Pumpkins, and candy, and Mickey, oh my! (TR complete!)

It's supposed to rain here for Halloween too. Here I sit with 150 small playdough containers, some erasers and poosibly no trick or treaters. Yup playdough party at my house if there is rain.
Boo! No rain!!! A playdough party sounds fun though. I know what I can make.....:rolleyes1

Those Bellagio pictures were beautiful. I am not a gambler but I have to go to Vegas some time just to see the magnificent hotels.

I carved pumpkins today. It was fun. We will be out on Halloween night to dinner for my bday so I had to carve them today so I could light them up tonight & tomorrow night & enjoy them. I love Halloween too!!!!
I'm not a gambler either, but the hotels are amazing! Come with the ladies trip in June! ;)

I posted on your TR. Your trip sounds wonderful, and you and your DH make such a great couple! That pic of you two as Bert and Mary Poppins was just great. :thumbsup2

I'm getting the Zombie Stripper ad on your TR!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting the Zombie Stripper ad on your TR!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooooh, I feel so special now! You probably brought it over here. The zombie strippers are following you. :lmao:

ETA: Hmmmph! All I see is an ad for "How I Lost 90 lbs". Gee, ya think someone is trying to tell me something???

 Nooooo, not winter. As much as I loved Fall living in MI, I dreaded what would be next. Snow, snow, and more snow. LOL

I actually really like winter. Not quite as much as fall though. We typically don't get a whole lot of snow. We barely got any last year. I have a feeling we're going to get a ton this year though so we'll see.

Rain on halloween is almost as bad as snow on halloween (even though I love snow.) I remember when I was younger, our city post-poned trick or treating for everyone because of all the snow. Everyone trick or treated on November 3rd or something like that. Very weird.

It's supposed to be in the upper 60's here on Friday. That'll be nice since earlier in the week our highs were only in the low 40's with low temps in the 20's...eek!

I hope you feel better. I loved your report on the haunts.:hippie:

I know! :rotfl2: But June is just when it worked out. I don't like the heat either, but that's what A/C is for! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry you are in such a funk. I was too when I first got back. Just felt so blah. And tired! I was going to sleep so early for me. Maybe you are getting sick. Try taking some Airborne. The extra vitamins might help. And force yourself to get out and back into a routine.

Anyway, I hope things get better soon. And I'm definitely interested in reading about the tour! Thanks for the link. :thumbsup2

thanks guys...i went to the grocery store...my dd went with to help me out:lovestruc so now Im back and thats one burden lifted off my shoulders...now at least if i do get sick ive got food in the house :lmao:

My in-laws had arrived at the HoJo on Tuesday night, so this morning Ruben and I were able to go and take the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. We have both wanted to do this for many years so we couldn't wait to finally experience it.

We woke up early and got ready, and I got the kids ready before we left. My in-laws planned to take them to McDonalds for breakfast, then let them play in Castaway Cove most of the day.

Our tour started at 9:30 but we checked in around 9:10. One of the first things they have you do is choose lunch from their menu. It's mainly sandwiches. Ham and cheese, turkey, tuna and a fruit and cheese platter. You can choose from chips or fruit with your sandwich, and a beverage. You also get two chocolate chip cookies as a dessert. Then they give you tour tags that you need to wear for the whole tour.

Our tour guide, I think her name was Mirna, came out and gave us our headsets so we could hear her talking, and off we went. There were about 13 or so of us in the tour.

Now, I'm not going to say too much about the tour. I don't want to give anything away! I will say I'm glad we did it, because I'd always wanted to. But if you are a true Disney fan, or even spend much time on the boards, you won't really learn much you didn't already know.

They do have snippets of Walt talking that they play which is kind of cool. It's a lot of walking and talking. Or rather listening.
We spent time on Main Street. And we all went on Jungle Cruise. We did the Tiki Room. (Got a Dole Whip! yum!) Went into the theater on Main Street. Basically walked the whole park with the exception of Tomorrowland.

The highlight of the tour for us, and the main reason we wanted to take it was to see inside of Club 33. They take you into the lobby and let you step into the elevator. That's as far as you'll get, lol, but it's still neat to see.

Some pics from Club 33 lobby:

After we saw the Tiki Room show, we were allowed to stay in while Mirna showed us one of the original Tiki flowers and how they move.

Since it was just us in there, we were able to take some pics without disturbing anyone.

The Tiki Room was originally planned as a dinner show, and this station in the middle of the room (where the fountain is) was originally meant to be the bussers station and has cabinets where they were going to store plates, and such.

After the tour, we had lunch waiting for us back in the tour gardens on Main Street. The food was good.

While eating lunch, our tour guide walked around to each table to answer any additional questions and to pass out the Walk in Walt's Footsteps pin.

My overall impressions of this tour are it's a good one. If you have an AP or a Disney Visa you can get a discount which makes it even better. I think your experience will really vary based on your tour guide. Ours was okay. She had to correct herself several times, and pause often to remember what she wanted to say. Also her interaction with the group was on the low side. She was rather quiet.

I'm glad we went. We won't need to go again. Once was enough. It's worth it to see inside Club 33, unless you are a member already. ;)

Up next is more of Day 4.

Thanks for the honest review :goodvibes

I'd love to lay my eyes on that flower in the Tiki Room. It's too bad your CM wasn't more animated. If I had that job....... :lovestruc

It's 3 and a half hours long, and there are many facts to remember. I don't fault anyone for having to make some corrections now and then. My issue was more with her lack of animation or interaction. She was just very calm and quiet, but that didn't exactly get us excited.

I don't know. It's hard to explain it. I still enjoyed it. And she wasn't bad by any means. I just think your experience will vary based on your guide.

I was thrilled with the Club 33. So it's ALL GOOD! :rotfl:

Oh, and the flower was cool too. Delicate. She had to wear gloves to handle it. Something about the oils from their hands would mess with the paint. It was neat to see.

Can you imagine Tiki Room as a dinner show?? LOL

Thanks Beth :goodvibes it was such fun dressing up. One of my favorite memories is that when we walked in the atrium that night, the piano player started playing a medley of songs from Mary Poppins after he saw us. He later sought us out to tell us how great our costumes were & how he loved the movie. Talk about Disney magic.:wizard:

And thanks for the review of the WIWF tour. I am so excited to do this & I am sure that it does vary with your tour guide. I cannot wait to see inside Club 33. If only I knew a member so we could actually go eat there. Do those people know how lucky they are? We have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour at WDW & it is a wonderful tour so I am looking very forward to doing this one as well.

I would hope that a tour guide would be on the personable side. Maybe she was having an off day or she is just starting as a tour guide.

How cool about the piano player. Little things like that are what the Disney magic is all about. :goodvibes

I've taken the KTTK tour too and loved it!! Our tour guide there was so good. He'd been working in the parks in some aspect for over 20 years. He was great. Totally into it, and really made it fun.
Which is why I say even on the same tour, sometimes the guide can make all the difference. I hope you get a good one! :wizard:

Well, we asked her how long she'd been doing it and I forget now....but it was either 1 or 2 years. But she could have been having an off day. Or maybe a sore throat which caused her to pause a lot. Who knows. I still enjoyed it. :goodvibes

LOVE the bellagio pics Beth..I have never been to Vegas, can you believe that!? I think we might be doing a dual bachelor/bacholorette party there so perhaps i will be visiting your neck of the woods next year :) wheeee!!!

( i totally need to work on my report..i haven't even gotten to the DL part of it yet..such a slacker!!)
