Looking like "Preferred View" is the rarest of the three view categories.

Theme Park View is likely the plurality (though it does seem to depend on the stage of declarations). Standard View has much more inventory than I thought (or there's a bias in the declarations in the first year).

Yes, I believe today that cash reservations at PIT can now be swapped for points bookings for only for new PIT points.

I’m still working with a CM. Because I have several bookings in DEC using a mix of poly and Riviera it’s not an easy swap. I might have to cancel and borrow to free up enough poly points to get this PIT booking for DEC.

I'm still on hold like everyone else, but I'm stalking the other resorts for misc. reservations I'm looking for, and a Riviera date that I've been wanting just opened up, so I'm happy about that. Is it possible to grab a reservation before the waitlist software? Does that program run once a day, or is it continuously searching for released reservations?

I’m on hold, called at 8:59:05 and got connected, had to listen to DVC cruise promo, long wait time message, and on hold since 9:02. Will update when I get through and if successful!

Same with me and I dialed in about 30 seconds early. The cruise promo went on and on and on forever and couldn't be bypassed.

We have definitely stalked open dates we have been trying to get and had one room pop up and grab it before it fulfilled our wait list. Being lucky at the right time appears to be better than the wait list sometimes so I would do both try yourself and wait list and see which gets filled first.

Yes, it is absolutely possible to grab a reservation before waitlist software. I have stalked the system many times and been able to book a room we had been waiting for before Disney's system. It's a lot of work, but can be satisfying.

I am hoping to get a couple nights to either the front or back end of one of the two solo trips booked at RIV in Feb and Apr. So four possible dates. Fingers crossed that gives me flexibility. Don’t want to borrow since I plan to book marathon weekend 2026 at the tower when DH goes also.
