Pumpkin fudge and other "fall" treats??

Peppermint fudge with crushed up candy canes in it... peppermint mochas and peppermint hot chocolate. Gingerbread men that are designed with mouse ears on. And, if you are really lucky and there on the right day (which I have never been  ) they are sometimes making candy canes in the shop on Main Street. But, from what I have heard, they sell out extremely quickly!

Thanks! :goodvibes

The one I had a couple weeks ago didn't have filling either. I think they are just getting skimpy with it. It was still way tasty, though. Extrememly moist. Bought two for the 4 of us to eat during the parade and one to take home afterwards. We had it for breakfast the next morning - minus the cream cheese! Zoe got to it and licked it all off!

I do recall the muffins being moist! I didn't have one this year - nor did I try the plump pumpkin cupcake (gee, try saying plump pumpkin cupcake five times fast - I had a hard time even typing it!) - but if memory serves, you are right, Nancy. Those muffins were moist and mighty tasty. I really liked the little Mick-O-Lantern on top, and it was so hard that it APPEARED that nothing could break it, but his ear broke off pretty quickly! I wanted to get another one this year, but for some reason, we didn't see any in Marceline's and we didn't go into any of the other bakeries/confectionaries this trip.

I am not a huge caramel apple fan - I have nothing against them at all but I don't crave them like other folks do - but I love the idea of all the different ones that they sell, and the Halloween one you spoke of in a different thread, Nancy, sounded so cool - wish we had gone into Pooh's Corner to see it! I wonder what they will do for Christmas apples?

I grew up in Anaheim and take my son to Disneyland about twice a week. My husband is a police officer for the City of Anaheim and he is assigned to Downtown Disney for the next 2 years. We had no idea that any of these treats even existed. I plan to sample them ALL today! I guess we go so often that we miss the little details.

What a great place to see Daddy at work!!!! And thank goodness for you, a relatively safe assignment for him!

Enjoy the goodies! I know we do - and boy do my hips show it!

Just returned from Disneyland. The pumpkin muffins are amazing!!!! The pumpkin fudge was very good, but different. No chocolate here, just creamy mildy pumpkin flavored fudge. It's growing on me (literally). And yes, my son does love to visit Daddy at work. DTD is the best assignment a cop could have (IMO).:) :)

We just got back and I had the pumpkin muffin. It was okay. It definitely was moist and I loved the cream cheese. It had very little filling and I don't really care for raisins in my muffins but I ate them anyways.

I never got around to trying the pumpkin fudge. I actually never saw it but I wasn't searching for it either.

I tried one of those haystack things and I liked it but be careful because they are refrigerated and you could break a tooth. Let it thaw a bit.

I wish they would make a peppermint cupcake at DLR - with pink peppermint frosting and little chunks of crumbled candy canes inside. I don't recall seeing one last December but I want one!!! I love peppermint ice cream so I am always thrilled at the holidays when certain places start serving/selling it. But a peppermint cupcake would be scrumptious!

That would be amazingly good!

Have you tried the peppermint fudge that they sell? It has candy cane chunks in it like you described the frosting would have.

I love peppermint ice cream too, but I have to admit that the fact that it is already at my local grocery store seemed too soon. I need to get through Halloween before I will be ready for Christmas treats.

I saw the peppermint fudge last December but did not sample any of it. Darn it! I think I would like it, though! I remember stopping and eyeing it in the case, but I was probably trying to find my friend in the store and forgot about the fudge two seconds later. I never stopped to grab the gngerbread man with the ears either but I wanted to!

I know what you mean - as soon as any holiday rolls around, the stores start trotting out the peppermint ice cream. Halloween - time for Dreyer's Peppermint! Fourth of July - have some peppermint ice cream! I like it to be seasonal, but closer to December. At least wait until November to bring it out. A friend and I became addicted to peppermint shakes and malts many years ago, and would hunt them down wherever we could find them, even in summer. But I prefer it to be a late November to beginning of January treat!

We were at DL for the mini-meet and tried the pumpkin fudge (we got it at the shop in Critter Country)--it was delish! We also shared an Apple Pie Caramel Apple and it was yummy too!

Cheryl,

Did they have the new holiday "Mickey Pumpkin' Apples down there? We are heading over for the evening and wanted to see if we could get one.
