Need advice on how to "advertise - points for transfer"
on the Disboard and what is involved in closing the deal

Do not want to get involved in making the reservation
and am aware of the fact you can only transfer once
per year, so I would like to just move my extra points

If someone accepts Pay Pal (credit card)
How do you cover the cost of processing fees

Visit the Rent/Trade board. You'll find plenty of people doing the same thing! Good Luck!

if they pay in a way that costs you more, advertise that you will pass that cost along to them.

IIRC, paypal charges 2.9% to 3.0% for credit card transactions, so advertise that paypal users will pay that fee.

Just know that technically you can neither accept compensation for point transfers (as opposed to renting) AND you are not permitted to pass on the costs of PayPal. Both restrictions are clearly listed in the respective agreements.

That said, it IS done on a regular basis by many owners despite the official position.

It's as high as about 6% for a basic account using a CC but the charge for a business or premier account is on more than just CC payments, I think it's on ALL forms of payment.

We have a few banked points from our Aug use year
Can Banked Points be Transferred to another Member
If the answer is no, how long do we have before
we have to use them - when would they expire?

No, banked points cannot be transferred. With an August Use Year, any banked points will expire after July 31, 2007.
