Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

@Breezy_Carol I am glad you have seen your grandson. Prayers that he keeps improving so he can go home.

33 degrees today going up to the mid 40s. Definitely cooler.

Offers came in on my house around 8 last night. Finals are coming in this AM. I have alot of thinking to do. There were 4 offers. I took out the high and low. The high is too high and will not appraise for that much. I am not sure what these people are thinking and my agent does not know either. But, their mortgage company will not go along with their offer as it is too high. The other 2 offers seem reasonable and realistic. I have been talking with my sons and will continue to do so today. One offer gives me 30 days after closing rent free to stay in the house so I would be able to take my time packing up the dishes etc.

Time to make coffee and get to work.

Good Tuesday morning everyone! :daisy:

High 60's today but the rain starts this afternoon.

Finished up Schitt's Creek last night. That was such a funny show. I work from home on Friday so I was planning to watch a movie on Netflix, Rescued by Ruby :dog:. I've had a couple of people tell me that I have to watch this. It's about a dog but nothing happens to her in the end. I had to verify that before I watched it.

I have some salmon in the fridge that I'll throw in the oven when I get home. Haven't decided what kind of veggie to put with it. :stir:

The FBI series of shows are on tonight, I like the FBI: International and the FBI: Most Wanted. Kind of bummed that the main character on Most Wanted is leaving the show.

That's about it for me, have a great day.

Morning all. Definitely cooler this morning--39, but going to mid 60's. Still no signs of robins yet though, even though everything is starting to bloom outside and the grass is growing.

@Snowysmom--I am surprised that they let the potential buyers are willing to let you live rent free after the closing. When I bought my house in MA, the then owners wanted to do that. The real estate agent told me that we would be responsible for anything going wrong in the house during that time. So we made them move on closing day. They were not happy about it. They retaliated by cutting the phone wires (landline at that time), and stuffing the wires back down into the wall. Took a phone guy 2 days to finally find the problem. I hope nothing like that happens in your circumstance, but it's something to just be aware of.

Off to get laundry going, make grocery list for tomorrow, and gather more trash to put out tomorrow

Have a great day

@Snowysmom, congrats on the offers!

@footballmouse, I do that with dog movies too!

I was missing from the thread yesterday because I was watching the twins. We spent a lot of time outside, and we also played Wordle (made our own paper version) and Presidents vs. Aliens 👽 (on the iPad). It was a tiring but fun day.

I did see my own personal first sign of "real" spring, though - my neighbor's forsythia has bloomed!

Good morning everyone! I'm up and lazy this morning. Fed the cats and dog before 6 and then watched Murder She Wrote, or should I say it watched me as I dozed. Got ready to take a shower and still haven't moved into the bathroom.

I have a whole list of things to get done and places to go. It's not as warm as I'd like it to be, just going to 63. I think I want 73.

Enjoy your day all, as I haul myself off to sprinkle some soap and water around.

Good morning..

Already to my PCP this morning for 6 month check up. Nothing new. BP good. She just had her first grandchild this month so we had that to discuss.

Texting with DS this morning. DDIL and he are going home tonight. Marty is unconnected from everything except the nasal feeding tube. Has been taking bottles but supplemented through that. Making good progress to going home too.

Church shift today then yoga tonight.

It's about a dog but nothing happens to her in the end. I had to verify that before I watched it.
There is a website for that. doesthedogdie.com I check it for books too.

Still no signs of robins yet
There never really leave here and I usually start seeing a lot around January 23. I see them regularly now. Daffodils are coming up and our neighbor's forsythia is starting to bloom.

Chili and salad tonight.

Gratitude: Marty and his steady progress toward going home.

Good morning and big congratulations, Snowysmom on the offer! Much prayer this morning brings your house under a final contract. Of course, true deeper prayer this helps to bring you, my friend, added peace!

Let us know what you think of Rescued by Ruby, Footballmouse. Thank you for telling us Ruby is A-ok! I, also, would not have an interest otherwise! I hope this week is calmer for you at work, too.

What an awful experience, Lynn :( Your morning picture brought me a smile to a remember a card grandma and I used to love to get to repeatedly send to one another during my early college days and even while I was still in HS and she had moved to TX. It showed a picture of a brown dog standing on a ladder looking into a house window. The card said, "Just looking in on you to see how you're doing." It was sweet and we enjoyed sending it between us.

I was wondering about you yesterday, PollyannaMom. So glad all is well. Outside with the twins playing a created game sounds like fun. Thank you, always for making such a difference to them!

Hug, Judique, you just please take care. Get some rest!

Thank you Carol for the dog link! I will have to keep that in mind always. Prayers continued for Marty to come home.

It's supposed to be 86 here today. Right now it's cool and overcast. I wish this apartment had better lighting, always feels so dark and later. No complaints, of course, truly blessed to have this apartment and with dad :) Waiting for a couple packages to come later today including a couple books.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Good luck with the offers, Snowysmom! It was nice of those people to offer to let you stay! I think I’d have to choose them!

That sounds like the type of show I’d like about a dog. The last one I watched (Hatchi/Hachiko I think it was) was so sad! (Although I like Richard Gere and kept telling myself ”This is just a movie, the dog was fine”. I did read up on the real dog, tho, and that was really sad.) I am still trying to watch the documentary on Lucy and Desi. I am not much for TV other than news and a few other shows.

Well I don’t have a lot going on other than to say I have to get the day started. (So Judique, I can relate!) It’s my room today, while DH is outside doing some straightening up. I suppose I have to start it! Problem is, I don’t know where to start. So I’m just going to jump in with my dresser, I suppose. (After my shower.) I have a hard time letting go of perfectly good clothes even if I don’t wear them much. (Had depression era parents!)

Some food pics. (ETA changed name in case that offended anyone!) Breakfast and dinner yest. I only ate about 1/4 of the breakfast, it was big. But I got a box and took it home for DS, with additional eggs. DS was happy, but was like, “Hey, wth, I only got a few home fries!” :lmao: Dude, you were lucky to get it! (DD paid!)

And we did the roast beef last night. Everyone loved it. Will probably have that again tonight.

Enjoy the day, everyone! 🐥

Huge portions are definitely a thing around here! DH and I went out the other night when DS was at his friend's house. I got fish and chips, but asked for a box right away and brought half home for him. He loved it, but asked the next day why I hadn't eaten any of my fish. - He was amazed there had been another piece the same size as the one I'd left in the fridge for him.

I'm just so glad you have this week off, Pea along with your DH! Prayers you both are enjoying the break from work. Sometimes getting started on any organizing/paring down of stuff project is indeed the hardest part! Try to find one small area or one drawer to start with at a time. For me, that often helps to see that progress has been made and that everything does not need to be magically resolved at once! Hug, would it help if you donated the clothes you no longer need to an active church ministry or food pantry so that you would know the items would be worn by people soon rather than just sitting or hanging in some store? That way perhaps your mindset could be more easily one of these items will be used and appreciated rather than the easy at times thinking "maybe I will use that someday" and letting it sit in your closet or drawer. Just a thought.

Wow, that does sound like a lot of food, PollyannaMom! Glad your DS also along with Pea's DS with her leftovers) got to enjoy the leftovers.

Those are good points, thank you! I was planning to donate to worthy causes. (A couple I know help women who need clothes for work and that sort of thing.) I went outside and DH said it’s supposed to rain the next two days, so he suggested I work on my room then. It is a gorgeous day today with almost perfect, sunny weather. Sun feels so good! :goodvibes

Thank you for the save, Carol!

Earlier, I found Hallmark Spring Movies start this Saturday night at 8pm. None of the brief descriptions particularly grab my attention. I will check out for sure the last 2 movies as long as the dogs are okay in the dog one! Thanks, Carol, for the link earlier.

Grateful today extra for an easy laundry morning and shopping for dad and that he rested this afternoon and finally hearing that a friend is enjoying a mini trip to see Carlsbad flower fields Very pretty! Someday God-willing, post plague, Descanso Gardens will be a MUCH closer and easier, more local trip for dad and I to take.

Sweet dreams, friends and have a good night.

Good morning! :flower3:

Pea-n-Me, your breakfast and dinner looks delicious! Last night for dinner I made salmon and carrots, not very exciting.

Supposed to rain and hail this afternoon. Nothing else really going on. Got home from work, played with the dogs, turned on NCIS reruns and played my painting game on my phone. I really need to get up and start exercising.

Fell asleep last night before the show I was watching was over, again. Luckily I recorded it so now I have to go back and fast forward to the last 15 minutes to see how it ended. Me and Cheeto the cat need to stop getting comfortable in bed thinking I'll watch TV there, nope, going to fall asleep.

That it for me, have a great day!

Good morning all. Now I officially call it Spring..the robins are in the back yard this morning! Only going to be 52 today though.

Trash is out for pick up..after 8 and still no morning paper, here we go again.

Did a whole lot of nothing yesterday, taking a Spring cleaning break for a couple of days, till it feels like Spring again, lol

Off to the market shortly.

Have a great day everyone~

Home from grocery shopping, stores were almost empty. I had to laugh at Walmarts canned cat food row. They have all these signs up that say 'for more choices, scan this and go to walmart.com' Yeah that's why I am in walmart..so I can order online..and there were no choices at the store, so walmart.com would have to have 'more'..lol

Rainy, damp, 43 degrees, calling for severe thunderstorms tonite,,yep, just cause I see robins, and it's spring, the storms will start
