Good afternoon everyone, hope the day is going well for you all.
This morning we had some delightful sleet. Yuck. Luckily it didn't last long and was over and done with by the time I left for work. I jokingly told my husband that since he had gone and gotten a big bag of salt and left it on the side porch, it would keep away the ice and snow and we'd have to lug it back to the barn later in the spring. Somehow I doubt we will get off that lucky!
So for Christmas my husband got one of those trail cameras that sends the photos of what is in front of your camera to you in real time (as opposed to going to get the camera card out of it and looking at it later) and he put it up in the woods that back up to the field behind the house. He keeps getting photos of one of barn cats - evidently the camera is overlooking some of his haunting/hunting grounds! So now it's become 24/7 watching of what this particular cat is up to, as well as the occasional other cats, cardinals and racoons. He's taken to calling it the 'name of our town black panther', and is constantly updating me on what the cat is doing. Oh the excitement of January....
So I had a weird episode, well maybe that isn't the right word for it, but whatever it was, I got home and I was cold. Cold. Cold. And couldn't warm up. By the time I went to bed I had the heating pad under my back a heavy velour blanket and the comforter. Then I asked my husband to put the electric blanket on me. I figured I'd warm up and wake up sweating to death, but I never did. Slept that way (got rid of the heating pad before falling asleep) all night. I've been chilly all day and am starting to feel a bit off, mostly headachy. I've been taking my temp and it's fine, I feel fine, I just feel off. And cold still. Oddly enough, I slept thru the night last night, and I slept soundly and good once I got to sleep, which NEVER is my normal routine, I'm usually up once if not twice during the night on good nights. I honestly can't recall the last time I slept thru the night. I better not be getting this crap, or any other for that matter

and now I'm obsessing over and second guessing every sniffle, twinge and imagined issue. This Covid has me paranoid at times.
Dinner this evening will be a frenched rack of lamb from the deep freeze served with??? I have no idea. I'll figure it out later.
Heads up to my fellow Marylanders, Governor is holding another press conference at 5 today to outline vaccine distribution as I understand it.
That is good news, thanks for taking the time to update us. I'm sure these next days and weeks will be bringing their own challenges, but I'm so very happy for you and him that yesterday went as hoped.
Today the septic repair guy came with a backhoe. And the county health department guy came to do the perc test . Now we wait for the permit then the backhoe comes back to dig a new drainage field.
good luck!
One pair of fuzzy socks washed well this morning.
Oh, good! Enjoy your socks.
