Q re National Executive Reservations

Site still sez 2/28 for DH. I wonder if free rental days i have stockpiled will go poof too if he's booted back to EA. Im thinking EA needs more rental days to earn a freebie, could be wrong.

I think you keep your rental days. Last year I did not automatically upgrade so I wrote them last month and they said they don't change it until the end of February. Last year I got accidently dropped down to EA and it took a month to sort it out. I found the apology email in my mailbox the other day and it was dated March 26th. I lost one of my free days on Jan. 1, so they had no problem taking that from me right away. Sometimes the coupons are so much better than the free days so never got around to using them. I like using my free days for those 1 day rentals to get to and from our local airport when the family can't take us or pick us up. I guess we continue to wait to see what happens. I think if you're an AM. Ex. member you should be keeping the status as I thought it was a permanent perk?? dunno

Days will stay, but you are right, it's more days to earn the freebie with just "EA" status.

ok thanks, i too had planned on the free days for 1 day rentals but for venturing offsite when a mostly WDW vacation combined with ME one trip this year.

I just got a new card in the mail today and the letter stated I did not meet the rental requirements for "executive" so I have been bumped back to regular Emerald Club.

I have a reservation that is Executive...... I am assuming it will drop back down to Aisle???

We also got our card in the mail, but as I knew, we maintained our status again another year. That's what happens when you spend 40+ days a year at WDW alone. I'm relieved that I didn't have to do anything this year. Last year they accidently downgraded us and it took a month to get it straightened out.

BTW--my online status expiration has not changed yet and still says it expires Feb. 2011.

I received my new card in the mail yesterday - got dropped back down to Emerald Aisle. I have a reservation for Executive Aisle in May.

Today I received an email coupon for $35 off a weekly rental, so I went to see what would happen to my reservation if I modified it with this coupon. If I modified it, it dropped me to Emerald Aisle, but if I left it alone it kept me at Executive.

Of course, I suppose they could change it at a later date. I decided to leave it alone and see what happens for the extra $5 off that this new coupon gives.

Congratulations on another year! My status online has not changed either. It still says I expire 28 Feb 2011. Keep an eye on that, because I didn't get anything in the mail last year right away and finally got something and they downgraded me when I knew I had enough days. It took until the end of March last year before they fixed it, along with a extremely nice apology letter. Keep in mind the new card came in a folded postcard that I almost threw out because I thought it was junk mail!

Maybe you'll see something you want on the regular aisle. Our last trip we wanted an Edge for the 2 of us and took it off the regular aisle instead of choosing from Executive. Good luck.

the mr didn't get anything in the mail, checked online & hisExA expiration date still indicates 2/28/11 (have 3 rentals booked for the year). He was slightly short on qualifying, but a consistent renter for many years, not sure if he might (hopefully) slip thru the crack on this one

They have not updated yet as of this morning. I did get our Executive Card in the mail for this year (strangely it came in a little postcard flyer that we almost threw away), but the online still says the same as yours 2/28/11. They've never been fast on updating their system, except when you have an expiring rental day. I had one that was due to expire on 12/31/10 and by midnight that puppy was gone. (I hate when that happens!)

Mine has been updated.... says expires Dec. 31, 2037. When I was Executive, it would say Feb 28 of the next year....

Congratulations! Funny about being short on days. It reminds me of the year I was short ONE day (my count wasn't the same as their count) and I got dropped to EA so fast and really missed the Exec Aisle that year. No more for us. I actually pad it by several days if I'm near 40, plus they at least give us updates throughout the year. Yes, my date also finally changed (about a week ago) to Feb 28, 2012. (I wonder if they know that 2012 is leap year!) We got our Exec card back in January.

n2mm thanx- perhaps they counted all the trips originally booked, even if they were later cancelled due to plans changing/rebooking at lower rate lol, figure it was a mistake
