Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Apparently my presence is in high demand for the weekend of the 19th lol. My cousin wants to go to Pennhurst, an old work buddy wants to go out for drinks because her birthday is today and she can't find a day to go yet, and another friend (who has the hots for my best friend) wants to set something up for her birthday, which is the week after. Like does everyone HAVE to do something on Saturday? Why not include Friday? lol.

Very cool here this morning. It is now 61. I had my root canal part 1. It was supposed to be done today but there is a low grade infection just beginning and the roots are calcified so he had been tugging and tugging at the tooth for a while. He put in some antibiotic medicine to kill any bacteria and next week we meet again. The procedure itself is not bad but the going back again and the tugging at the roots is not so nice. Next week was my week off from going into the office but now I will be going into the office early and then to the appt 2 towns over. I guess I have to try to be positive about it and say that breaking the crown on the tooth next to this tooth brought this issue to our attention. If not, I could have had a bad infection. I met the new person in our group today and interestingly enough she is a big Disney fan They visit at least once a year and have taken Disney cruises. We chatted for a bit about Disney. I pick Kenn's kids up at the bus today and try to get Owen in his shinguards and socks for soccer practice so Kenny can just pick him up and go. I just have to wrestle the computer out of Owen's hands!

Have a good rest of the day.

Thoughts and prayers for those in the path of the hurricane. I hope everyone is safe.

Good morning. It is 43 right now with temps going into the upper 50s. My heat came on during the night. The side where I am having the root canal done is a bit sore but not surprised with all the tugging and pulling that was done. My sinus is also bothering me with all the work that was done. I took Advil yesterday but don't take it alot as it can make me feel nauseous even when taking with food. I am taking tylenol today. I picked up the kids yesterday and Owen did leave his computer long enough for me to help him with his shin guards and socks. The Disney emails are coming in now for my trip in December. I am planning out the days and look forward to seeing the Christmas decorations. I plan to go to Disney Springs this time to see the Christmas trees.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good chilly morning. Got down to 40 last night and we had a frost warning, but luckily no frost as my flowers are still outside. We're going to be 64 today. Next week they're calling for Mon-Wed to only be in the 50's. Guess it's time to think about closing up the AC for the winter.

Got errands and grocery shopping done yesterday morning, then did the yard work in the afternoon. Taking today off from chores, lol

Still waiting for Summer to tell me how Lily made out with the CAT scan. I have no idea how long it will take to get the results of it.

Have a good day

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

And I'm happy to report I have heard good things so far from my family in Florida.
That's great. I heard from my friend too. They evacuated to Fort Pierce and said there were tornado's all around them ,, but they're safe. There's no water or power at her house, so they're staying put for now.

Lily's CAT scan was perfectly normal. She doesn't have a tumor on her adrenal gland,. Her doctor just called and diagnosed her with PCOS, but said there's nothing they can do but refer her to a dietician. What does a dietician have to do with anything? The doctor said they don't give meds to regulate hormones, which doesn't sound right to either Summer or me. :(

I know I've read that term here on the DIS, so do a search and you may find posters with good advice.

Lynn I have a friend who had PCOS. She went to a specialist to help but of course that was many years ago . Maybe look for a GYN who specializes in PCOS.

Good morning. The weather is getting cooler. When the sun starts to set the chill just comes right in. Yesterday I walked at the lake and then saw the grief counselor. She is really good and I feel like I am talking with a friend. It is the last grief group for our town as I was the only one going. She said sometimes she would have no one show up so not a lot of interest in this area. She has other groups but some are too far away and the others meet while I work. She has offered to continue to talk with me via zoom as part of her job with the public health office of the area. It is very kind of her to do so and I appreciate it. She has given me alot of insight into things. Today I am going to walk at the park in Kenny's town and then pick up supper on the way back to the condo. I hope to see Jeff and the kids as well as Kenny this weekend. Kenny may come by to help me assemble my counter stools and put in a shower filter. Plus I get to chat with him for awhile. He usually brings Clifford.

Have a good day.

Big hug dear Snowysmom, I am so thankful God placed the counselor into your life and of course sweet Clifford:dogdance:too.

Dad, I am grateful more than I can say to God, is doing better from a health issue and got more rest yesterday. I would appreciate extra prayers for him. Thank you all so deeply for you and your care, prayers, of course, for me as well. It's been more of a challenge for me to still be rather limited in how I am able to help my dear dad. I want so much to be back to normal. How truly graced I am to be getting there by God's grace and love.

Happy Friday to all:grouphug:

The one I had in early September resulted in emailed results the next day to both myself and my doctor.
