Qu re backpacks in parks and transportation?

HI all!! We will be leaving next Sunday and I have a few newbie questions!! Do the parks allow you to carry a backpack into the park? I thought I read somewhere they don't allow food, but I need to bring in a change of clothes etc for my little one. Also, we will be staying at Portofino Bay. Will we be walking to the parks or is there bus or boat transportation?

1)Yes, it will be checked at the front and must be stowed in lockers at certain attractions: Hulk, MIB, and Dueling Dragons.

2)They dont want you to bring in outside food, but if you do, they wont stop you, and they allow baby food, fruit, small snacks, water, etc. Changes of clothes are more than acceptable.

3)The PBH has a free water taxi, or you can walk to the parks.
