Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good cloudy morning. Going to be cloudy most of the day, temps only low 70's. Feels nice. We must have had rain overnight because the deck was wet when I got up.

Checked the garden, fed the cats and birds, and that's all that needed to be done outside.

Last night I was watching a movie, and all of a sudden all these birds in the side yard were squawking and flying around. I go out, and under a chair on the deck sits Tiger, the littlest of the outdoor cats, and she's got a baby blue jay in her mouth. This is the second one she's caught. The other blue jays were squawking and trying to dive bomb her. I finally got the bird away from her and put it on a board using a broom, and took it to the back corner, with the big birds following me. One of them picked it up and took it away. But then they came back and flew around in the side yard making noise for a long time. I'm afraid they're going to attack Tiger one of these times.

Off to find something to do

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Lynn That little cat is going to get dive bombed by those blue jays sometime. Blue jays can be vicious. I hope kitty stays away from the birds.

Good morning. It is 56 with temps heading into the low 70s today. Yesterday Luke's game got rained out. We went to the Museum of Science instead. I was glad to be an extra set of eyes for Jeff. Sam was a handful so I could watch the other 3. I did get one walk in and of course walking around the museum was nice. I have salt therapy today. I am looking forward to it.

Have a good day.

Good morning! Podiatrist today, and my feet sure do need the care! It’s also June 10th, and Tom and I met 58 years ago today. We will celebrate by having pizza on the Boardwalk, but in Wildwood, not Seaside. Don’t want to travel that far today.

Phillies did 1-1 in London, we did watch the games on TV this past weekend.

Enjoy the day!

God Bless you and Tom dear Bobbi! Podiatrist and all around happy day prayers.

Hug dear Snowysmom. Dad used to take me to the Science and Industry Museum snd IMAX often growing up. I hope your grandkids had fun yesterday and of course that so did you.

Happy Monday hug and new week blessings to all with love.

I was watching a Bluejay couple in my back yard yesterday. They are very loud but very skittish. I was inside my gazebo and just looking towards the feeder would spook them. Still, sorry for their offspring. That said, cats try to catch birds. Tiger is obviously better at it than a neighbor cat who tried all winter to catch one at my feeder. In winter I move the feeder a few feet closer to my window so I can see it better. The cat would hide behind a stone bench and then try to rush out. Never saw him be successful. Of course in winter it's mostly more mature birds. There are a lot of babies out right now and I watch them try to perch and keep their balance while their wings flutter.

I imagine it's built into Nature's scheme that a certain amount will survive.

This morning I assembled another section of my 'deer' wall. It seems to be working as I haven't seen any missing daylilies this week.

I also have roses to plant but a dr appt at 11:30. Take care all.

@Judique, glad the deer wall is working!!

We are back from riding bikes to/back from the Coast Guard station. My bike is kept chained to the fence by the pond, so I get a different view of the pond then when I feed the fish. I noticed two water lily buds today!! I am thrilled!! Thats my discovery for today! No hummingbird sightings yet here.

Happy Monday.

Just a quick hello, busy at work.

Worked night shift this past weekend so didn't do much at home. I was able to go out Sunday afternoon and get all the wild animals fed, the yard cleaned up and the weeks pulled. Fell asleep on the couch and missed the entire Reds game.

I found a home for one of the kittens (Daisy), my neighbor took her yesterday. Still looking for Tiana's new home and if I could find someone to take Remy that would be a plus. Jacob hasn't caught the 3rd kitten yet.

Friday with my sisters was fun. We started out hittinbg the yard sales in my sister's nighborhood. I actually found some good things: a big ceramic Santa bowl (that will be used for Monkey food on Xmas Eve); a shepard's hook for one of my hanging baskets; a Mickey Mouse bobblehead for my desk at work; a Little Tykes grocery cart to keep at my house for Mia; a kids tool set for Mia for her house; one of my sisters bought some bags of toy cars and trucks for her grandson and gave me the girl cars; and a decorative chalk board. I was going to give that to Bailey for when Mia starts school but that's going to be a while so I'm going to keep it and do something with it. I think I spent a total of $20. We spent the rest of the day laying out by the pool.

I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow for a coworker. I also have a meeting in the morning so I might not have time to check in. After the baby shower, I have my final appointment for the hair study.

Have a great day!

Dr appt went well. She looked at my face and asked what I was concerned about. I wasn't particularly concerned about anything, but my PCP wanted them to look at some slight discolorations on my cheek. I already knew it was Rosacea as I had been diagnosed in 2021, but had drifted away from the earlier Dermatologist, so went with his recommendation 'just in case'. She prescribed me another cream to use, and I was out so this worked out well. She also took a look at a small spot I was feeling on one side. That was nothing to worry about either.

So out of there and on to buying stuff. I needed an umbrella base so picked one up. It's still in the car and handyman can get it out and use the hand truck to get it to the patio.

@Judique Glad it turned out to be nothing more than you thought it was. Don't they make umbrella bases heavy now? I bought one and almost dropped the box on my foot it was so heavy. I try to leave it in one spot on the deck because it's heavy to move around, lol

Finished mowing the lawn and watered the garden. Now it's clouding over and the winds have picked up, but still no rain in sight according to doppler radar.

Have a nice evening everyone.

Yes, too heavy! It's made of concrete. DIL had one that you fill with water but when I had that style it eventually leaked and deteriorated with the sun, so I went with the concrete.

I've been told to always wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun. I can't stay inside all the time so I'll go from one shady spot to another.

Dead, I'm sorry you have also been getting those messages. They seem to pop up for me at least once if not more a day. Definitely tired of them. Grateful this usually is not the norm.

Extra hug and sweet dreams good night to all.
