PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Ok I confess I did not read all the posts here so forgive me if this has been asked and answered.

Is there any published inventory figures for PIT? How many studios, 1br, 2 br dedicated and lock off? All I have seen is total number of rooms. We almost always stay in 1br and occasionally 2br. Kinda want to know if competition for these will be high or not.

thanks
This confirms estimates that we’re floating around before, but it was only just released from Disney’s mouth on Friday, a few pages back:

(Thank you to whomever shared it first)

There are 46 lockoff 1s available in addition to the 26 dedicated, for max 72. But if all 1s were booked, there’s only 16+4 dedicated 2s. I imagine a lot of lockoffs will be booked as 2s.

At many other resorts, 1s are left available because studios book up and reduce the availability of lockoff 2s. Poly has so many dedicated studios available it might not shake out that way.

I have an appointment planned with my guide on Oct 29th, planning to purchase the Poly as my first DVC. I think I will purchase 150 points to begin with.

I need help understanding the 2 bedroom lock-offs. Is it a first come, first served thing? For example, if at the 11 month mark everyone wants a 2 bedroom, are they all gone? Or are some "saved' as studios and 1 bedrooms?

Thanks

None are saved. It’s first come, first served. Often the lock offs are booked as a studio freeing up the 1 br side but it could be different at the tower because of how studio heavy the resort is overall. My guess though is that booking a regular 2 br (not bungalow, not penthouse) is going to be challenging.

Man, those 2BR Penthouses look more and more like the worst value on property.

And extra 246 SF + 1 Bathroom versus a normal 2BR, and a 50/50 chance of getting a small balcony anyway. For almost 60% more points!

I'm sure there are guests with enough buying power that they'll splurge for "the best", diminishing returns be damned.

But these are NOT Grand Villas, and yet they are priced more aggressively than any GV on property (save VGF, which narrowly edges them out). Insanity!

Here’s a new one. I asked my guide about how things go on the first day of reservations for the tower (answer: probably have to call in, because that is how it has gone in the past with similar things, but contact MS a couple of days before if you want to confirm). He indicated that only new points could be used on that first day, and they would not combine with existing PVB points until after booking opened for everyone. That seems like it contradicts, among other things, the graphic. Am I crazy?

Yes, that seems to contradict the published info.

Why do you say they are “NOT Grand Villas”?

Show me the living room at the Penthouse vs the living room of the regular 2BD? The furniture? the view? Who cares about not having a 3rd bedroom. It seems to be elevated like a “Grand Villa” in every other way.

This is why some of us load up on SAP+.

My family or 4 is staying at a Boardwalk GV for our upcoming WDW trip. Why? Because I want the elevated experience, the guaranteed view, and the extra bathroom.

We’d be just as happy in a Boardwalk penthouse with one less bedroom but everything else in the room exactly the same.

That chart is not correct.

Both the regular 2-bedroom villas and the 2-bedroom penthouse villas have three (3) bathrooms.

Basically, all of the 2-bedroom units in the Poly Tower have three (3) full bathrooms.

Pretty sure they he’s wrong. If the points are all in the same association they need to all be held to the same rules. It’s in his interest to sell as many new points as possible. He may not be intentionally spreading incorrect information but maybe unconsciously he’s believing what he wants to believe.

All of this.

So you don’t think this living space is “grand” compared to the regular 2 bedroom?

I’m not saying you want to pay for it…. but it appears to be a SIGNIFICANTLY elevated experience.
If you want my honest opinion, the only two GVs that have seemed “worth it” to me are Jambo and GF. Maybe Aulani?

Poly 2BR seems to fit in the “all other” group to me.

I get that you and other don’t think it’s “worth it”. But it is definitely “Grand” compared to a regular 2 bedroom and you aren’t playing the “what’s my view” lottery.

And that's exactly what I've been expecting for weeks now.

Per Facebook comments, the SSR sales center officially opens for PVB tours tomorrow but has soft opened today.
Yes, got a call from my guide (just heard from them this week for the very first time!) today, and he stated he was at SSR sales center waiting to show to a family…which would make sense if the PVB sales tours were soft opening today.
