For our Aulani contract, QA actually contacted us first. This is because, unlike the contracts for the WDW properties, the Aulani deed must be notarized when signed due to Hawaii law. I'm glad QA called, because we probably wouldn't have noticed that until after we signed otherwise!
Nope, it's the deed... but you will easily be able to see on the paperwork. On the main checklist (titled "Document and Signature Checklist") you will see in the right column where it says "Signed & Notarized" in boldface by the "Vacation Ownership Deed". If you are financing, you will also need to get the mortgage notarized, but again, this is noted in boldface on the checklist. Also, on the documents themselves, there is a space for the notary's signature and stamp only on the document(s) that require notarization. It's pretty simple!I thought you had to have the DVC contract notarized. Maybe I misunderstood.![]()

Only if you are financing. Then you need to have that paperwork notarized. If you are not, then you should be all set!
