Purchasing MP3 player - need opinions

I'd like to purchase an MP3 player for my husband for Christmas. He is a runner and I think he would enjoy listening to his favorite music while he runs. I have no idea where to start. What should I be looking for? What brands are best? How much memory should the player have? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Sorry I can't help answer any of your questions, but look forward to hearing what others have to say. This is something that I am personally wanting and haven't had any experience with any. I am sure there are many on the boards that can help.

This is the one I bought my husband last year. He runs too and uses it for that and for working out. He's been very happy with it. He loves the size of it, nice and small.
