Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Wishing everyone sweet dreams with all my love, of course, always! You know that.

I did take a second low dose of ibuprofen. Tomorrow I will elevate and try a warm washcloth in the morning. God willing that helps! Dad did say thank God, he thinks I'm walking a little better today. Grateful of course for that and to be able to walk period! Grateful also always for each of dear you! :grouphug:

Good morning ☀️
It looks like a beautiful day to fly. We are headed to WDW today and tomorrow our Houston family and some friends of theirs join us and my DSis at Beach Club Villas. Our two DGSs 11, and 10 want to experience the Harry Potter things so they are branching out. We are beginning The trip with Epcot’s fireworks cruise tomorrow night, so, starting with a bang!

Wishing everyone a good Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day!🐪

The weather has been so nice around here lately. Starting to creep back up to the mid-80's, still keeping my windows opened.:sunny:

Went to Evan's house last night to visit little miss Mia. She was excited when I walked in 🥰. I had so much stuff for them, I got tired of it being in my house or car. A friend gave me a jogger stroller that she only used a couple of times so I gave that to them since they only have a stroller that you use the carrier with. I won that pool on the auction site so I had that to take down. Another friend gave me a bag of baby food, and of course I had a new outfit and a Halloween book for her. She really like the book. Each page had a different costume and the face of the baby was a mirror, and she loves looking at herself in a mirror.☺️

Stopped at Meijer to grab Chili some cat food. Finally remembered to get a very small lightbulb for my pumpkin that I put on my porch.🎃

I was supposed to get my haircut yesterday after work but she had to push me to tomorrow. I always look forward to my hair appointment.✂️

Well the boss just walked in 🤨, better find something to do. Have a great day!

Mona, DD’s presentation went really well, thanks for asking! She’d practiced over zoom with me twice before the actual event (she went into a different room in the house, lol; first time it was DS and I listening, second time just me - I think I was driving her crazy, “Slow down!”, “Stop with the umms”, “Pronounce all your letters”, lol). But she got better each time and her professor said she did a great job. She has just one more discussion reply (once someone posts) and she’s done completely!

It was kind of funny the other night we went out after her presentation to celebrate the end of the project and her favorite place was unexpectedly closed 😱 so we went somewhere else. And turns out our waiter was pretty cute, and talking to DD about her project, which I happened to mention we were celebrating. When we were leaving he said, “Hope to see you again soon”, so outside, DD was like, “We’ll have to go back there again!” :lmao: I always joke around with her when unexpected things happen and say “Hey, maybe you’ll meet the love of your life”. So that was cute.

Mona, I also wanted to say (and I’m sure you know this but saying anyway) warmth vasodilates blood vessels and cold constricts them. So ice should help more with the swelling. But I’m one of those people who likes the feel of warmth on an injury so whatever works. But I just wanted to put that out there. And be careful about overdoing it on your foot if it’s feeling better from the ibuprofen, you still want to help the swelling go down. But I’m glad to hear that’s helping! Keep up with the ibuprofen, with food.

@bobbiwoz Wishing you a wonderful trip!

Thanking of Summer.

Hoping that PollyannaMom’s son is feeling better now.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone here!

Dogs are good. Had Toto at the vet’s yesterday for routine shot and the girls at the desk were so happy to see him! He is a cute little bugger and gets all wiggly even though he’s nervous to be there. Sent some pics and video to the lady who rescued Grady originally from the shelter he found himself in. She was thrilled to see him so happy.

Starting a work stretch. I hope everyone has a good rest of the week! 🐥

Many congratulations to your DD, Pea! Proud of her! :cheer2:

Thank you my friend always did try the warm washcloth this morning. Trouble is a warm towel doesn't stay warm very long so that didn't work at all! I will have to try the cold. Right now, my poor feet hurt because I stood outside for a good 10 minutes talking with a close friend. Wonderful to see her, of course, very grateful. My feet just aren't cooperating! I did take a low dose of ibuprofen earlier and will do again later. I also don't want to be taking this more than a couple more days. I'm hoping still more natural care helps! It has to🙏 Aw God Bless dear Toto:dogdance:💕Grady, of course, too!

Dad's appointment, thank God, went well this morning. We're very thankful. He also got our Voltaren money back in full from Target and a full refund from CVS on their brand of a foot cream we had tried before the Voltaren. Grateful definitely for that extra money back!

Have a relaxing rest of the day friends:grouphug:

Slipping thread save for the night with love, of course, always! Dad just learned courtesy of super kind Dr. A's office that my dentist, Dr. E has yet to reach out to Dr. A. Not happy about that but glad to know. I will be calling Dr. E's office in the morning! Enough already. We need to move forward in some way! Thank you all, of course, for both your extra foot and dental prayers!

Otherwise, all quiet here. sweet Dreams dear friends:grouphug:

Good morning.:sunny:

Getting back into the mid-high 80's. I had plans to walk after work and do a workout at home but when I got home I really didn't want to do anything, I was so tired. Sat down and hoped I would be able to take a short nap but no luck.

Finally have my hair appointment tonight. Need to stop and get gas also. Mitchell borrowed my car for a couple of days and "forgot" to put gas in it when he was finished. I just filled it up on Saturday and now I have to again tonight. Not happy about that and he won't be borrowing it again.

I have to snap out of whatever I'm in these last couple of weeks. I haven't cooked in who knows when; try to eat healthy during the day and then for dinner I have M&M's; walked during the week the last couple of weeks, this week nothing; and I keep spending money like I won the lottery. I'm in a funk!

Back to work, have a great day!

Good chilly morning. Going to low 80's today, a little bit more summer weather before Fall begins on Saturday.
Didn't get to the market yesterday so going to do it early this morning. I took the hoses and sprinklers out of the garden. Not enough left to bother wasting any more water on. Definitely coming to the end quickly

@PollyannaMom I think it's the change in the weather causing the funk. I'm feeling just like you. I have no urge to make dinner, just want to eat chocolate. Spending too much money also. It will pass!

Summer texted last night that her foot surgery will be on Nov 11. They said they will probably have to fuse the 2 bones together, maybe more once they remove the cysts. She was hoping she would only be non load bearing for a couple of weeks, he's telling her it will be much longer than that. She won't be able to put any weight on it, and she won't be able to drive. Good thing that 3 of the kids all have their licenses and their own cars. They can chauffeur her for a change. She won't be able to use crutches, so they told her they would make sure she has everything she needs to get around.

Have to get ready to go, have a great day everyone.

I'm not actually the one who posted that, but I do agree that I have an urge to carbo-load and shop in the fall.

Sorry about Summer's foot, and cute pic today!

Good Morning🐥

:grouphug:Footballmouse. Take care, my friend and feel better.

🙏for Summer dear Lynn indeed and always for you and Don. I also love your morning picture, adorable.

PollyannaMom:hug:Wishing you a relaxing day :)

I think maybe my feet are a little less swollen. They just hurt :( Today, I will try the cold compress along with perhaps more elevating. Have to get this better! Thank you all so much for your extra care!

Happy Thursday, dear Friends💕

Good afternoon everyone. I went back my customary 1 extra page, but no more. I'm sure I've missed a bit but well, life does go on and at times it sure can be busy! As I prefer busy over boredom I'll take it! Harvest should be in about 2 weeks, and October looks to be busy around here in general. Anyway, I am sorry if I missed anything important and of course good thoughts going out to all.

I'm walking a little better today.
Good to hear.
It looks like a beautiful day to fly.
Have a great trip!

Excellent advice! And thanks for posting that, I'm always forgetting what heat vs. cold do for injuries.
Finally have my hair appointment tonight
Whew - I hear you on the hair appt. I have one next Wednesday, just for a quick trip BUT I also have an appt. next month with another "specialist" for a major change. That appt. is just a consultation, to talk about what I want and if it's possible and what it will cost and what kind of maintenance it will require...that's my problem. Maintenance.
I have to snap out of whatever I'm in these last couple of weeks.
You know, it wasn't until I read this that I realized I was experiencing something similar. I've got a few things going on that are unresolved, and won't be for a bit. I think it's that stuff swirling around my head that has me out of sorts.

So not a whole lot going on this weekend for me. Husband is headed out of town for the weekend tomorrow morning, he's going to visit with some family and go to his family reunion. I'm staying home. Looks like the weekend will be a cooler rain-out but that's okay. I think I'm going to get some long needed organizational things done in the basement and my closet. I'm going to make a short list of items I still need for the basement - stuff like some shelves, and a towel holder for the bathroom. Odds & ends. I'll go do a bit of shopping for that stuff on Saturday probably. I do have a Target & Costco return to make - I just have to decide if I feel like schleping up to the Costco or not Saturday with a gazillion other folks from NY, NJ & PA. Thinking of making duck & wild rice soup on Sunday. Or maybe chili? We'll see what I feel like on Sunday!
Cleared a majority of the summer flowers/potted seasonal items off of the porch and into the compost pile. I still have all my ferns and a few items that are good with the cooler weather, I'll leave them there till the frost gets them. Might get some mums this weekend if I go out.
I still have not gotten my fall "decor" -such as it is- out of the attic. I don't like to put a ton of stuff out in the house, but a few things can help change the look of the house as we enter into fall. I do want to reacquaint myself with my fall tablecloths though - we got a new dining room table in the spring (still haven't used it yet!) that might benefit from a new covering/fall decor.
Does anyone in the northeast/mid atlantic still have hummingbirds? It's our habit to sit out on the porch around 5 or 5:30 in the evening to decompress from the day. We are still seeing hummingbirds, they come right up to us. And they look very po'd at me for having taken away their feeders 2 weeks ago! We still do have plenty of flowering items in the yard so maybe that is keeping them around.
Speaking of the yard it looks like I'll be getting out of the mowing this weekend due to the weather. Well - unless I do it tomorrow evening. Maybe I'll let it go till next Monday or Tuesday and just concentrate of the house this weekend.

Lynn - I did read what you had to say about Summer and her needed surgeries. I wish her the best and a speedy recovery (and helpful kids!)

For those of you traveling, have a wonderful time!
