Good Morning friends

I hope you and the pups had a cozy evening, Easyas. ITA that dogs along with young kids especially prefer and do better with a routine. But then, sometimes we all do! I’m proud from afar of your DS, too. Good job, mom :)

Wow, Carol, to a deer running through your yard. I did get a close up of a couple deer once in Yosemite. Thanks for the medical record info. 76 cents per page at least is much more affordable than the prices it sounded like Taz’s DH’s former doctor was wanting, yikes! You amaze me with all the hiking/waling and outdoor activities, good for you! That is wonderful that both you and your DH are able to get out like that together. I’m not much of a fan of change either.

Hooray, Lynn! I prayed extra for you to get a good night’s rest last night, my friend. Please continue to take care and have a relaxing day today at HOME—praise God!

Waving hi and sending a hug in your direction, PollyannaMom :) ITA with you about technology changes. Simpler and what I’m used to, please!

Happy, Happy Birthday Footballmouse! I hope you have a great day, my friend and did enjoy your hot chocolate! Is a frozen hot chocolate like a milkshake? I’m not sure I ever heard of that sounds good though :) Hug and prayers to you I’m sorry you are in pain :(

Hug and prayers all goes well with your dental appointment, AuntieMe3!

Waiting today for the maintenance man to come hopefully fix our shower sliding doors and do something about the shower head along with bathtub faucets. The shower head seems to have a leak that can cause it to spray out into the bathroom! The faucets in the bathtub are so hard (even for my dad) to turn on and off now. These were newer, too, as was the shower head.

Also waiting for UPS to come pick up the night stand. Thankfully Amazon did reimburse (via Amazon credit) dad for the money he spent on a huge box--actually two boxes that the kind box man up the street created for him yesterday. We'll get our night stand money back within the usual 3-5 days after Amazon receives (or maybe UPS scans the label) the item.

Happy Tuesday to all. I'll check back later :)

Summer just brought Mr L home from his Drs appt, and from getting my meds. Then she handed me a pkg from the animal hospital that put Midnite to sleep last week. They sent a lovely card, signed by everyone there, that had a print of his pawprint, and a little plaster cast mold of his paw print. Since we don't have his ashes, these little momentos of him mean the world to me, and of course made me cry. I spent an hour on the phone with our internet company redoing our plan, saved almost $100 a month, got faster internet, and more channels. Put laundry in, and I am done for the day. It is sunny and 76 degrees outside!

This picture is of Midnite, in his favorite sleeping position from 2017, lol He loved laying like that!Midnite August 2017.jpg

Lynn Glad you are home and getting some rest.

@flyingdumbo127 It is hard to buy furniture online. It is nice that Amazon is good about returns.

I skipped going to the house today. I went to Target to buy some bins I needed as well as coat hangers and some stocking stuffers for the boys. I changed my bed, did 2 laundries, cleaned out the closet a bit, took a walk, and went onto work to clear out my emails that came in since DH passed. I have no need to do anything with those emails and it will make my return to work a bit easier. What did make me a bit upset was that my manager has changed how one of my duties is done. He tends to make it overly complicated with formulas and such. Something to look forward to. I will take another walk in a bit. Tonight I am making supper of chicken sausages, broccoli, and potatoes. I try to cook for DS and family two days a week.

Have a good day.

:grouphug:Lynn. I am sorry about Midnight. Hooray for Summer and God Bless the vet staff for making you that card, how lovely! Great job saving money, too :cheer2:Just don't be going back to your usual tricks of crazy cleaning every day, please. Take care and let Mr. L help you!

Big:grouphug: to as well, dear Snowysmom. I'm glad you got to Target including for some fun stocking stuffer shopping :santa: I'm sorry about your manager. Complicating anything, especially un needed, is well...un needed! I'm sure DS and his family appreciate the meals you make, too!

UPS came and the monster box is gone. Dad and I are so happy about that. He washed both of our new comforters this morning. They came out perfectly. Lol, I admit to still being a bit surprised he chose a dark purple comforter for himself but what matters is he likes it. Mine is a solid greenish blue on one side and colorful, but not over-whelming in color, stripes on the other. We're both thankful at much simpler and more to our tastes as well comforters! My friend Sue will be getting on Thursday my old cupcake print comforter for one of her great grand daughters. Dad's old comforter will probably be donated on Monday. We could ask the maintenance man when (hopefully comes later today) would want it.

Wishing all of you a good afternoon. Do something just for you :)

Catching up on sleep and housework. Slowly, lol. Sending some birthday gifts to family (love Amazon Smile) and writing out some cards. I’d really like to get away from cards, but old habits die hard, I guess. :rolleyes1 Everyone sounds pretty good here, sorry I don’t have it in me tonight to comment individually, but know that I am happy for good news, sad for hard issues, and praying and hoping for good things for everyone here. 🙏🏻

DS is on his way to WDW right now, I guess I get to worry for the next several hours, I am such a bad flyer! (Even though it’s him and not me!) Funny, he is with his girlfriend’s family, but she isn’t going down until tomorrow! I’m really glad he’s settled in with a family that he’s so comfortable with. I also helped DD plan a winter trip today, but no trips in the work for DH and I right now. I enjoyed our summer trips when no one was there! :duck:

Last night I managed to make some Chicken Caesar wraps for us for an easy dinner. DH is grilling chicken for us tonight which has been marinating in Italian dressing for a couple of days, that should be good. I have my pumpkin Yankee Candle going, and am going to veg a bit until the madness starts again tomorrow. Have a good evening, all! 🐥

 Beautiful cat. I’m sorry.

I hope Auntie’s dog is doing ok. 🙏🏻

How is the foster dog, Easyas?

I lost out on yet another adoption last week. But Toto has been amazing. The best boy. :lovestruc

:hug:Pea. You please take care of yourself, my friend, too! I'm also happy for your DS and hope he has fun at WDW. :dogdance:Toto :) I'm sorry about the other dog. It will happen. Good reminder! AuntieMe3, I also, pray your dog is doing better. You (all of you) know I still love old fashioned cards and taking time to write them. Reminder to any of you who would like happy mail to let me know.

No maintenance man or mailman here yet. The weather is going back to grayer at the moment, too.

We need a fun QOTD. Anyone? :)

Wishing all of you a good evening.

Here we go, and who knows if it's been asked before.

QOTD Which of Snow White’s seven dwarfs describes you best (Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy or Sneezy)?

I'd either say Happy or Sneezy. I try to be happy and not complaining but I do sneeze often.

Thank you. Unfortunately he's doing the same. When DH talked to vets office the other day, our vet said he wanted him in to get more bloodwork but he was very concerned. When I called today to make an appointment, the tech let me know the Dr wanted to speak to us first so that doesn't sound good. :( I was hoping some meds might do the trick but that might just be wishful thinking now. DH is already feeling pretty devastated about it....he's his boy. I haven't even mentioned anything to DD because I'm not home yet and I don't want her to be super upset without us there. I guess we'll know more Friday. :guilty:

I'm totally Sleepy....:faint: <-- I don't know if that guy is sleeping or what but looks like me most of the time.

I've had such bad anxiety lately, especially today...I'm sure the dog situation is a key factor plus being worried about my dental appointment Thursday. I've tried my meditation, walking, just trying to zone everything out but it's not helping. I took a nice, long hot shower early and that helped a bit but still feeling anxious tonight.

Tomorrow after my niece gets out of school, we'll head to my house for the night. She's off for Veterans Day Thursday and while I'm at my dentist appointment, she'll hang out with my dad and his dogs. She super excited about that. As soon as my appointment is over we'll head back back her house for gymnastics class that night and ready for school on Friday. My sister and BIL will be home late Thursday night and I'll head home as soon as they get here. She's so cute and funny....always making me last but I think I mentioned before she has SOO.MUCH.ENERGY. I am worn out.

Since I'm probably the last one to post tonight, I hope everyone had a good night sleep and a great couple of next days as I'm not sure how much I'll be on.

If you don't mind sending some good thoughts for my Bingo boy....I think he really needs them. :sad1:

I would have to say Doc or Bashful. I tend to overanalyze things and try to figure out why things are what they are. I guess Doc would do that somewhat. As far as Bashful goes, I am an introvert and tend to be a bit shy in new situations and in a large group of people.

@Pea-n-Me Sorry about not getting the dog. There is the right one out there for you and I hope the dog comes soon. Toto does look like he is a sweet boy.

The woman who does memory quilts returned by call last and said we would talk today. One step closer to getting it done. Now if only social security would return my call from early October, mid October, end of October, and early November. I will call again early next week. All they say is I am in the queue. Well. it must be one heck of a queue. If I do not hear back by early December I am thinking of contacting someone in my congressional office. This is absolutely unacceptable. If I could do this online I would but they are clear you need to talk to someone and that involves making an appointment. If they don't call me back how can I do that. I really don't need this to be as hard as it is.

Have a nice day.

I'm going to say Doc because my first reaction was to be scientific and Google one of those online quizzes.

Then I will throw in a little bit of Grumpy, because I apparently picked the wrong quiz - it wouldn't give me my results until I answered a bunch or stupid market research questions, and I got so annoyed I closed the website.:rotfl:

Happy Wednesday everyone :flower2:

Worked a 1/2 day at the office yesterday. Met Ds2 at a jewelry store yesterday and helped him pick out an engagement ring. He's not asking her yet, he wanted to get it picked out and paid for first. He was so funny while we were there. He didn't realize that he'll also need a wedding ring to go with the engagement ring, he thought they were the same thing. I really wanted to laugh at some of his questions but I didn't, this is all new to him. He picked out a very pretty oval ring.

AuntieMe3 - sorry to hear about your dog, I know it's hard to go through. Hope they are able to get him on a medication that will help him.

lynxstch - so sorry about Midnite. He was a beautiful cat and that is such a cute picture you posted. I'm glad you have such a caring vet that does something like that. My animals vet sends a card afterwards, as soon as I see that envelope in the mailbox, I would start crying.

Nothing much going on today, just sitting here at work. I think I'm going to bake a chicken casserole tonight for dinner. Last night I splurged and bought myself Chipotle for my birthday dinner so I guess I should cook tonight.

Have a great day! :daisy:

Many many good thoughts and prayers for Bingo, whatever the results, you will do what is best for him, and he will know he is and always was loved--Lynn

Good morning all. We got to almost 80 degrees yesterday, and its still 62 outside, but high will only be 66. I did a little puttering around yesterday, putting stuff back that people had moved while I was gone..I want stuff where I want it,,lol. Got quite a few pkgs in the mail, from my shopping spree while in the hospital. 3 sets of sheets, 2 sets of King size pillowcases, some pjs, slippers, and robe, a blanket, and asst other 'stuff'. Our new Ninja Foodie came late yesterday afternoon,,waiting for Summer to get here to help open and unpack it..box is a little bigger, and heavier than I expected,,lol
We have decided that I am going shopping for a new queen size bed in the next few days, we have a full now and need a little more room. We will put the almost new set we have now in the spare room. So I am about to shop online for new mattress covers so we will have everything we need

Have a great day all

hmmm, well I'd say today I'm Sneezy!

Absolutely! My folks last dog was named Bingo, and we all remember him very fondly! Hope everything works out okay for him -

I am thinking of contacting someone in my congressional office

Don't hesitate to reach out to them - they have folks on staff to help with this exact thing (and many others). I've had to reach out to them myself before and it was amazing how quickly they were able to assist in getting the situation resolved.

We have decided that I am going shopping for a new queen size bed in the next few days, we have a full now and need a little more room. We will put the almost new set we have now in the spare room.

Glad you are home & getting settled back into day to day life! Pick me up a mattress, too!!! I really have been very lazy about doing some furniture shopping that I've been putting off and putting off...and we could also use a new mattress as well. I'm planning on redecorating the two unused bedrooms upstairs next year, one of them I'll put our old mattress in, the other one I'm considering maybe two twins? Anyway, since I haven't gotten busy with the needed furniture shopping I'll soon be out a dining room set (giving to eldest for his new place), and a few other pieces of furniture.

Hope everyone is having a good day/week. Thanks for the inquiries on our foster dog, she is doing wonderfully! Her new adoptive family has been selected and they are going thru the home visit/reference check portion of the process. I'm hoping she will be on her way by next weekend, but we will see.

Not sure what is for dinner, although I do have to run into town so I'm thinking I may pick up a piece of fish from the seafood counter.

Good morning Everyone.

I have decided cleaning is dangerous for one's health. First I spilled a gallon pf paint all over the entry floor. Cleaning that up I pulled a hamstring. I did buy a couple of rolling containers to put in the area to organize the area and found a wreath container that's big enough to hold my Christmas Wreath and my Easter and Fourth of July wreaths plus the outside lights. Trying to put those away I jammed the back of my hand into the light switches. I may be heading to Urgent Care later to make sure it's just bruised. I should never clean or try to get healthy.

QOTD: I think Grumpy fits me. Of course my mom says that all the time. I think Grumpy is just misunderstood. I personally think under that gruff exterior is a big old softie. The exterior is to protect against hurt. My husband always says I am a burnt marshmallow - crusty on the outside to protect the soft gooey center. Being Grumpy is a defense mechanism.

Well since my husband won't let up about getting my hand checked I am off to Urgent Care. Will update later.

:grouphug:🙏to all! extra to AuntieMe3 and Bingo, Snowysmom, Lynn, and Taz! Truly all of you dear Quackers!

QOTD Which of Snow White’s seven dwarfs describes you best (Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy or Sneezy)?

Thanks for asking the QOTD Carol :) I would say Happy or Bashful! I pray to maintain a positive and faithful outlook and lifestyle. In new situations especially I can be very shy and reserved.

Love to all of you and Happy Wednesday!
