Purple magic bands

It's the most asked for color, so I would guess we won't be able to select them for at least a year so it forces people to buy them at the park or online (they are only 12.99 online +5.99 shipping)

I imagine it would be a while since they started mailing matching luggage tags with them.

They would hafta make a special purple tag. Wonder what character they'd use. Clarabelle? Has she been in any of the new shorts?

Ooh, thank you for posting these. I had selected pink, but I'm not a huge Daisy fan. (I like her better than Minnie though, even if only marginally.) Now to decide between Yellow, Blue, and Orange. :/ Not my favorite options, but better than that Daisy tag.

FYI our luggage tags for our December trip did not match our customized magic bands. Bee got the gray Mickey and Minnie bands, but our magic bands were 3 reds a blue and a yellow.

This is what I get for quoting one before reading the rest.

Ugh. I wish we knew for sure what tags we would get (or could select them). Definitely NOT a fan of Minnie and only slightly more of Daisy. I love Goofy, but not that picture of him.

Oh well, I guess I'll just pick a color and hope for the best. I can always just not use the tag if I don't like it (wish we could exchange it though).

If anyone finds that they ARE matching them up consistently, please let us know!!

When you use nail polish, does it peel off? I've been too scared to try it since I imagine being halfway through my trip and dealing with flaking polish.

Have never had them peel off. This last trip, my tigger painted one had some very minor cracking, but it was the first one I did in 2013.

I have the purple Haunted Mansion magic band and I love it...but I still prefer my plain yellow magic band as it sets my tan off better

The new DVC MBs going on sale soon are purple too, so like previous posters have said, they probably won't be adding to to the choices of included MBs anytime soon.

I've had nail polish on mine since 2013 also & as long as you put a few coats of base coat on top of the colors, it should be fine. The one that I did have crack after a few uses was one I only put one coat of top coat on (base coat works better IME).

However, given guest volume through later stages of Fall Free Dining & then the Christmas holidays, I understand some extra stock of gray tags (default colour) were pulled in to meet the demand. But since January, I thought the tags were mostly matching up with the colour of the bands. Fingers crossed for you!

Love the DIS Board - just went into my MDE account and switched my orange band for the purple one for my April 24th trip. Yeah!
