We have made reservations with Happy Limo and was told they do not have a liquor license. Is there a store in the Orlando Airport were we can buy Champagne for the ride to the resort????:confused3 We don't want to stop at a store, we want to pop it right in the limo.please help. There must be somewhere in that huge airport??..Thank You!!!:flower3:

I'm not sure if there is a duty free liquor store, but you might want to check out MCO's website.

Liquor license? To buy somebody riding in a limo a bottle of champagne??? (Champagne falls into the category of "Beer and Wine" in NC and NOT liquor. May be different in FL).

I think it's time to find a new limo company if it's such a must have. There ain't much between MCO and WDW and if there is a liquor store, it won't be far to WDW by the time you get to it.

Limo company needs a LIQUOR LICENSE? You can't be serious! :rotfl2:

To the poster above: What good would a duty free be to this person at MCO? :confused3

Perhaps the limo meant they don't have a license for passengers to drink liquor in the vehicle. In which case, popping a bottle of champagne is a good way to get the driver arrested or the passengers dumped out on the side of the highway! While drinking in the limo sounds like a nice idea, just wait until you get to the resort!

Agreed! :goodvibes

The liquor license may be needed because they are essentially re-selling the champagne to you. (I doubt they would provide it for free.)

Sometimes people have gotten around this law by having their customers purchase a gift basket "with a complimentary bottle of champagne". The basket might include the flutes and some snacks. Obviously, the contents of the basket would be highly overpriced to provide for the "complimentary" champagne!

Of course, if the license is required for the customers to drink the champagne in the vehicle, this wouldn't be an option.

Does your trip include a grocery stop? If so, you can make it a champagne stop instead!
