purchased dining plan while in resort?

Hi

We are trying to plan for next April and unfortunately missed the cut off date to book for free dining.

We've had the dining plan on 3 previous occasions (twice free) once purchased before travel, and feel it would be expensive to revert back to paying for individual meals for 16 days.

has anyone purchased the DP once they've arrived and is it cheaper?

Weighing up if cheaper to go back to DL for 10 nights

I think the policy is that you must purchase the dining plan at least 5 days before arrival at which point you will have to pay for the whole amount. There's no discount for adding it at the last minute.

You could split your stay and only do the dining plan for part of your trip.

We've actually found that even Free Dining isn't necessarily a good deal for us if we can get a percent off discount on our room. Paying for the dining plan is much worse.

The dining plan must be booked and paid in full no less than 72 hours before your check-in date.

The OP is talking about the British bookings, so I don't know if it's 72 hours for British bookings, but it does have to be booked before you arrive at the resort. Contact your travel agent or Disney UK to find out the deadlines.
