Good Morning!

Love the lamp post! Have fun at the Fort @DisneyMommyMichelle. I don’t play any of those games!

@footballmouse I meant to ask if you would share your recipe for stuffed pepper casserole? It sounds good! I hope Evan feels better! He has to treat that strep or it can affect his heart valves! Show him this. I’m sure he’d rather take the pils than be in the hospital and on IV antibiotics for six weeks through a PICC line, or to have his heart valve replaced! :scared:

I hope everyone has a good day! 🐥

Hello! Yum for dinner!! We had a Mexican dish of Calabasitas (Mexican type of Squash) and Beef simmered in tomatoes to create a tomato sauce and served over beans, then topped with queso fresco, guacamole and sour cream!

QOTD: NO< NO< NO!!!
Funny story on that answer though....My kids wanted to go out to the movies, dinner and a haunted house on their last weekend in town with friends but they needed a parent to sign waivers at the HH and for the movies (oldest is only 17, youngest in the group was 14). After getting permission from all the parents, we took a couple cars everywhere but the movie was HALLOWEEN ENDS!!! I begged the theater to let me see another movie and I could pop in to check them out regularly...but alas no such luck!!! I bought a giant popcorn, slushie and kept my eyes closed for 95% of the previews and around 50% of the movie. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting but at the same time, that was more than enough for me!

CONGRATS TO YOU on getting that printer to work and now you have a backup just in case!!! I never signed up for that instant ink thing, always seemed like a scam to me. In town we have a small computer store that refills inks and you bring your cartridge and they do it for a fairly decent price! I liked that idea.

Exactly what I was thinking. I read so many reviews on printers, and on that instant ink thing being not what it was advertised as. Why would I pay almost $7 a month for ink..I don't use that much (certainly not the 700 pages a month they tell you is the average). And I buy ours on Ebay (I always buy HP OEM) for much cheaper than what they would be charging me for it.
Oooo, how fun!!!!

Good morning. It was 36 when I got up this morning and they say the high will be 46. Sister in Law was in Morgantown yesterday and she said there were little balls of sleet falling.

Summer (stepdaughter) goes to Morgantown Friday for shots in her knees, an ultrasound of her hand. They are also going to do scans of her spine and hips to see if the tumor has grown, or anymore hardening of the soft tissue. Her Dr said she will also discuss all the other test results, and anything else Summer might want to discuss. If anyone can spare some prayers on Friday, it would be appreciated

@DisneyMommyMichelle --That lamp is adorable. I never saw one like that. Your husband is doing a great job on it. I hope you have a wonderful vacation at the fort

Its off to do errands and grocery shopping for me. Just took the trash down to the street, and for a change the paper guy came early. If I put the trash where it's supposed to go, he drives into it and knocks it into the storm gulleys. So I have to bring it down, put it farther up, and then go back down and put it where they will pick it up. Paper carrier is a moron! He will drive down the street, pull into the parking lot across the street, turn around,,come to our driveway and drive close enough to the paper box to put it in without getting out of his car. Then he goes up the next street to deliver 1 paper, and then drives back towards town, lol

Have a good morning

Awesome Mickey Lamp! I've wanted one since I first saw them at the Fort!
This was hilarious. I would have sat through the movie the same way 😧. I actually would have left that movie and went to another one (wouldn't have said anything to the workers).

Love the lamp. I did the same thing to my lamp post in the front of my house. I didn't want to drill holes for the ears to sit in so I just glued mine on top of the base (Mickey's head). The light didn't get up to the ears and someone eventually knocked the ears off. I gave up after that but it did look really cute.:earsboy:

Not sure if I'll be going to Evan's soccer game tonight. He's had strep throat since the weekend and took off work Monday & Tuesday. He has amoxicillin to take but he's convinced he's allergic to penicillin so he won't take it. I told him he isn't but when he was in the Army, they told him he was. He has been taking this medicine his entire childhood because he had strep through once a year, never a reaction.🤦‍♀️

That's about it for me today. Have a great day!princess:
@Judique thank you! That is where I first saw them too and have wanted one forever, of course my husband thinks that the perfect time to make one is RIGHT before we are getting on the road!

@PollyannaMom
I wanted to do the glue for the lamp too, !!! My husband is the one that warned me it wouldn't travel well, just be for the front of the house!!

Lol, so many people asked why I just didn't go into another movie, but I am too chicken thinking that they will track me down! :rotfl2:
Love the lamp @DisneyMommyMichelle! And yes, I play Wordle (and Nerdle - the math version, as well).
@PollyannaMom I am afraid to try Needle!! :rotfl: thank you for your kind words!!
@Pea-n-Me than you for the kind words!!!

Thank you so much for the well wishes, we are eager to get down.

You have our prayers 🙏 for Summer!! Beautiful name, our daughter is Autumn 💜

Stuffed Pepper Casserole

Yum, sounds delish!

Good Morning everyone,

Love the Mickey lamp, DisneyMommyMichelle! :hug:Lol I would not have set foot into that movie to begin with. So kind of you to do that for your kiddos.

🙏for Evan, Footballmouse! Reactions to medication can be scary indeed. May he feel much better fast! Cheering on your great niece⚽

Much continuing 🙏for Summer, dear Lynn and also that your errands go quickly and smoothly, of course, too.

:grouphug:Pea and prayers you are feeling better this morning! Extra hugs also to PollyannaMom, Judique, along with all of my dear Quacker family members who have yet to post this morning such as Carol, Kirby, Frog, Dazed, Easyas, AuntieMe3, B&B, Canadisney Fly, Bobbiwoz, Luckyrabbit, and anyone else I inadvertently left off.

:wave:Snowysmom and Taz, so happy you got to meet yesterday. I look forward to hearing all about it along with both of your ::MickeyMofun.

Overcast morning here that is supposed to heat up to 90. Much cooler over the weekend. Dad will be headed out briefly to 99, Sprouts, and Ralph's--all three right near each other. We're also waiting for Sandro, our Sparklett's delivery man to come. No more mail yesterday, btw. Still have some pieces missing so here's to hoping that will all come later. Have a beautiful Wednesday, friends 🐥

Hello all, shall I say good morning?! Been up since 2 and I have no clue why...but I know that this blue light from my phone is not helping now :rotfl:

Must have been something with the moon and planets and gravity or something, because DH and I tossxed and turned all night; and we were both up before 4am. I'm going to nap, I think.

Morning all!

It was 44 this morning at 4am, and I was so cold! I have the windows open, and it's 57 (at almost noon); high is supposed to be 67.

Summer (stepdaughter) goes to Morgantown Friday for shots in her knees, an ultrasound of her hand. They are also going to do scans of her spine and hips to see if the tumor has grown, or anymore hardening of the soft tissue. Lots of good vibes coming her way

Well, Geek Squad stopped by, and we are able to get a replacement tv. DH wants me to look at upgrading to a 75", if it's a reasonable cost. I won't have to pay for delivery, since it will be covered due to the replacement, and we get a certain amount to apply to a new tv, if we don't want to get the replacement (another 65"). We will need to buy the extended warranty over again, though, since it is a new tv, which is fine.
I made Soberdough gingerbread bread yesterday, and added crystallized ginger. Yum! I'm making coconut curry soup for dinner (Hello Fresh). I have nothing else going on today; the house is clean, laundry is done...I think a nap is in order. Have a good day!

Finally home and put everything away. Don wanted to try Taco Bell breakfast cruncher wraps on our way to Aldi's. There was noone in the drive thru lane (which I hate using , in fact I hate Taco Bell period) and noone parked out front. I went in and stood at the counter for a good 5 minute,,noone came out. I finally went to the other end of the counter and yelled, asking if anyone was actually working there. A girl comes out, talking on her phone,,stands there talking for a good 2 minutes, not even acknowledging that I am standing there. Another couple had come in behind me. I tell her what I want,,she tries to get it into the register and it won't let her. She tried about 5x, then called the manager,,he comes out and spends another 5 min and he can't get it working either. She finally says I will have to ring you up at the drive through counter. By this time I was getting ticked, and told her she could have said that 10 minutes ago, instead of making me wait and the people behind me wait. She gets the order in, takes my payment, and says it will be right out. 10 minutes later, she comes out from the prep area..throws the bag on the counter, says here you go,,and leaves. No thank you, no saying sorry about the wait, nothing. The people behind me said they were leaving as she didn't even acknowledge them either. Poor excuse for a way to run what is a fairly new restaurant in that city. We have one downtown in ours, but it's been there for about 7 years. Starbucks is right next door to the one we stopped at this morning,,and their parking lot, and drive thru was empty, as was Dunkin''s. Why they put 2 fairly expensive coffee places in our city , when the people that live around here can't afford that stuff is beyond me. It took them 2 years to build the Starbucks, and I doubt if they are making much money since it opened about 2 months ago

Shelves in Aldi's and Walmart were well stocked, I think the delivery problems are starting to ease up. Aldi's had pallet jacks piled full with stuff waiting to go on the shelves in almost every row. Of course prices are up again on everything , in both stores,,I don't even bother looking anymore. I get what I need and go.

Sun just came out, but it's only 47 outside, and it's windy, so it's making it feel even colder

Have a nice afternoon

In my skimming I missed that they found a tumor. What kind of tumor is she dealing with? Hopefully now a suitable treatment will bring her back to a healthy life.

Adding her to all our thoughts and prayers.

. Don wanted to try Taco Bell breakfast cruncher wraps on our way to Aldi's.

Taco Bell has been in my area for many years, and has been the worst I've had to deal with. Every year or so we forget and get in the drive thru line, and get home with wrong stuff, missing items, sloshed around Mexican pizzas, and general order chaos, in addition to getting trapped in the line and then waiting forever.

Last winter I experienced a fast food place in North Carolina with the girls where we got trapped in line and then they were out of everything. At least they could blame the pandemic.

Good afternoon.

I got up this morning and headed down to Sarah's house to let the carpet cleaners in. They were done in 30 minutes. I am doing a study at church (by Zoom) that focuses each week on the verses in the lectionary. So, while at Sarah's, I did my reading for tomorrow. I actually had to stay after the workers left to finish. It's pretty easy.

DH left even earlier than I did and headed the opposite direction to PA to take his sister to the orthopedic doctor. Tomorrow we pack.

Currently watching my recording of Marry Me in Yosemite, mostly for the scenery.

@tazdev3225 and @Snowysmom , thanks for sharing your trip. And glad that you were able to meet. Continue to enjoy your trip.

QOTD: NO< NO< NO!!!
I woman after my own heart.

I begged the theater to let me see another movie and I could pop in to check them out regularly...but alas no such luck!!!
You are a very good mom!

Anyone here play Wordle?
I did, and word hurdle, duotrigordle, quordle, and sedecordle. Somehow I lost interest.

Will check in later.

Speaking of Taco Bell...did you hear that they were voted to have the best drive thru. :rotfl2:😲 No Way!!! Chic-fil-a was voted the worst. I think the vote counters got those two mixed up.

Wow I think they are mixed up too. I have never used Taco Bell's, but if my experience this morning was any indication of how they run it, then I won't ever. We have 2 Chic-fil-a's here and they have the best drive thru's (and in restaurant experience) of any of the restaurants around here.

I have no idea. Last night was the first time she mentioned that they found a tumor. And she didn't elaborate on it. I told her to make sure she calls us on Friday and let's us know everything.

Thank you for the good thoughts and prayers,,sounds like she's really going to need them.

:wave:Good later afternoon to AuntieMe3 and Luckyrabbit and Good evening to the rest of dear you,

No mail as of yet here. We did get a Rite Aid package via FedEx. Tomorrow we are expecting a package delivered through the mail. Dad 🙏tomorrow for his visit to get his hearing checked. I admire his courage in doing this. He does now have an ENT who he would see again following hearing test results.

Still no finders for the bowls. I need to decide by tomorrow afternoon what to do regarding the bigger bowl. Smaller bowl's time to be returned is long over although I could ask.... Recap on returning the bigger bowl by itself is that it originally cost $25. Shipping to return would be about $9. I would get a full refund from the site, but it would really only be $16 after deducting the $9 shipping cost. My other big bowl option is to keep it and get back a 30% refund which would be about $7.49. Neither is too great a choice! Reminder to always carefully read a site or store's return and exchange policies! Maybe someone locally will still turn up or a couple people I asked online would want both. All good though. Blessed to have options.

Dad and I did go to Chick-fil-a a few times pre pandemic and always had excellent service. Dad now buys one of their dipping sauces at Ralph's. Taco bell? Dad maybe went there eons ago, so no recent experiences with them.

🙏and extra:grouphug:Lynn!

Gorgeous 🌳picture Carol! Thank you for sharing it with us. What type of tree (if you know) is it? Not tree-versed other than Jacaranda, thanks to all of you Crepe Myrtle and, of course, most dear to my heart for Evergreen, 🌲

Have a good rest of the day everyone.
