Purchase Two Resale Contracts As New Member?

Hi Everyone. My family has been doing our homework on DVC and we are looking to make our first purchase in a few months. We want our home resort to be VGC as we live fairly close to that property and can definitely see our family going each year for a 4 to 6 day trip. We also hope to be able to be able to pool our points together once and a while to be able to try and book two rooms for a larger family event every few years on the west coast.

Based on our estimated travel times and room size we would like to start with around 300 (ish) points and then add more in years to come if we can budget it. Large contracts are not as available on the resale market so another option we are considering is purchasing two 160 point contracts with the same use year. If we decide to go this route will it be an issue to bid and purchase them both at the same time? Will this impact the way our account is setup to be able to use the points? Would it be better to purchase one and wait until our membership is established (transferred) before buying the second contract?

Not an issue to do it that way. You just want to make sure that once you close on the first one and it’s sent to MA that you contract them to let them know you have a second one in the works.

And once you have your membership number, be sure to add it to all the paperwork for the 2nd so they go into the same membership.
