Goodnight bump!
One step at a time, Sweetpeama. Cheering you on from afar
One step at a time, Sweetpeama. Cheering you on from afar

Goal is to start out with 2-3 minutes a day and then work up to 5 by the middle of the month with hopefully 10 minutes by the end of the month.
I had a non eventful day. I folded ALOT of laundry. I seem to have no issues getting it washed and dried, but for some reason getting all of it put away is a struggle for me.
Please send as many prayers as you can spare.
Aww. Glad the posts here brought you comfort. ❤ My guess is that his BP was too low for the cardiac meds, which can make it lower. When things settle out, they’ll give them again. The other vitamins and such, though, he needs to get better, to help his body function right, etc. I’m glad your sister in law is there for you.Thank you all so much. Your messages of support brought tears to my eyes. I just got home..they admitted him..the cellulitis tested as borderline sepsis. They are pumping him full of fluids and antibiotics, and admitted him for 'a couple of days'. depending on his how body responds. They finally got him into a nice private room on the fifth floor which is high level care, but not as high as ICU. They aren't giving him any of his bp or fluid meds till they get his vitals more under control,,they were all over the place this morning. I understand that. But they made sure to give him the multivitamin, Vit B,C, and D? What difference are those going to make at this point, even the nurse laughed at that one! What I don't get is why they aren't giving him his heart meds. The nurse said to me about the hospitalist "he didn't even order them" which left me more confused as the hospitalist (sorry but I have run into some of them before, and I have a hard time believing they are even real Drs)..anyhow..the hospitalist we saw in the ER was a she..not a he! I have a call into his cardiologist office right now (they are in the same hospital ) with some questions. I also want someone from that office to go and make a visit to that floor today or tomorrow and check on him and his heart.
My sister in law is VERY supportive..anything I need, anywhere I need to go,,she is there. She stayed in the parking lot of the ER for 3 hours before going home to get her daughter,,and came back at 1:30 when I told her he had fallen asleep and I was ready to come home and get some sleep myself.
They brought him lunch, and since he hadn't had more than 2 bites of food all day yesterday, I figured he wouldn't touch it. He ate about 1/4 of the veggie lasagna..some of the green beans, half of the cantaloupe and drank the milk! He is worn out and worried, as am I, and once again, I thank you all for your posts above sending me prayers and love. I have come to love each and every one of you over the last year and 4 months..I think of you all as friends and I cherish that so much!

Yes, things like diuretics make the inside of the blood vessels dry over time, so BP can become quite low, especially when not eating or drinking regularly. And some of the cardiac meds that regulate rhythm and/or slow the heartbeat down to promote filling and such, can also lower the BP. It’t not unusual in this situation, and likely once he gets some fluid back in his veins, it should start coming back up again.I didn't think the heart meds lowered his BP, just that they were regulating his heart, and increasing his circulation , which we could plainly see since he started the 2 new ones, as his swollen legs and ankles disappeared and he had chicken legs again. Thank you for that info..that saves me 1 question when they call me.
@lynxstch So glad they admitted him and he will get the care he needs to get well. I have learned we need to be the best advocates we can be for our family members. It helps to write questions down as you think of them. Try and get some rest as I know the stress of dealing with these situations takes a toll and EAT. When my husband was in the hospital there were days I would forget to eat until my daughter reminded me. Take care of yourself too.
