Can someone help explain the advantages or disadvantages in Day VS Night Rooms? If I book now for Oct. I can get a rate of $152 + taxes+ Sur charges, I'm confused on what date you book the day in port or the night prior? What about cancellations if bad weather occurs? I'm wondering if we should just stay on the ship. This is our 3rd Cruise and I haven't ventured over to Atlantis once :confused3. Decisions Decisions!!!

Thanks,
E

When I called last November, I was told they didn't offer a "day use" room. I don't know if this has changed. We booked for the day we arrived in Nassau. They allowed us to check in early. Our room was available at that time, otherwise they would have given us the wristbands to enjoy the pools and we would have to check back later for the room key. I remember reading someone was able to have the HK gratuity and Energy surcharge removed because they didn't use the room. We asked and where told no. :flower:

How close is the hotel to the pools at Atlantis?? Is it an easy walk if I'm using an umbrella stroller? Can you remember what you did for lunch or finding snacks? Thanks for your help!

I'm getting so excited......

Sorry, I just noticed I didn't answer your question about cancelling in the event of bad weather. If I remember correctly, you need to cancel w/in 48hrs of your scheduled arrival. It was a short walk from CS to Atlantis. Our room was at the far end of the hotel so we walked out that exit, crossed the street and were at the far end of Atlantis. Maybe 5 minute walk, if that. I took a small cooler with 6 drinks in it and a few snacks for the kids. We ate lunch at the counter service between the beach and the pools. I can't remember the name. Cool place to eat. They served burgers, hotdogs, etc. The price wasn't anymore than you would find at a theme park. I can say the meals were a good size, neither of my daughters could finish their meals. Wish we had shared. I wanted to be back to the ship before it got dark but we had so much fun we ended up staying a lot longer then we planned.:flower:

I'm still trying to decide on advance booking at CS or Day-Room @ Atlantis?
Sounds like an easy walk from CS to Pools. Thanks for the tips on snacks!! Seems like food always tastes the best when you're outside and especially swimming! We have early seating on the ship for dining...Not sure if we would skip that night and get more time at Atlantis.

Thanks Again,
E :flower:
