Quality Assurance Hours?

Does anyone know the hours for Quality Assurance. We should be getting our contract in a few days, and I work 10 hour days, so I'm wondering how late they are open.

9-5 EST but the only reason to contact them is if you have a contract problem with a new direct buy. You can also contact you Guide.

My Vacation Guide said when the contract papers came, I was supposed to call QA and they would walk me through everything and that it would take no longer than 45 minutes. She said they even had some big notice on the paperwork that told you to contact QA. I'm not sure if this is because I'm financing a portion of it, or if this is new procedure. It was just what she told me yesterday. :confused3
 
We have purchased several contracts direct and never called them. The written instructions are pretty easy to follow and they tell you where to sign and what to do. If you send in the paper work and you made a mistake, they will contact you. The paper work doesn't have to be sent in right away and if you made a deposit, you probably already have your account set up and your points loaded.

Call MS for your website login info, you don't have to wait for it to be mailed to you.

There is some paper that tells you to call. When I did, they asked if I had questions. I said no, it was pretty clear. They said great, just call back if I did. I was on the phone less than 5 minutes.
 
For future reference, I was told by my vacation guide today that the QA folks are open until 7 p.m. :thumbsup2
 
We contacted the QA people on our first contract, but have not done so on any contracts we have purchased since then. On the first contract we already knew all of the information they wanted to be sure we understood, e.g. rule of 4, banking, borrowing, when we could use our points (we bought BLT before it opened) and just a review of the basic concepts.
 
For our Aulani contract, QA actually contacted us first. This is because, unlike the contracts for the WDW properties, the Aulani deed must be notarized when signed due to Hawaii law. I'm glad QA called, because we probably wouldn't have noticed that until after we signed otherwise!

I thought you had to have the DVC contract notarized. Maybe I misunderstood. :confused3

Nope, it's the deed... but you will easily be able to see on the paperwork. On the main checklist (titled "Document and Signature Checklist") you will see in the right column where it says "Signed & Notarized" in boldface by the "Vacation Ownership Deed". If you are financing, you will also need to get the mortgage notarized, but again, this is noted in boldface on the checklist. Also, on the documents themselves, there is a space for the notary's signature and stamp only on the document(s) that require notarization. It's pretty simple!

Only if you are financing. Then you need to have that paperwork notarized. If you are not, then you should be all set!

I am financing part of it, so it looks like I do need to have it notarized. Thanks for the clarification!
