This seems to be the ad everyone's talking about. Some reviewers have called it one of the all-time worst Super Bowl ads, some loved it. What's your take?

Well, it definitely got people's attention, so I guess it worked.

I can't say I hated it, but it certainly wasn't one of my favorite commercials.

My kids and I watched the beginning in a sort of stunned WTH silence, then we busted out laughing!

That was us, too.

I'll admit my reaction to the puppy-monkey-baby is "eewww," but I remember the commercial and I remember what it was for, so I guess that makes it a success. However, I think their message of "three good things together," kind of proves that three 'rights' can make a giant 'wrong'!

The commercials this year, on the whole, were disappointing. I enjoyed a few of them, loved the skittles and the singing sheep commercials, but the rest were ho hum or, in the case of puppymonkeybaby, just weird.

That was the weirdest commercial I've ever seen. BUT....

consider this....

If the intent of a TV ad is to get you to remember it, then the ad was really successful.

It was stupid funny and that's all it was supposed to be. They were making a mockery of past super bowl commercials that all feature puppies, monkeys, and babies. It was a joke because those are usually the most successful.

I already had to check to see what the product was again. All I could remember was that it was a drink.

Tried too hard.

Can't force people to buy into something, and that is what it felt like they were doing.

It'll fizzle quickly, probably.

I was annoyed by all of the animal commercials. Talking humanistic animals creep me out.

Other worst (descriptions copied from a website):

Doritos: (What makes this one so hysterically awful, or awfully hysterical, is the final image: of a baby in the womb so hungry for Doritos that it makes an early exit. Probably a lot less funny to any woman who’s had a difficult delivery. We can hear the OWWWWWs from a hundred thousand Super Bowl parties.)

Just....gross.

My fave was the superbowl babies commercials. Awesome to see all of the babies, then kids, then young adults all the way up to 50 year olds. Kind of sweet, kind of puts a whole lot of perspective on everything!

Other faves - (descriptions copied from a website):

Amazon Echo (this one features Alec Baldwin and Dan Marino trash-talking each other as Missy Elliott and Jason Schwartzmann look on.)

Avacado's from Mexico (This year’s clip capitalized by combining a number of successful ingredients: Star Wars-type aliens, nostalgia for the past, a glimpse into the future and mocking the career of Scott Baio. If Avocados From Mexico do it again for next year’s Super Bowl, it’ll be considered a dynasty.)
