It's such a racket, though...$50 for a sheet of 4 3"x5"s, a team photo, and the digital image
It is - you are so right! BUT I'm the mom who didn't buy yearly school photos either, so maybe I'm not the best example!! Do you have to purchase the photos? I'm trying to think WAY back to when our kids were little and I don't think it was in anyway a mandatory thing. They make parents feel like they
have to or it's such a precious memory that you'll
need to have it, when in reality you'll have a tub full of photos and plenty of memories of the same kid playing the same sport anyway!
He's in a boot for 6-8 weeks and is just miserable
That stinks, I hope it doesn't put to much of a damper on his summertime (besides missing baseball) fun and he gets it off soon.

I have a haircut appointment next Monday afternoon and I'm really contemplating whacking it off, or a majority of it at least. I keep going back & forth. I'll make my final decision when I'm sitting in the chair haha!
Still doing the "will it rain or won't it" for the 4th day this week
I'm in my office listening to the thunder off in the distance. No rain yet, but I have high hopes. We need it. I told my husband last night we need one of those slow, soaking 12-24 hour light rains.
Have a nice afternoon all
You as well!

UGH! Well, that chore is over and boy am I glad it is! Long story short, Ladd didn't bite anyone, but did have a bit of a meltdown wherein the vet read the writing on the wall and promptly sedated him...after 5 minutes of wrestling and a bent needle he was down for the count! The vet - well she was wonderful with him, and so understanding of the situation, I couldn't have been more pleased (and relieved) by the outcome. He did wake a bit from his sedation and have a go at the vet when she tried to clip his nails, but she stopped and he went back down. Even stayed still for the bloodwork. He had a lot of tests done and a few routine vaccines he was due for. Bloodwork and test came back good, and he's healthy and good to go. And we got him weighed & they sent us home with a sedation protocol for either his next appt. or in case of emergency and we have to bring him in.
Next up - we need to take the Big Guy in who has a different set of issues, mostly being very timid and afraid.
And...there's the rain! Coming down hard all the sudden. I just heard my nephew cuss and run out of the shop, so I suspect he had his windows down
Dinner this evening was supposed to be meatball subs, but we ended up just having the meatballs for lunch so instead I'm marinating chicken thighs in a jar of dill pickles and will grill them. First time using it as a marinade, although I have made crockpot roasts with just tossing in a jar of dill pickles. I got the idea from reading one of the copy cat recipes about Chick Fil A chicken and how that is what they marinate in. Figured it was worth a try. We will see how it turns out.
