Priceline Express Deals

Hey guys, we are doing 8 nights in mid-September. I have a DVC rental at OKW from 9/13-9/20, and I’ve been planning to add a night at Drury on our arrival day (9/12) if no express deals come out. I’ve been plugging in 2 rooms for 9/12 and the two attached deals have recently populated. I think it’s AOA and Grand Floridian. They aren’t good deals, but could this mean better Express Deals are coming?

It’s certainly possible but no one really knows for sure.
However, one thing you may want to do is search for 1 room. I’ve found that when I search for more than one room, it drastically changed the price in the past. YMMV though.

FWIW: I was tipped off again today that some resorts on Priceline had big review count changes - looks like several non-Disney resorts had a LOT of reviews trimmed. That caused a few to jump in Guest Rating, even changing between 7 and 8.

Priceline is doing the priceline today and almost all Disney resorts are appearing WITHOUT guest or review ratings so can't tell if those changed. However, AoA did have them listed and the review count only moved up be a small number, so when those ratings reappear I suspect they'll be effectively the same.

The one change I think the most Disneyfied people will care about is the Swan review count dropped from 1,283 to 668 reviews! Guest rating remains at 8 rounded.

I have updated the database with the Bonnet Creek and DS resorts that appeared in my results.

I was away this week (Conrad Orlando on Hilton free night certs - HIGHLY recommend!) and just back home - so hope to catch up more later and look at the UOR resorts to see if there were any changes over there.

I haven't had time to look too deeply yet, but seeing hidden Priceline deals starting this Saturday (8/09) and into September.
Music form $80s - $110s, CSR as low as $160s, AoA suite for high $200s, even a POR (Not great at $224) and a GF! for high $300s.

Going to try to block out the start and end dates later for a blog post...

I had been watching these for awhile for 9/12-9/13 on our travel day. I recently took advantage of 10% back through Rakuten to book that night at the Drury instead. We don’t arrive until after 3:00 PM and need to grab our groceries too so the free dinner that night and free breakfast in the morning were a big perk we felt we could take advantage of considering our plans. Plus we plan to drop our bags at OKW in the morning and spend all day at Typhoon Lagoon on our check-in day the next day too.

My date only has AOA and GF…which I probably couldn’t justify the discounted cost on a travel day. Thankfully we didn’t get the All Stars at all, because I definitely would have preferred that for under $100.

FYI, AOA was $319 and GF was $422.

Previously had an AP ressie at 135 all in.

Now at 109 all in with the 5 percent code "ANYTIME5"

Does this look like Disney's Grand Floridian Sep 6-10 (shown by guest rating ranking below actual GF)? I can see the Express star rating but not number of ratings. I was not sure how to search JJTNY engine without all factors.

I don't think you can search JJTNY's database without number of reviews. Based on what we can see, including the matching before price, I'd give this listing a 95%+ chance of being Grand Floridian.

You don't have to enter review counts in my search engine, just Star Rating and Location are required.
I figure that way whenever Priceline goes through one of their massive review purges that changes some resorts, at least you can look at all the, say, 4-stars in a row and make an educated guess.

While Priceline continues to have a guest rating and review count freak out for Disney resorts, just sorting the search results by "Guest Rating..." will put the hidden deal right below the regular deal for that resort and give it away.

But, in my search engine, you can just search by entering star-rating and choosing a location - then you can sift through that list.

I did not... we are still looking at that time period. (I really want to know! But not sure we are going to FL that week or at all.)

That deal has to be Grand Flo - there are only two 4.5-star resorts in Bonnet Creek: GF (8-guest rating) and AK Jambo (9-guest rating).

Not that we can tell from the listings while Priceline is borked because guest ratings are currently missing, but it just ain't going to be Jambo which was extremely rare on Priceline deals before the pandemic and fairly unseen since.

Plus it lines up with GF in the search results when you sort by Guest rating.

Yes, that does look like Coronado.

The trick is to search your dates, then sort by "Guest Rating & Number of Reviews" - even though PL is being wonky these last few weeks and not showing Disney resort ratings, it should sort each hidden deal right below the resort it is for.

I had not seen any POR hidden deals so far, but that doesn't mean there weren't any.

When I look for this one on my desktop using both of your dates it did not show up for me - but that's just Priceline being Priceline.
When I just look for the 1-night it does appear - but there's no matching resort for it when I use the Guest rating sort.

The fact that it is not showing any ratings etc does make it strongly seem to be a Disney resort, but can't say definitively - although I do agree it seems super POR-like. and would be a terrific price!

When I search that date in my phone app I get a non-hidden POR for $221 and a POFQ - but no hidden deal!

These are all the 3.5* resorts in DS:


Looking at all of the results, I see each of those non-Disney resorts listed and they do not line up with the hidden deal, so that tells me that it is very, very unlikely to be one of them. (I'll never say never, but really, very close to zero. Would only be them if PL is having an insane moment.)

Also almost zero chance it would ever be OKW, because that is just too rare, haven't seen one hidden in quite a few years.

So, if I had to, I'd bet all my churros it is either POR or a bit less likely POFQ.

BINGO! Was able to snag this and was also able to add extra %15 percent off with the priceline express deal. Grand total little under 350. Overall happy experience.
