Thank you so much everyone. Your wishes and prayers help. I believe in the power of prayer and know that each one sent helps.
No good news today. She is not responding to the maximum dose of oxygen. They are trying a bipap machine today to force oxygen into the lungs. If that does not work, they will intubate later today or tomorrow. Nurse says her lungs are in very bad shape.
I’m dealing with a lot of anger at my father right now. He gave it to her. His case was mild. At 77, he has insisted upon working throughout the pandemic, despite my nurse sister’s urging not to. Every day he worked he put my mom at risk. I’m mad my mom didn’t stand up and insist he not work. As I said, we are a dysfunctional family and these patterns have been in place for decades.
I fear we will pay the ultimate price for my dad’s choices. They had no need of money. It’s all so futile.
