hi. new here on the boards. while in disney our QUADRUPLETS will be turning 5. any ideas for a special meal? we were thinking chef mickeys because we've never done that one. it will only be my husband , myself, the quads and their 2 1/2 year old brother so we want to make it as special as possible.

Hello and welcome to the disboards!

Chef Mickey's would be a fun choice for the kids. The pics they take with Mickey will be a cute souvenir of kids that grow so fast!

Another idea would be Ohana. Your gang is just the right age for the games they play. A table by the window where you could watch the fireworks would make a magical evening.

When you make the PS, be sure to tell them it will be the kids' birthday.

Chef Mickey's is a good choice. 'Ohana is definitely good. It's always our first dinner at the world. Your kids would enjoy that as well.

I would also highly recommend Chef Mickeys!! My DDs love it! But the hoola hoop and coconut races at Ohanas is another family favorite!!

Enjoy your stay - and Happy Birthday to the kids!!

Welcome to the boards. We have had several birthdays at WDW and our son's favorite has been at Chef Mickey's. It is so kids friendly and they really do make a big deal out of the kids! Have fun!:D

As a mom of 6 kids (I only had four that were young together) I must advise you against doing a buffet with that many little ones and no other adults along to help you. You will be worn out filling plates and taking care of everyone!!!!! You really need someone to wait on you and your little ones! I suggest a character meal like the Garden Grill in the Land Pavillion or Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK where great food will be brought to you and served family style!!!
Welcome to the boards!:earsgirl:

The Crystal Palace is fun with the Pooh characters. I only want to say one more thing: GOD BLESS YOU.

wow thank you for all your advise!!!looks like chef mickeys it is! and ohanas as well. but can you please tell me which characters are there as well as should we do breakfast or dinner? oh and thank you for your concern about doing a buffet. but with dad working long hours to raise 5 little ones i got used to doing it all on my own. i actually take them food shopping, out to lunch, to the pool, etc by myself all the time. i figured i'd better get used to it or the kids and i would be stuck in 24/7. plus moving into PA last year (NJ was too expensive for the size house we needed, lol) we are now atleast an hour from all family members!!!! but after 5 years of being just me and the kids (well dad of course when he's not working) their first day of school is aug 30!!!! so it'll just be me and the little one! i dont know what i'm going to do with myself!!!! LOL!!

I'd recommend Chef Mickeys too. Being quads, I'm sure some extra special treament will be granted!

Happy Birthday to all, and have a wonderful time.

Louise

Oh my gosh -- you are so brave, lol!:D

Chef Mickey's is like a party in itself! My DD is 7 and she loves it. When we went for breakfast, it was Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip and Dale. I would suspect that quads celebrating a birthday would be a major fun event for them, so be sure to mention it.

Crystal Palace was a more relaxed atmosphere IMO. We had breakfast there and there was Pooh, Eyeore, Piglet and Tigger. It was also much less crowded that Chef Mickey's.

Have a fun time!

Wow! Quads ? That is great that they get to celebrate their Birthday in Disney. When will you be there? I bet they are all excited . I think if you tell your waiter or waitress ahead of time they will all come over and sing happy birthday to them. Your children will love Chef Mickeys. Just watch out for those swinging napkins!

'Ohanas has Mickey, Chip, Dale, and Goofy for sure. Sometimes Minnie has been there but I don't think you can count on it. They only serve a character breakfast at 'Ohanas. For dinner here, there are no characters but they do some great interactive games for the kids and it's very much a family atmosphere.

Chef Mickey's serves breakfast and dinner.

I second the idea that it sure is nice when touring the parks all day to have someone wait on YOU! Although I'm sure you are Supermom and able to take care of all those young ones, I guarantee you won't mind sitting back and letting someone else help you care for them for a change.

The Garden Grill is a revolving restaurant at EPCOT that has Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You sit in a booth and the server brings things to your table family style. Characters give great interaction here.

almost every/any place you go will help make the meal more festive if you let them know ahead of time you are celebrating a birthday. When you make your priority seatings have it noted, and then remind them when you check in for your meal.

Sending lots of pixie dust your way!

CONGRATS! You must be a saint. Do make sure that you tell them about the quads' birthday at the restaurant and your Resort, especially if you're staying onsite. CM's really get into the kids' birthdays. I even had the CM's at the Boardwalk general store sing happy birthday to my 1-year-old, take pictures of him in their "birthday hat" and SEND the pictures to me at home.
