@flyingdumbo127 glad your dad is feeling better today.

I told her if she felt sick to wake me up. Wouldn't you know she woke me up at 3:30 to go outside.
That's so cute. Our Buddy will not get sick in the house. He will hold it until we can get him out, and as soon as he's out he'll take off to his bathroom spot or just go straight to the dirt to barf. We've never even had to clean up anything when he's been home alone either. I appreciate it...lol

I read once that a sound for an alarm clock that could really get you to jump out of bed was the sound of a dog retching.
Sooo true. :sad2: Gross.... Bingo was NOT great at holding it in until we got outside. We have laminate floors through most of the house, tile in the kitchen and entry and just concrete in the bedroom after we ripped the carpet up in there and never replaced it. He always chose to barf right on the one small carpet we have in our room. :scared: So as soon as I would hear him, I'd jump out of bed and try to get him out....we almost never made it to the door.:sad2: Yuck.

Walked from the hotel to Starbucks this morning...it was about a mile there and back. It's on the main little street of town with a bunch of restaurants. Wasn't as far as I had always thought so it opens up more places for me to walk to for lunch by myself or dinner with DH while we're here. He's gone before with coworkers and friends but I always thought the area was way farther to walk to and there is very little parking to drive over so we stuck with places we can drive/park or have delivered. I'm excited now to know it's not that far and an easy walk. Already planning on going again tomorrow so I can go the bank and PO right down the street from Starbucks. The rest of the day I'll continue my walks around the building.

DH had a pretty bad day at work yesterday and today's not looking great so he's been a little grumpy so I'm looking forward to the weekend. Hopefully he doesn't have to work and we can do something fun.

Hope you all have a great day.

Carol I got Good Enough. I was thinking it would be good to read a little bit each day. So far I do like it.

I wonder why all the doggies have been having tummy troubles. I hope they are all feeling better, the kitties too.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope your Dad is feeling better.

@dazedx3 Sending prayers and good thoughts to you and your DH. :grouphug:

According to my agent the photographer is at the house today. I am sure after the stager was done it no longer looked anything like my house. Another house is for sale the next street over. It was contingent last week the day after the open house but now it is back on the market. I wonder what happened. It is for sale for $150K more than mine but it is updated and a little bit bigger. The lot size is smaller though.

I m fighting a cold that I got from my 3 year old DGS. He had it late last week and I started with it a couple of days ago. I think I am losing the battle.

Have a nice evening.

I'm so glad, PollyannaMom that you, too, have some positive cousins in your life! Thank you for the reminder to text my own TX cousins "Hi."

I pray this will never happen to any of you! I am sharing this to hopefully be helpful. I sent a friend of mine a package of paperback books as a gift last week. My mistake was not making note of all the books included inside the padded envelope. She received the package today. One problem: The envelope was EMPTY of any books :( I did file a claim with the post office. Maybe the books will be found. It would have been helpful had I had either titles and/or ISBN's. Please always remember to do this! Regardless, this is minor of course, I do hope the books will get read by someone.

Extra Thursday gratitude: First and Foremost, that by God's Grace, dad truly is doing a ton better this evening. Our Old Navy package was a success all-around. Happy memories of Champ and knowing he is having a birthday blast this day with my grandparents in Heaven and most of all, Jesus!

Sweet dreams 🐥

@Pea n me Toto is adorable

@flyingdumbo127 Sorry to about the books. i hope they can find them. I am glad your Dad is feeling better. Cham is indeed having a nice birthday in heaven.

@AuntieMe3 Sounds like you are having a nice trip.

I have a nice sunrise right outside my window. It makes me think of Chris as he really like those. I took a picture even though there is a screen in the picture. I do love this picture.

I have the day off. I am doing some shopping for Easter as well as going to the house to close it up properly after the photo guy and real estate agent were there. That is the trouble with being an hour away.

Happy Friday! :jumping1:

Getting ready for it to be snowy again tonight. I thought we were done with this mess :headache:. I'll definitely fill the bird feeder up today so my gang of birds don't go hungry for the weekend.

Watched a movie last night that was really good, Ford vs Ferrari, I wanted to see this when it came out but I never made it to the theater. :car:

Going to try to grab a nap this afternoon before I have to go to work. I'd really like to get a few errands done this morning, maybe use my lunch break to do this. I usually clean and do laundry on Friday's since I work most weekends, I think I'll do the laundry and wait until Monday to clean the house.

AuntieMe, that dog wig cracked me up. Pea-n-Me, I can't believe that dog kept those ears on long enough for a picture. I bought Mickey and Minnie ears for my dogs a couple of years ago and they got those things off real quick. ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo

That's about it for me, hope everyone has a great weekend. :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. Going to be in the 60's today, winter weather advisory for tomorrow. At least they downgraded us from a winter storm warning to that. Maybe an inch of snow. You can all blame me for this weather. I put my winter coat, boots, gloves, and scarves away for the winter. I put the snow shovels and ice scrapers back outside in the shed, and I washed my floor Tuesday--lol. So of course we will get more bad weather!

Watched Survivor last night. I already love that Maryann girl,,she makes me laugh. Sorry that they pulled that one guy out, but it was his own fault for not revealing that he was on Lithium until taping started. And I am super glad at the annoying kid who went home.

Going to stop at Giant today. Everyone else has had corned beef for $5.99 a lb for flat, and $3.99 a lb for point cuts. Giant has flat cuts for $2.47 and point cuts for $1.67. Going to grab 2 of each and put 3 of them in the freezer for when we feel like having it again. I got a cabbage at Aldi's on Wed for $.65 a lb (I got a small one, only cost me $.62, but now Giant has it for $.12 a lb. Just can't win with prices, lol

Have a nice morning all--hope you don't get much out of the storm!

Dad 🙏 please. He overlooked a small step down to his car after leaving the post office this morning. Thank God, he did not fall! He did somehow twist his leg/side. He does have a doctor appointment tomorrow (not with his primary). I keep trying to tell him to call to at least ask when he could be rescheduled. He wants to give it a little longer before deciding. Thanks, friends.
Glad to read later in the thread that he is feeling better.
Gas went up 50 cents a gallon since I filled up on Sunday.
I just heard on our local news that our state (MD) has removed the gas tax for a month...I think they said it was $.37 or $.39 cents per gallon. Not sure if it starts immediately or in the next day or so.
I saw my therapist last evening. She makes me think and comes up with some interesting points.
I think it's really helpful when someone can help us think about something from a different angle so-to-speak. Helps reevaluate our thoughts & views sometimes.
Easyas, hopefully you survived the OSHA class! 🥱
My life is seemingly one revolving OSHA class (or regulation) after another. I still have to give the class to several other employees. And then I need to redo the 30 hour class for myself. yawnyawnyawn.
Time for coffee before work.
I'm dying for some coffee. I have some medical tests later this afternoon and I'm on nothing but water till about 3 or 3:30 this afternoon. I'm starting to fantasize about coffee and Chik Fil A fries and a hoagie from Wawa.
Tomorrow DH has more scans and tests..
Good thoughts going out to him, you & your family.
I m fighting a cold that I got from my 3 year old DGS. He had it late last week and I started with it a couple of days ago. I think I am losing the battle.
There is a head cold going around the office, my SIL had it and our HR gal has it. I'm waiting for it to hit more of us, myself included. I guess only time will tell. Maybe I'll stock up on a bit of Theraflu while I'm at Target this afternoon.
OMGosh... what the heck?? :lmao: :lmao::laughing::lmao::laughing:
That is hilarious!
I have the day off. I am doing some shopping for Easter
I'm planning a nice putz around Target and Home Goods myself this afternoon. We don't celebrate Easter, but I might pick up a peanut butter egg as a treat...I mean- peanut butter & chocolate are pretty good! And I'm on the look out for a few decorative items to freshen up my décor, so maybe something will stand out to me.
Going to stop at Giant today
I've got to hit the grocery store on my way home later today. Trying to decide between Harris Teeter or Food Lion. Decisions decisions.

Good morning everyone. Looks like those of us on the east coast are up for some delightful weather on Saturday, and a chilly Sunday. I guess we will hunker down and have a 'do nothing' type of day on Saturday since it will be raining so hard. Or maybe go to a movie if we can summon the interest to do so. Or indulge in cooking something for dinner that takes some time/energy since I'll be home with nothing else to do. hmmmm maybe something comforting like mac & cheese. I shouldn't plan a meal when I'm hungry! Sorry!

While I can do without the cold & rain & wind of this time a year, it is pleasant to hear the frogs chirping loudly away now, especially when we have the odd warmer evening. The tadpoles have emerged in the pond, and we can see them flitting back and forth under the surface.

Time for some more water -

Good morning.

I ordered swim suits from Target online. Two sizes each of two different tankini tops and one bottom that would go with either. Five of the six items came yesterday but I was too cold to try them on. I tried them this morning and the bottom that came fit and I picked one of each top I liked. Glad I got the 2 sizes I fluctuate between as I am keeping one top in one size and the other top in the alternate size. After the last piece comes, Ill be off to Target to do returns.

Watched a movie last night that was really good, Ford vs Ferrari,
DH liked it, he likes cars, but I found it to be a bore.

AuntieMe, that dog wig cracked me up. Pea-n-Me, I can't believe that dog kept those ears on long enough for a picture. I bought Mickey and Minnie ears for my dogs a couple of years ago and they got those things off real quick.
Remember several years back there was an Amazon commercial with a golden retriever wearing a fake mane to make him look like a lion? We had to buy one for our Grace. She would keep it on for all of 29 seconds, never long enough to photogragh.

I just heard on our local news that our state (MD) has removed the gas tax for a month
I'll have to be sure I shop in MD and not DE. I heard they were considering but not that it passed.

Trying to decide between Harris Teeter or Food Lion.
Where is Harris Teeter?

Better get to my chores.

@Pea-n-Me said --I just heard on our local news that our state (MD) has removed the gas tax for a month...I think they said it was $.37 or $.39 cents per gallon. Not sure if it starts immediately or in the next day or so.

our paper just reported that this morning..but I found an article from the Baltimore Sun last Sunday that says the same thing--

Then I looked up the current gas tax in MD and it says that it's $.37 per gallon and slightly higher for diesel

At least it's something to look forward to at the pumps,,it will be below $4 a gallon again,,lol

Good Morning,

Precious, Toto, Pea! He is just adorable! Love the bunny ears and agree with others that he is a patient pup to wear them.

What a beautiful and tranquil picture, Snowysmom! God's Glory and Light shining through big-time.

I will be ecstatic to be able to safely one day set foot inside our laundromat! Ralph's, too! I hope all of you get needed shopping done smoothly.

Glad Spring is slowly coming. Pray for warmer weather always, of course, too. Thank God, dad seems fine this morning. He's off doing laundry and then going to Ralph's. I hope he stays home this weekend.

Thank you everyone also on the books and always on Champ!

Happy Friday to all with love.
