PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

I just did this in September (with a 4 year old and a 1 year old) - two splits, short stays - the idea was looking at different resorts to think about a new home add on.

We got very lucky for our first two check ins and had a room before 1pm. Our last check in was touch and go, but it was ultimately a good experience. We did not unpack at any point, and I would not do it again except with the goal of seeing lots of different resorts.

I think it really depends on time of year and your kids. I have heard rumors of kids who can go without a nap or who can nap in a stroller, but those ain’t my kids.

If you’re going to be at SSR anyway, why not check out the model room there?
That was my last trip. My son was 2.5 and DW and I took turns holding him for his one nap of the day while the other hit the bigger rides. Worked great!

Spending time at resort is new to us. We are park open to close everyday we are there people even our last trip when my son was 2.5
We are hoping to pry ourselves away from that a little with DVC and enjoy the resorts. Just worried about 1-2 nights being almost pointless.

We are not park open to close anymore, we did it out first few trips but now we do a lot more rest days. We typically do 1 park then 1 rest now and sometimes a party in there.

Park open to close gets exhausting and I go to WDW to relax as much as visit the parks now. Resort days are great because we typically do a late breakfast, do some pool time, maybe DS and then grab a nice dinner with more pool time. Also if you’ve ever spent any time at bar riva we could spend all day there while our kids swim.

I would have to think for people who have been stalking the website to find availability....today will be a great day to do it. I would think lots of Poly people who have ressies booked at the original will move to the new tower. That in theory should set the first domino in motion....as I have to think the Poly is a pretty popular resort to try and trade/waitlist into.

Had the exact same thought, but no luck so far. But I'm gonna keep trying!

100%

I’m on hold, called at 8:59:05 and got connected, had to listen to DVC cruise promo, long wait time message, and on hold since 9:02. Will update when I get through and if successful!

I called in right at 9 and was stuck in the menu, hitting 1 would not register anything. When I hung up and called in again (menu finally worked) and said "all member services agents are busy, call back later" and hung up on me. I have not called to book anything in a long time so maybe this is the new way of things? It won't put me on hold at all.

"all of our advisors are busy assisting other members, we ask that you please call back again later." *click*

Got through at 8:01. Told the CM that I have a points reservation using Polynesian points that I want to switch to PIT and I’ve been on hold for a while.

CM came back and asked if it was booked on cash.

I called in right at 9 as well, I was able to hit 1. It then went to another menu asking if I was looking for Florida or California bookings, then asked my member number, phone number, etc. - I'm now on hold. And it says 45 minute wait time.

Lines just opened up, and it takes 2-3 minutes just to get through member services' questions about why you're calling before you're even put on hold. Give it 10-30 minutes, and longhouse studio availability will start to populate.
I just realized it started at 9 and not 8. Thanks!

I keep calling back and hitting "1" (member services) at the first prompt and then "1" at the second prompt (location) and it will not put me on hold, keep getting the same "everyone is busy message" and it hangs up on me. Over and over, will not put me on hold.
