Q: DVC Resale Question

One of these days, I hope to come to this forum as a DVC member. I just recently decided to begin looking into purchasing a resale at OKW.

Question: If I purchase a resale that has limited points (for example 30), would Disney offer me more points to purchase? Or would I still purchase more points by purchasing additional resales?

Yes, you can buy a small resale contract and add-on directly from DVC.

Note that on such a small resale, the closing costs (typically paid by the purchaser) will be quite high. Regardless of the size of the contract, closing typically runs $400-500. So, on a 30-pt contract, you're effectively paying $13-16 per point just to close.

I think that some recently bought 30 DVC points resale, and has posted to say how excited he (I think he's a "he") was, and has boasted that he has the fewest points. We welcome you home, no matter how many points!!

Decided to go for it!
The contract is signed and sent! If Disney says okay - we'll be the proud owners at Old Key West!

Closing: $375, plus we're getting banked points!

And once you're "in the system" at DVC, you should be able to add on SSR points. They have a good incentive going on right now for add ons.
