Q's about the Poly? When was the inside refurbished?

We have ressies at AKL for October.

Most everything we have scheduled is in the MK or Epcot area.

Thinking about the Polynesian.

We stopped here last year for lunch and the appearance of the inside of the lobby just seemed worn and old. It's just an observation and I thought maybe someone had some info on possible improvements.

Also, if we are thinking of staying at the Poly October 23-28 would we be in the newle remodeled concierge section or don't they guarantee an end date for the refurb?

If you take the monorail over to Epcot, how easy is it to get to the Boardwalk area?

If we want a non-smoking room with a balcony on the top floor is this possible?

For those of you that have stayed at the Poly what would you suggest for a quiet room in the LV Concierge?

We were there last March (2002) and they were fixing up the plants in the atrium, working on the waterfall, things like that. We just visited again this March (2003) and the lobby looked great. Some buildings outside by the pool were clearly under rehab; contruction-fencing was all around them. The grounds looked gorgeous.
