PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

For the cost, all of these stink and the blue circled one is a ripoff. I hope Tom Corless gets it and does a rant about it 😂

You know, I thought these endcap rooms were gonna be the bottom-of-the-barrel TPVs too, but I've come around to thinking of them TPV-via-GrandFlo. As for the 1st floor part, that's bad regardless.

Back to the angle, to the castle is actually better than some of the other TPVs...

Purely in terms of angles, the green-line rooms seem to have the greatest deviation from the castle. Even moreso to the fireworks (most nights), which come from well behind the castle.

Ooo I like your analysis!

Quick question for anyone who has been - I know the elevators are card/band access, but I thought I had read the Terrace Gardens had card/band scanners as well. There are conflicting reports in another thread so just trying to figure it out. :thanks:
We hopped to 3/4 terraces around 10/11pm the night we were there and never scanned into anything. Don’t even remember seeing scanners but truthfully didn’t pay attention too much.

I have a reservation for five nights later this year in the Tower. I've already been out to the Tower once. There are lovely things there. But honestly, I think these five nights are going to be one-and-done for me. Except for the fireworks viewing rooms, most everything about the deluxe studios in the longhouses (with the exception of the parking lot rooms in Pago) seems better: more space, closer to better pools, nice views of the grounds, no messing around with premium views of road construction, strong sense of place and theming. Deluxe studios in the tower or the longhouses are the same points, and the duos are only two to four points less--but the view in many of those low-cost duos is pretty rough, where as most of the longhouse studios are pretty nice.
Yeah I think once the newness dies down, the standard view rooms in the tower will not be booked up as much as other views and other properties. This actually may make booking a standard view studio in the original longhouses tougher now that Poly has a bigger spotlight on it and more owners.

I’m waiting to see more firsthand reviews of standard view guests because everyone gushing about the Tower have theme park views but I like stretching my points and never book theme park view rooms. I never felt the need to when the standard view is beautiful at most of the DVC properties. I do avoid parking lot views and have never had a problem booking standard view and avoiding them.

If I remember correctly, the blue prints had two walkout areas on each side of the rooms on 9th and/or 10th. If so, everyone on those floors will have a nice view. (I am assuming those floors are only accessible to guests staying on those floors)

Unfortunately those areas are for Cast Members only.

You could always request the specific room number you want?
Yes and I will definitely do that but still leaves me at a 50/50 shot. I'm more so curious if there is going to be any way Disney allocates these rooms or if it will just be luck of draw. Or, for example, I knew I wanted to stay in this room when I saw a pic of the patio and have a cash registration booked. Does dvc get first priority, does cash? Hope this makes sense and I LOVE DISNEY so hope I'm not being that person I just booked based off Disney's pictures and description of an extended balcony for a 2 bedroom penthouse TPV

That would be very unfortunate. Starting to sound like there are a lot of TPVs that are hit or miss. That's a lot of points for a gamble, IMO.
It's a very odd situation because the MK castle plainly is visible, but the immediate thing catching (demanding) your attention is the dominating view of the GF. 🤷‍♂️

Full disclosure...I'm not a Poly owner and will be using resale SAPs when I do book here.

If I were Disney I would consider priority views, if they aren't already doing this. Direct Poly gets you the best of the TPVs. Then tier viewing from there down.

I actually didn't even see the castle on the video. So this would be a legit TPV I guess.
