Low and behold there is a pull thru site. The site is 1222. Can pull into it from Fort Wilderness Trail. Don't know if there are going to be anymore but this sure makes it easier for the trailers.

We saw them building something when we were there last month. My wife guessed a pull thru, but I said I didn't think so ... why would they make just one.

Well as usual she was correct I gues. Must be a trial. I'll bet this one is going to be tough to get. I assume they are going to convert more along there.

While we were staying at FW after Thanksgiving, we asked to see a cabin. My in-laws were interested in what our thoughts were regarding them.
After showing us the cabin, the CM drove us around the rest of the FW property. While showing us the sites, he said that they are planning on setting up "some" pull-through sites for the larger trailers. No number given, but it sounds promising for those with trailers.
I had no idea they would get one ready that fast! The sites he indicated showed no evidence of being ready, and that was just last week.

That is correct, so many guest have verrry large equipment that the campground is looking into converting some of the sites to pull thru. At one time there was even talk of a whole new loop being added with pull thrus for large mhs, but that has been canceled maybe in the future

I saw the pull-thru site 11/29. It was occupied by a trailer. I didn't like the fact it was directly accessible to Fort Wilderness trail. Not good for the little kiddo's, in my humble opinion. And then there's that lack of privacy thing....their tail end was showing for all to see!

BUT....if that's the best they can do for pull-thrus now... better that than not go because you can't back it in!

We just returned from our trip to FW and there are 2 pull-thru sites. They are side-by-side and both were occupied.

We just returned tonight and one of the bus drivers told me they were planning on putting in approximately 20 of the pull-through sites. Unfortunately, it appears that they will, of necessity, back up to the road, which means noise from the road traffic.

Hear is a pic of them working on a pull through, only drawback i see is the lack of rear privacy and road noise.

I hope I never get stuck with one of those sites. Glad they have them for those that need them but I sure would not want to camp on one.
