Good morning.

I have been reading but sometimes just don't feel like typing a response or have nothing new to report.

Yesterday we took Paisley and went on a hike new to us. It was at the Susquehanna State Park next to the river. We have been to other parts of it and is where we see the eagles. My friend at dinner Sunday, told us about the fields of Blue Bells there so we went. Only walked about 1.5 miles but it was beautiful. And I got to try out my new binoculars looking at the osprey and cormorants.

The fields of flowers were more Impressive in person.

Dinner was ham slice, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, and English muffins.

This afternoon we are going to Longwood Gardens to see the tulip display.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope the dentist goes well today.

I'd like to go to lavender fields this year. DD bought white dresses last year to take the girls for pictures but didn't make it. The bluebells are beautiful! Years ago I planted several hundred tulips and the squirrels had a feast, digging up the bulbs. Some came up and eventually none came up. Imagine my surprise when I saw 3 plants arise this year! The flowers have already died off so I will dig and replant to see if I can get some more blooms next year.

I've got a lot of work to do in my front yard, but I spent the morning putting cement in the hole for my mailbox. Yesterday I reattached a 2 x 4 to the base so I could replant it in a new hole. The old 2 x 4 had rotted out after many years and I didn't want to deal with digging up the old cement so I moved a foot or so away. The mailbox is sturdy and large and my mail person says don't get rid of it - he likes it and finds it easy to open and shove the mail into. I've been procrastinating on getting this done and had just staked up the mailbox when I realized it had a rotten base, so it's nice to have it fixed.

I also bought a pair of binoculars for bird spotting. First I bought a very inexpensive scope from REI, but it wasn't all that, and I found it cumbersome to use, unless I just left it set up, and that doesn't work here.

I got a pair of Athlon Argos a couple of years ago and I find them perfect for my ability. Before that I would zoom in with my cell phone camera and then zoom the pic itself to try to identify any bird I couldn't see clearly. Mostly I got something blurry but sometimes I could figure out what I was looking at.

With the Athlon Argos, I can see quite well whatever catches my interest. I'm trying not to get too interested in the high dollar pairs, as I'm sure I would love them.

:thanks:all so much for your extra🙏 and always kind care! I am very grateful to God that the dentist did indeed have the ultrasonic this morning and that my teeth are overall cleaner. I appreciated his willingness to work with me and that he really did try. I will see him again at the end of June and go from there. I may reach out to the dentist of a friend of mine who practices close to me in the meantime just to have a feel for him and a possible backup if need be. Big relief and so grateful, of course, to be long home now, too.

Hugs and much continued prayer, dear Kirby. I’m so glad you did enjoy the chocolate and still have some. I truly so pray all of you are feeling better today! Please take care of yourselves and always know we all care and are here.

Welcome, Melanie C! I hope you’ll join us again :) Wow, that’s wonderful that you’ve gotten to grow up in and explore so many places. One of my dad’s favorite music pieces is the Blue Danube of Waltz which is what I always think of with the Danube river.

Sending some sun your way, Lynn! It’s cool here for me but supposed to be much warmer over the weekend, as well. I am definitely thankful to be more into Spring. Thinking of you, my friend, and truly prayers all is safely quiet on your neighbor front!

Hug, Footballmouse and thank you for your donations to pets. How is your grand dog doing? I hope it will warm up for you as well.

I hope you do get to go on your out of country adventure, Easyas!

Waving hi to you, Bobbiwoz and hope your day is peaceful!

I was thinking of you yesterday, Carol, good to see you today. Aw, Paisley is so cute. What kind of dog is she again? I remember blue bonnets from trips to Houston and how pretty they were. I’m not sure about blue bells. The jacaranda trees are beginning to turn purple here!

Big hug, dear Pea. I’m sorry

Lavender fields sound so lovely, Judique, and tranquil. Grandma loved lilacs and would have enjoyed checking out such a field. I hope you do get to go this year. And you and so many Quackers sure have very green thumbs. I enjoy hearing about all of your yards and gardens, seeing pictures, of course, too. Thank you for helping bring new life to blooms and trees.

Wishing all of you a good afternoon! Pollyanna, don't think i saw a post yet from you today. Prayers all is well out by you, my friend.

Hello fellow Quackers. It has been awhile since I've posted, but I have been reading along.
I am walking through a very dark and difficult time and just don't have much to contribute at this point. This will be a long journey and one that I wasn't prepared for on any level. I've spent most of the last few weeks wondering what the heck has happened to my life and trying to keep my head above water...so to speak. I won't be around much to type for awhile, but did want to pop in and say "hi" and that I do enjoy reading everyone's updates, even if I'm not posting at the moment.

I’m sorry to hear that, frog, but glad you let us know. Keeping you in our prayers. :grouphug:

We did get to Longwood Gardens. I was surprised how crowded it was. Tulips were beautiful. This is just one picture I took.

After we went to dinner at Two Stones Pub. Very good and nice not to cook.

What kind of dog is she again?
Paisley is a goldendoodle. Glad your dental appt went well.

I am walking through a very dark and difficult time
@frog3101 , glad to see you stop in but sorry to here life is not going well. Like Lynn said, we are here if you ever need a shoulder.

I'm feeling much better today. Just have a scratchy throat from the acid reflux. And a cough. My GERD causes it as does a medicine that I take so I can't win for losing.

Mona, glad your dental appointment went well. I was supposed to have my teeth cleaned this morning but I canceled my appointment yesterday just in case I still wasn't feeling up to par today.

Frog, praying you will work through this time of darkness and it will end.

Carol, love the tulips. DD and I have tickets to the Dallas Arboretum for the 30th. I usually go in March when the tulips are in bloom here so am looking forward to seeing what's out now.

Went to Kroger for groceries today. No empty shelves but the price of groceries, yikes!

Dinner tonight was Hobo Burgers, steamed broccoli and Caesar salad.

Those are beautiful flowers, Carol!

Huge hug Frog and much prayer. Thank you truly for letting us support you. Please know you are not alone and that we truly do care.

Good to see you PollyannaMom :)

Thank you all again so much for your kind dentist support!

I just read the sweetest email from the 99 Cent only store! Someone from marketing emailed me personally to say they would love to make Sue a birthday basket! Not only that it will be delivered to her and they asked me to choose a few gifts so it can be customized. WOW. What a kind blessing. I am truly touched and so grateful to God that He touched their hearts to do this for me and Sue. Off to call Sue now.

Sweet dreams my friends and much love always.

Glad you had a good dentist appt @flyingdumbo127 ! It was nice of the dentist to get that machine so he’d have it for your appt. That would score MAJOR brownie points with me! Nice of the store to contact you, too! :goodvibes

Love the flower and dog pictures. A little down today. Quiet day. Helped a friend w some medical issues a parent is having. DH and I went out to get a bite to eat for dinner. Chatty waitress around my age took my mind off of things. 😅 (DH teased me afterward, lol.) Got a good deal on a new treadmill, went to pick it up. Mine got wet in the cellar, plus it’s 30+ yrs old and weighs a ton. This seems lighter, and has a spot for an iPad so I can watch a movie or put my headphones and music on. Will get that set up in the afternoon, going to keep it upstairs. Something nice I can do for myself. (Practicing what I preach!) It would’ve been nice to have in the winter, but this deal was too good to pass up for now. 🐥

@flyingdumbo127 Glad your dentist appt went well

@frog3101 Thoughts and prayers for you

@Pea-n-Me The right dog is out there waiting for you. I know it is hard waiting and getting close.

I have been dealing with a bad cold right now. Everyone here had it and now it is my turn. I cough and sniffle all the time. I haven't been sleeping well. It seems a bit better this morning.

Off to work and make coffee.

Have a nice day.

Happy Friday! :dogdance:

Got some laundry done last night :laundy:. Today I'll get the house cleaned and wash the sheets. I work this weekend so I won't have time to do it then. It's supposed to get close to the 80's this weekend. So crazy, we had snow on Monday and 5 days later it will be 80 outside :sunny:. Since I'm working 3rd shift this weekend, hopefully I can take advantage of the nice weather for a little bit on Sunday.

Actually made dinner last night. I'll take some to work tonight for dinner and I'm going to run some up to my aunt today.

I kept forgetting to get bird seed at the store so I just ordered some through Chewy and had it shipped with the cat litter, finally got it yesterday. I'll fill the bird feeder up out back, I'm sure the birds were wondering what the heck happened.

I've been seeing the mess down in Florida about dissolving Reedy Creek ::MickeyMo. Florida's governor must be really pissed at Disney to do this and put the tax burden on to the property owners now. I wouldn't want my property taxes to go up that much over something like this.

I need to clean the sheets that the dogs lay on that are kept on the couch and bed but they're still sleeping and I don't want to wake them up so I guess that will wait a little longer this morning :dog:.

Well I need to fit in some work today so I guess I need to get busy. Have a great weekend and hopefully you have some sunshine! :sunny:

She's cute!
Another disappointment- dog we applied for has a pending adoption. 😭
:sad1:
I appreciated his willingness to work with me and that he really did try.
Wow, yeah that sounds like a great dentist who is willing to go above & beyond.
Hello fellow Quackers. It has been awhile since I've posted
Nice to hear from you, I'm sorry you've had a rough go of it lately.
Two Stones Pub
How was it? Never been -
Dinner tonight was Hobo Burgers, steamed broccoli and Caesar salad.
Had to look up Hobo Burgers, that's a new on for me! We do something similar with fish.
Someone from marketing emailed me personally to say they would love to make Sue a birthday basket!
Cool, glad that worked out for you. You worked on them for a while, it's nice to see they responded!
I have been dealing with a bad cold right now. Everyone here had it and now it is my turn.
Don't you love it when you see it going around and know it's only a matter of time until you get it? I hope you get thru it quickly and without much problem.

Good morning to you all. It has been a long week, not for any particular reason, rather it just seemed (to me at least) that this week drug on & on. Hopefully the rest of today doesn't go as slowly!
No great or exciting plans this weekend. I am hoping to get as much of my chore list tackled Saturday as possible so I can enjoy what is promising to be a great weather day on Sunday. I need to shoe horn a grocery shopping trip & stop at the beer store in there somewhere as well...maybe I can do that this afternoon/evening or first thing tomorrow morning.

Good morning. I just realized that it was after 9 and I never put my morning check in up. I got started doing stuff around here, and it slipped my mind.

Bright sunshine outside, going to be beautiful, and warm the next several days. It was kind of nice to look at the lawn and see that it hasn't grown tall enough yet to mow. The other day when we were doing errands, we drove by Tractor Supply, and there I see 2 of the Cub Cadet riding mowers that I am looking for sitting outside. I would get it there, but they don't deliver, and they don't service what they sell. And I would rather give my business to the Outdoor Power place closer to me. I am going to wait just a little longer, and if they don't get them, I will find someone with a truck, and get the one at Tractor Supply. It's the exact same price, but they also don't have the mulch kit or the snow plow thing that you can put on the front for winter.

I was thinking of burning the brush pile today..have to wait and see if it's windy after 4. Burning permits required (I have one) , but you can't burn till after 4 pm. So we will see. Thinking of getting Chinese for dinner..haven't gotten it since November!

Have a good day all--@Snowysmom--feel better!

Good morning, all -

Bright and sunny here, and much warmer than when I first got up!

I've already been to the grocery store, so it's good to have that out of the way. I need to get the pump running to get the last bout of rain off the pool cover, but I'm "walking" the cat right now.

 @frog3101 - Thanks for checking in, and I hope things improve soon.

Healing vibes to everyone dealing with stuffiness and coughs. My allergies haven't been bad so far, but all of a sudden there are tiny white petals floating all over, so we shall see...

We have new neighbors a couple of houses over, and they have the cutest little white dog - soooo fluffy and very friendly. I met them yesterday, and they seem really nice.

🌎 Happy Earth Day, everyone!!

How do you do your fish? Always looking for a new way to cook it.

Have you looked into John Deere? My DH has a zero radius and loves it. He also has a John Deere backhoe. When DH bought it the only one available in the model he wanted was in Arizona. They shipped it to him free of charge. Sometimes this time of year they have special deals going.
