PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

I would love this at all resorts. But then the Saratoga-has-many-redeeming-qualities-but-we-never-stay-there crowd would be out with their pitchforks 🤣
Dump on SSR all you want, but I would say that a Congress Park room with a view over DTD (especially when the Drone show was going on) would be a much better view than the construction/golf/monorail view of the PVB IT Standard rooms, and the point chart would be much nicer...

Don't think there is any intention of dumping on SSR at all. Just discussing people, like myself, who have SSR SAPs and never intend to use them at SSR.

This is what is great about DVC. So many resorts to fit so many different palates.

Here for a week at CFW and finally got to see the tower by hitching a ride on one of the tours. I am so impressed with the rooms/decor/layouts - it’s better than I expected and feeling justified with the 1bdrm TPV villa fixed week here in December - starting to wonder if I should have bought a 2bdrm TPV instead! First stay is booked next month in a 1bdrm TPV, and then again at July 4th in a 2bdrm TPV.

Also thought the food at Wailulu was great, and couldn’t help but notice the castle view from the bar - awesome!

Some other observations:

- I am surprised how short/quick the walk is from the tower to GCH… the early looks at the map made it seem so much worse than it is.

- Some people are really worked up about crowded monorails. I am not seeing the problem?

If I want to go to MK, I’m taking a boat launch - it was delightful (btw rumors about a dedicated boat launch for the Tower?).

If I’m going to Epcot, TTC is a 10 minute walk… 15 minutes if I stop to smell the roses.

If I’m going to GF, it’s an even shorter walk the other way.

All the walking adds up to no more time than I would waste in line for and then riding the monorails? For my use case, I don’t think I’m riding any monorails anywhere when staying at PIT.

It’s interesting how small the “Preferred” category is. So when you say “facing the pool” is that just the east side of the wing that bends south? None on the lagoon side at all?

On the one hand it’s good that they’re not trying to pass anything on the Monorail side off as “Preferred” (Penthouses excepted). On the other, it’d mean everything non-Duo on lagoon-side (even 2nd floor?) is for sure in the expensive TPV category?

A couple of the upper level rooms on the golf course side are listed as preferred. I can't tell what the deal is why this is the case.
Low floor and/or north facing (toward VGF) would feel like a ripoff…

Those North facing rooms are theme park view though - not sure how bad the view is, but yeah doesn't seem like they really face that way. And yes, all the East facing rooms are theme park, even the first floor.

Are you Forrest Gump? Please tell me you didn't WALK from the Poly tower to the Grand Cal??? 🤣 I kid. Ceremonial House I guess, not Grand Cal Hotel?

Ok, so staying at PIT today to try out the Duo Studio. The room, for 2 people, is totally fine.

A couple of nice touches is that a little chair and ottoman are accessible even with the bed down. Helps my DH who goes to bed later than me. There's also the make up mirror and I can use the armrest of the couch on the right to put my glasses at night.

Everything else is fine BUT there is a major deal breaker for me and that's the lack of a kitchen sink. I use the sink in the studio kitchens a lot and the one in the "bath area" (outside the bathroom) is too small and shallow.

Not a huge deal but they did a BLT on the sink situation here and it seems so short-sighted. Not a fan of the Duo and will avoid it in the future if I can. We had one booked in January and I canceled it.

Thanks for the info. The sink situation is a little annoying.
Is that a standard or preferred view?

I have the same issue with those. Not a fan at all of having the bathroom sink outside the bathroom.

Standard. It has a fun vestibule if you see the video. We're debating setting up a little waiting area out there 😜

Maybe Disney is taking a swipe at Universal and Potter? I forget which movie, but one of the Weasley twins brushed their teeth in the kitchen. Now you can do this too in the duos. 🤣

SUCH a weird choice, especially considering all the sustainable real dishes they put in the cupboard. I asked my guide what you were supposed to do with those and he said to just leave the dirty dishes on the counter 💀💀💀

We are checking in today after a park day at MK, moving over from BRV. We have 2 nights in a SV deluxe studio so I can post some views.

We did have dinner at Wailulu 2 nights ago, we were seated inside along the window. Leaning back over our booth I could see the fireworks. The server was happy to let us get up after we ordered and stand at thr bar area to watch the fireworks.

I will say we were seated right next to the door leading out to the bar, it seems like that is the only door used by staff between inside and outside and there was a ton of foot traffic at our table. I would ask to be seated somewhere different next time.

The booths outside at the bar area were amazing. It was pretty chilly when we visited so we opted for inside but with the heaters going and not much wind outside would have been great.
