We've just pieced together a 15 night stay after the 7 month window. With very limited availability, we're hopping 4 times! That's a lot of research to find desired locations. Hoping an expert can help. (Yes, we're expert hoppers and are well aware of the pros/cons.)

1. 2 bedroom Savannah view at AKV Kidani
2. (2) Studios SS Standard View- Most important that our two rooms are close together. Besides that what should we ask for?
3. 2 bedroom VGF lake view. I really like a fireworks view is that possible?
4. (2) rooms at POP! Century (Not a DVC resort). Most important is connecting rooms. Anything else?

Thanks for helping! These are less familiar places to us.

For AKV 2br, any villa overlooking the Sunset Savannah will be good. south puts you physically closer to Jambo House and the bus stops, north puts you closer to the pool. Depends what you're looking for.

For POP, are you staying preferred or standard? 50's has a cool "bowling pin" pool and is close to the main food court/lobby. 80's and 90's has a computer pool and is close to transportation. My least favorite at POP is the 70's, but I think it's because I'm not too crazy about the theming right there. Perhaps you should ask for room with good wifi - it was really hit or miss during our last trip...

VGF lake views are oriented facing the CR. Any view of the fireworks would be to the side and not straight on. GF buildings obscure the view. You may be able to see some of the higher fireworks from your balcony if you are on an upper floor.

Actually I'm pleased to say we've got standard view now, which has had a good view of the fireworks over the main building. Is there a certain room or request we should make for the best view?

I hope you are on the waiting list if hopping is not what you want to be doing. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more canellations than normal with what's happening.

For VGF if I could pick my standard view room I would want a high floor and either room 1X25 (dedicated 2 bedroom) or room 1X27(and 29) lock off.

They are on the underside of the right part of the upper cross of the T, and I think will get you the best view over the main building for the fireworks.

Rooms 13, 9(and 11), 7, 3(and 5) probably in that order those are on the right side of the Long part of the T.

Anything else is lake view or faces the monorail

Thanks for making it so clear!

We're going end of Sept-first week in October. Sure hoping this hysteria is done by then.
Thanks for the reminder. We're okay with hopping. We decided to do the DxDDP for one of our POP rooms and one of our SS studio rooms during those portions of our trip to make it extra enticing for us. The DxDDP actually ads value this way and makes it more worthwhile to do some character meals (that we wouldn't do when it's $300+/meal out of pocket.)

Reminder that connecting rooms at any resort is not guaranteed and are just a request. So you might or might not get lucky at Pop Century.

I like the Grandstand area for SV at SSR. Close to the Carriage House plus the boat/walking to DS.
This would be a request of building # 85- 1st, #81-2nd. What I call the lottery locations for standard view rooms at SSR, and yes I did hit it last year.
