While I thought it was terrible, the ad worked. We're talking about it.
And I do remember what it was for (which is unusual for me)....Mountain Dew.

Yeah, I hated it. But I think it failed as an ad, at least for me. I didn't know what product it was for until this morning, when I read an article about the Super Bowl ads. I was so stunned by how ugly it was, and how bad the animation was, that I didn't even notice the brand, let alone the product.

Thought it was stupid. It just looked like they were trying way too hard.

I don't remember the product it was advertising either. So that makes it a big fail.
I don't remember the product either. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the superbowl ads this year. The real ads weren't that good, and there were WAY too many ads promoting CBS and shows.

I can't vote, because I liked the ad well enough and found it entertaining but I definitely don't want one of those things anywhere near me. It's like something out of a nightmare!

That one creeped me out, the doritos ones were weird and not funny IMO. The other one that was weird was the Hyundai one with the kid and the engine on his chest....they could have done it better.

The Jeep ones were pretty good.

Other than that, another year of disappointing commercials.

So what was the objective? Is it a mashup on what people think is cute?

I already had to check to see what the product was again. All I could remember was that it was a drink.

I couldn't even remember it was for a soft drink, let alone the specific product, until I opened this thread. That ad would definitely make me avoid the product in the future, but I don't drink Mountain Dew anyway.

My favorite, a ten second clip during the pregame for the show Elementary, featuring Lucy Liu.

But it wasn't for Mountain Dew. It was for their energy drink, KickStart.

I think that the commercial succeeded in being memorable but failed miserably in product recognition.

Isn't it a Mountain Dew product? Well, in that case, they didn't do as good a job as I thought.... hahaha

I bet you are only one who's going to get an A on this test.

I cheated. I couldn't remember what it was for, so I googled it.

The premise is that the drink is 3 awesome things in one, just like puppymonkeybaby.

That was us, too.

I'll admit my reaction to the puppy-monkey-baby is "eewww," but I remember the commercial and I remember what it was for, so I guess that makes it a success. However, I think their message of "three good things together," kind of proves that three 'rights' can make a giant 'wrong'!
I had the same thought. The commercial proved how putting 3 great things together can make something disgusting.

And in this case, there were only two good things to begin with: juice and caffeine...I hate Mt. Dew anyhow, but any soda mixed with juice and caffeine makes my stomach queasy. (And I'm no health nut, so I won't even get into how awful that sounds for you)

Doritos Ultrasound was the only one that made me actually laugh out loud.
I missed it last night and watched it this morning. I was just thinking Ouch! and Ewww! And premature babies...and it wasn't funny to me. Then again, I can lose my sense of humor easily.

Loved the Sheep commercial, the super bowl babies (odd, though? I mean, do you explain to the littler ones that they are being featured because their parents had sex around the SuperBowl?), and I liked the Dorito one, too :)
