Q's on Archive Tour and Merchandise

Hello Diser's! I will be attending the Walt Disney Studio and Archive Tour. I have a couple of questions for you.

1.) We will be staying at the GCH. How long do you think it will take us to get to the Burbank Studios on a Saturday morning?

2.) This question is for D23 members that have done the tour. What kind of merchandise was for sale at the tour?

1. It takes about one hour in light traffic to get to the Studios. However, if there is a major traffic accident it can take up to 2.5 hours. Plan for about 1 to 1.5 hours.

2. You are given access to the Disney Studio Company Cast store. It has unique items (Pins) and Cast shirts and Jackets...

Enjoy! Take lots of pictures too - Dave Smith let my son hold one of the Oscars! Also you can get shots of the legends plaza and of the famous sign at the corner of Dopey Drive. It was a wonderful experience. No video was allowed though.

Don't cut the travel time too short - that last poster is right about allowing for accidents. It is a long drive. You're doing a Saturday morning so little traffic and an hour should suffice, but I gave it 2 for a slightly longer trip - and then searched for a Starbucks via my GPS - it kept tring to send me to the one in the Disney Studios or Warner's Studios ( very close).

They gave us plenty of time afterwards at the 2 employee stores ( side by side ). One had mostly things you could get at the World of Disney, but the other (smaller) had employee only shirts, pins, and other items.

d23 offers the tours - not often, and they sell out fast.
I believe Adventures by Disney does one too, included in a package which goes a lot of Disney-related places ( El Capitan for one )
