This morning was a bit tiring

It's really tossed my husband for a loop, unless he's coming down with something???? He actually went home at lunch and took a nap! He does look better this afternoon though, with a bit more pep in his step. Hopefully I can talk him into chilling out and not doing much after work this evening.

🐣

We left for a nice walk yesterday when it was chilly but sunny, and right as we got to our destination we were hit with sudden overcast skies, blustery wind pooh: and snow squalls! Fortunately we had our winter coats, hoods and gloves in the car!

Wasn’t it supposed to almost be spring?? :eeyore:

We did make a nice corned beef and cabbage dinner when we came home, dried off, and warmed up!

Served with lots of spicey mustard and Irish Soda bread and butter!

Mom fail today... I set the clocks ahead on the stove and the cable box and phones automatically sprung ahead, but forgot to do my clock radio. i set the alarm last night , like always, and it went off at 6:45am. Hit snooze, yelled at the kids to get up and then at 7;03, my son is knocking on the bedroom door. Umm mom it’s 8:03, i missed my first period class.
Oh well !! Maybe now, they will start setting the nice alarm clocks they have in their rooms.

OMGosh....its sooo windy here today. We just had a huge gust that sounded that it was going to take the roof off.

Hubby had to take one of the dogs to the emergency vet this weekend after finding some blood drops around the house the last couple days. This dog is sooo obsessed with his ball, sometimes he will bite his tongue while chewing so we thought that's what it was from but then I noticed he had some drops on his back legs and noticed a small poodle when he got up from laying down. After the exam the doctor thinks he must've been leaking urine and then made himself raw from licking so the blood was coming from his raw skin. The Dr thinks he may have a bladder infection or a prostate problem...🤦‍♀️ He got a antibiotic shot there, some antibiotics for home plus a pain reliever with instructions to see our regular vet for a urinalysis and ultrasound to check his prostate. So now we have one with dog lupus and another with a possible prostate problem....geesh :sad2: Hopefully at his appt with our vet Thursday we find out it's just a bad bladder infection and the antibiotics have been working.

I've been feeling a little better lately, just really tired...whatever it is I am feeling I'm almost 100% sure it's just anxiety. I have an appt set up for me on the 29th with my Dr and then DH and I got appointments for our first dose of the vaccine. Mine is April 1st and hubby's is the 2nd. My dad also got one on the 1at but at a different time than me. He could've got it awhile ago but kept putting it off, now that my mom is home again, she nagged him until he finally made the appt. LOL He wants the shot but is just a terrible procrastinator. My mom has a Dr appt this week so he'll be asking her Dr if she should get the shot. We're surprised they didn't just give her one while she was still in the hospital, but we figured there probably was a reason that's why they are talking to her Dr before we try and get her an appt to. DD can get an appointment now because of our pre-existing conditions but she's not ready yet so she's waiting a little while.

I always want to reply to so many of your posts but then I get to far behind so I'm sorry if I'm not being interactive but I am reading all the posts. :grouphug:

I only laugh because the same thing happened to DD. Her alarm was set for 6:30....oops....its was 7:30 this morning and for some reason her back up alarm on her phone didn't go off. She usually leaves the house at the time she woke up, called her manager and got ready in record time. She made it at 8:05. She supposed to be there at 7:45 and they open at 8 so it wasn't a problem. Her manager said when she said she was running late she expected her to be there at like 9am. I was no help, I usually wake up at the same time as her and I was still knocked out at that time. :lmao:

Went to CFA for lunch. This is DH's and my idea of retirement fun.

He is out in the garage now. This weekend bought one of those big tool chests that stand about 4 feet tall with multiple drawers. It's like a kid with a new toy. He keeps coming in all telling me exciting new things about it.

@AuntieMe3, it is always stressful when a pet is sick or injured. I hope your dog has an easy solution.

whatever it is I am feeling I'm almost 100% sure it's just anxiety.
One of the reasons I switched doctors was that my former MD was not taking my symptoms of anxiety seriously. I told the new doctor and she started me on a low dose of Zoloft and I can't believe the difference it made. Even DH commented that I was in a better mood. I never wanted to take meds like this but glad that I did.

Afternoon All. I woke up to a balmy 26 degrees this morning then it got really warm when I got the boys after school - 37 degrees. Hard to believe it was in the 60's last week.

The kitchen is almost done. The plumbing goes in tomorrow and my grandson has a bit more of the tiles to put up but it looks amazing.

I had given up on getting my husband the vaccine. Our city is being very difficult and kept denying him. My daughter, aunt, sister in law and I were all trying to get it with no luck. Today my daughter got an email he could get the shot wednesday and then our health management called and said he can get it thursday. We opted for Thursday because it is 5 minutes away. I could have signed up also but I want the one shot deal IF I can get it at all. I have several allergies including one to Tetanus so I am hesitant and it did say that it isn't advisable right now in the paperwork they sent me to go over with him. I also have a deadly fear of needles so that doesn't help. I will wait and see what happens but at least he will get it.

Spring is coming and things are looking up. Have a great Monday everyone.

@AuntieMe3 I hope your puppy dog feels better soon. It is hard when our furbabies are under the weather. I hope it is something easy and simple.

The time change is still affecting us including Jasper. He got up out of his bed in our room and jumped up in his chair in the living room to nap. He napped all morning while we had to work.

It is really cold here today. The temp this morning was 16 degrees with a 2 degree wind chill. The wind howled all night. Now it is a balmy 23 with gusty winds occasionally. @Pea-n-Me We got the snow squalls yesterday too. It was really amazing to watch them move in and really take over. Then the sun was out an hour later. New England weather!

I am just heating up soup for supper along with some leftover chicken. I am too tired to do anything else.

Have a nice evening.

Good morning QUACK'ers. A bit chilly again this morning and only going into the 50's, but still better than 'winter' weather.

I am a little mystified this morning. Checked our bank account as I normally do every other day. I see 2 "stimulus deposits" but only $2 for me and $4 for hubby..what a joke that is,,why bother? We got full amounts on the first and second, no reason why this one should not be the same. We haven't filed our taxes yet (he was waiting for stimulus so they would base it on 2019 income), so it can't be that. And we don't anywhere near the higher income brackets, not even close!

Edited just now to add---when I checked the 'where's my money' link earlier,,it said not enough info, or don't qualify...just checked again now and it says both full amounts will be deposited on Wed the 17'th. No wonder I am confused. Maybe the small amount was a test to make sure they had the right accounts? But that didn't happen the last 2 times, so it really threw me. I am still not spending it till I see it in there, lol! If it is..new carpeting will be going down after painting!

Today I will start Spring cleaning the spare bedroom, if my headache goes away.
At the bottom is a new picture of Mateo,,what a cutie that little guy is!

Have a nice morning everyone!

Mateo looks like he fell asleep saying his prayers-how sweet and adorable.

On the small amounts in the account I wonder if that is not a test for seeing if the account is still open due to having heard incidental cases of people having closed accounts between the first and 2nd stimulus checks. If there was a high number of them at the financial institution you use and you have not filed your 2020 they might just automatically be doing a test amount to see if the account is still valid.
I have gotten nothing on mine looking at my bank account though since I use a smaller regional bank opposed to a large more national one-read ones like suntrust, wacovia, wells fargo-they don't do a pending amount. When I checked the irs site it said that we ger the full amount and it will be deposited on the 17th. I will see it sitting in my account after midnight on the 17th. Usually with DH's paychecks that are direct deposited I see it actually appear sometime between 1 and 5 am depending how fast the computer system updates all the accounts that day. (I often take the time to pay bills in that early morning time while waiting for DH to get home from work taking advantage of ones that have either come in since the last payday or that are due before the next payday. That way I don't have to make sure I am up early enough to get it done prior to the cut off time for that business day).

Good Afternoon and extra hug to all! I've enjoyed reading all the new shares. Prayers indeed for your pup, AuntieMe3. You please take care, too! A kind TMJ specialist years ago reminded me that with any type of doctor (or dentist) I was the person trusting (and paying for) the service and time being provided. I absolutely needed to feel comfortable, confident, and most of all that the doctor viewed me as a person rather than simply yet another patient. Passing along his words to dear all of you :)

Hi all!

I'm so bored, lol. I'm so tired of seeing this town, like, I've seen it ... I need something new.
With this lockdown in the UK not over yet (nr 3 since New Years Eve), and stores not opening until Mid-April.
I'm someone, I love to go someplace new, walk around, check out stores (usually the same everywhere, but still).
And our only transportation is a motorbike, and unlike my boyfriend, I can't always be on that thing during this time of year when it's very windy and cold.
I don't have any friends here, so makes it extra hard, and we live in 1 room, so everywhere I look, he's there, haha.

I'll be glad when April/May will come, so we can at least go for some rides on the bike again.
I love going to places where movies or series were filmed, hehe.

I can totally relate to this. We have a temp of 45 here this afternoon after the 60s last week I am just glad that we didn't get hit with the snow storm. They actually had snowplows going off the road near Casper, WY.
DH said when he called on his break last night that they actually canceled a number of their trucks that were supposed to go to Wyoming becasue of the roads.
Just checked the WY road report online and they are still saying that it is going to be 22-24 hours before the interstate as well as us highway roads will be open around the Casper Area.

The kitchen is almost done. The plumbing goes in tomorrow and my grandson has a bit more of the tiles to put up but it looks amazing.

How exciting for you to be getting a fully functioning kitchen back and so quick on the work getting done.

I can definently relate on the allergies including to tetanus. For more on that story read the long post I finally got posted early this morning. I figure that I will have to rely on the herd immunity and just pray that it doesn't come down to the vaccine being required for everyone even those who have had severe allergic reactions in the past. While I don't have the money to even consider doing something like taking a cruise that is something on my wish list of things I would like to be able to do some day and I am also hoping for the best that it does not come down to proof of a vaccine being required at least for the long term.

We have a winter weather advisory for overnite, for freezing rain/sleet?? It is sprinkling lightly, but the temp is supposed to drop near freezing. Glad that hubby's Drs appt for tomorrow is a virtual one so we don't have to go out in it. Have a nice evening everyone

Welp, tried snakehead for the first time this evening. Eldest caught some and brought up a bit of what he had cooked. Very mild - reminded us of rockfish. Will add that to the rotation.

I overcooked the tenderloin this evening, luckily not by to much so it was still edible :P an ended up making the baked potato into a hasselback potato at husbands request. He is still not feeling 100% but I think the worst is over, and he has agreed to sit in bed with the dogs and relax and chill out and let his body relax and rest this afternoon & evening. I hope that helps.

Dogs talked me into a fire this evening since it was so cool. We've all been enjoying it. It's been a week or more since we had a fire, and I think it's almost time to call it the end of the season for (indoor) fires, mostly since we are almost out of firewood!

Word on the street (from eldest) is that youngest will be home this weekend to go fishing so that means dinner to feed him up! I'll touch base with him to confirm the rumor and see what he is in the mood for. I'd better get to the butcher and get some scrapple!

Have a good evening all-
