Can someone tell me if there is a duty free shop onboard that sells bottles of alcohol and if the prices are reasonable.

Thank you in advance.

There definitely is, but when you buy from them, you don't get the alcohol while you're on board, it's when you leave. The prices were reasonable, but you can do better buying in most of the ports you come to. But if you open the alcohol, you can't take it off the ship back in the US.

They have price sheets that you can take with you. We found that some of the prices onboard were better than on the islands.

Tori, we weren't impressed with the prices in St.Thomas when we stopped a few weeks ago. So I'd take dvcreg's suggestion and take the price list with you.
However, we did pick-up a 5-bottle variety pack of Cruzan Rum and a bottle of cherry-flavored Grand Marnier. Made the best cherry Cokes and adult ShirleyTemples. Yum!

We just purchased a bottle of Chambord onboard and it was $14.00 compared to $23.00 at home. Didn't check the prices in Cozumel as we did not go into town.

DCL will deliver your liquor purchase to your stateroom the last day. They put it in a white cardboard box with a handle and the box has the DCL logo on it. It was very easy to carry. You can't consume the liquor you bought onboard but you can drink the liquor onboard that you purchase in the ports.

After our stop in Nassau we found that the price for some of the bottles that we got were actually cheaper onboard. Had we know this we wouldn't have even left the ship that day. If your at another port than I would take a copy of the list from the duty free shop onboard to compair the price.

Apparently this is very hard to find. I'm not a liquor drinker but it sounds great to me. Is there another cherry flavored something I could buy (at home to take with me) that makes great adult cherry cokes too?

There's a brand of rum called "Cabana Boy" that comes in various flavors. DW mixes their cherry rum with coke, and it's darn good. Cabana Boy is pretty readily available, in our parts anyway. It's not as good as Grand Marnier, but it's probably a third of the price.
