink roses and baby's breath.

I am going to drop off stuff at Kenny's house and if he is there talk with him a bit. Charlotte had a nice party yesterday at her gymnastics place. They are busy today catching up since 2 weekends have been taken up with Charlotte's birthday.

@Snowysmom I am glad you bought yourself flowers, you deserve them even if they bring back memories, enjoy them! And thanks for the well wishes for Don

I 'think' Don is feeling a little better this morning. He seems more like himself. His meds are back to normal, but his system still isn't 100%. He did eat a scrambled egg and english muffin last night, and asked me to make the same this morning, and he ate 2 eggs instead of one.

Dave and his brother were here at 9. I can't believe that the 2 of them carried a cast iron claw foot tub through the house, down the steps and outside. Daryl took the linen closet to use for a canned goods cabinet in his kitchen. Dave just left to take Daryl home, and is coming back to tear out the floor. Then it's the plumbing and then the new plywood goes down. Then the floor. Then he will put the old toilet back until we are done painting and stuff, so the new one doesn't get paint or scratches on it. That works for me.

I now have a claw foot tub in the back yard. I told him I was going to bring buckets of hot water outside tonight and have a real hot tub, lol!

I took a long hot bath again last night, and changed the sheets. I was so tired and sore that it took me a long time to fall asleep. I think it's going to be like that till this remodel is done.
