PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

This could be why they have 2024 for all UYs since they were not buying back?
Having 2024 UY makes even less sense (to me) if they aren’t buying back because it will make the competition to book Politow even more brutal for most of 2025 as people have more points (a lot of which can’t be further banked).

Allows 150 point families splurge on a 1 bedroom, fall in love with it over a studio then add on another 150 after the trip

Has this been brought up:
I'm hoping interest in staying in the new PIT might move some existing PVB reservations over, and open up a week for us in
Jan/Feb. 2025 ??? Wishful Thinking !? :scratchin I'll be stalking the RAT daily:P

If I am able to book my 2br on the 15th there will be two standard studios opening up in feb 2025! :)

Behind the smoke and mirrors, I'm pretty sure that there will be a marketed emphasis to prioritize those purchasing new points into PIT rooms. Where these rooms come from will be a mystery. Just saying, I won't be surprised if it's very, very difficult for current PVB owners to book an actual multi-day vacation in the tower for a while.

BTW - my guide just told me that I wouldn't get a fixed week until 2026 if I bought that. So, say I chose a week in May, my 2024 UY points would be used however I see fit, then my 2025 points would book the May 2026 week. I guess this makes sense, I just didn't realize this. I'd be OK with that approach for a May week, but if I went 44, I'd want 2025 booked for me! I might just buy a regular 110 points and chance it.

Was this the same scenario for those of you buying late December fixed weeks?

Now, where is that thread where a dozen people told me that this wouldn’t happen a few months ago?
I was one who said they can’t legally keep declared inventory from any PBV owner, that is still true.

But, I do admit that I am very surprised that DVC is giving their own inventory to those who buy tower points as they have never done it….we shall see if it actually happens but maybe this is why they are not doing magical beginnings.

It’s basically the same thing for them…it will be interesting to see how long it lasts for current owners. It’s always been a thing for new owners via the welcome home booking.

ETA. And the reason I am shocked is because they would not and did not do this when RIV launched. We had brand new RIV points and wanted to use them during the first month of opening and they would not give us special access to developer inventory because we were already owners….wouldnt evrn do it for my adult children who were new owners to the membership.

They need to release this info! Important to know what you are buying.

I don’t know if they ever put it out, do they? Most of it seems to be discovered when people book and are given rooms.

The reason is that number of rooms within a view can change if they need to adjust later on.

Having said that, where you might see it will be in the updated multi site POS. I haven’t found it yet but anyone buying should be given it with thier new copy of it.

What is your UY?

I don’t think that chart is showing those because you can buy them, but rather that this is the FW chart for the resort as it is one association so all numbers are there.

Even if something is sold out for FW, that chart will still list it.
Thx, Sandi...There's a Duo with my name on it out there somewhere for my annual solo trips to PVB....Somewhere over the :rainbow: A least we have family trips covered. So grateful I bought when resale was affordable for us.

I don’t see it lasting. There is a big difference between “booking your first trip” and “available for booking”. Living local, I book that calendar like Swiss Cheese. I know it drives some people batty 🤷🏼‍♀️ it is what it is … DVC doesn’t care, it has absolutely no effect on them. Their cash calendar on the other hand, does matter.

Well, people are reporting that DVD is going to allow people to access developer inventory using the new points, so in that sense, it will be taking them out of the system since those rooms are not part of declared rooms at this points.

I am still wondering how long this will be a thing…then again, nothing they have done with this project seems to make sense to me.

The reason it might be different this time is there is already and organization and members and points. If they dont pull from inventory then new owners that want their play with the shiny new toy, may not be able to. With RIV all were part of a new membership. If I am not mistaken owners at other places could not book right away.

No idea what is going on here? I just bought fixed week #50 (April UY) and although my 2024 week is not available (because the tower opens after my week #50 begins this December 2024), my 2025 week #50 is already reserved. The 2024 points will just be added to my account so I can use them or bank them before my UY resets in April.

Trying to think of the scenario of UY and fixed week where what you said would be true.... but can't come up with it.

Does anyone know what the timeline for the new poly contracts ? I mean, I confirmed with my guide this morning but have not received any emails to sign. Would that take a few days ?
