Great job!
Every year we host a Pumpkin Carving day. Last year there were over 80 in attendence. I started preparing a week ago. We decorate the yard, Grim Reaper in a graveyard full of gravestones with cute sayings (example: Here lies Mr. Brown some say he isn't really dead he walks these streets when were in bed, A pair of DH old workboots spray painted with glow-in the dark paint and a battery tea-light in each boot. A haunted deck, ghost, rats, bats, lots of spider webs, crows, vultures, skeletons, a witch cooking her brew with lots of potions on her shelves, a mummy carving a pumpkin.
All decoratings are made by me and my grandchildren. We use tomato cages turned up-side down with a large stroform as the head. Then dress up the cage. Sheets for ghost, witch costumes, reaper costume whatever your imagination can come up with.
We have tables set up in the garage and I supply the stencils and all the carving tools, some you can get on-line.
Grandchildren and I have been working on a coffin for the past week. Spray paint and a large cardboard box. This will be Jack Skeltons coffin.
This Sunday we will have a decorating party. The following sunday will be the carving. A week of decorating and a week of cooking. Then I sleep for a week.
