These are the details of our upcoming trip. We're not telling the kids yet, and I'm sure I would bore my friends to death telling them all these details. But that's what this board is for, right?

It's my husband and I and our two oldest children (9-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl). We went in October 2011 with just our son (he was 5 at the time). The crowds were so low we got to do everything we wanted to do. I've heard October has picked up a little, but I still have high hopes. We're very lucky to get to go back now that our girl is 5.

We are staying at POR October 11-16. We got a UOC for a room discount and ended up in a Royal Room. It might not be worth it on some level, but our daughter will really love it, I'm sure. And I'm in love with the fireworks in the headboard.

Plans:

We are renting a car. Right now we have a reservation with Fox. I know there's not much love for Fox, and we might change our minds when it gets closer. But I check reviews for several rental places, and everyone seems to have only negative reviews. I think people just don't like rental car companies.

In 2011, our only regret was not doing more character dining. It was so easy to get pictures with the characters. Luckily, our son never, ever wanted to wait in line to see anyone, but I think our daughter might. Letting the characters come to us while we eat in the air conditioning is just about perfect. All that is to say, it's intentionally a little heavy on the character dining:

Half day (Epcot):
Lunch at Coral Reef
Dinner at Garden Grill

First Full day (Epcot):
Breakfast at Cape May Cafe
Lunch - snacks at the Food & Wine booths
Dinner at Akershus

I know most people would not do two Epcot days with kids, but it's the park our son loved the most when he was 5. And we loved it, too. And the snacks! And Akershus! And Test Track! I can't wait for Epcot.

My daughter already asked me to make her a green Ariel dress, and I already bought the material, so I know what she'll be wearing to dinner this day.

Second day (MK)
Breakfast at Crystal Palace (I had a 9:45 and I just found an 8:10. Yeah!)
Lunch at BOG
Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

This is a MNSSH night, so we are hoping for a lighter crowd so we can still get lots of activities in. My kids are not totally into Pooh Bear, but I am. We still have the Winnie the Pooh shirt that my son wore in 2011. I know exactly where it is, and my daughter gets to wear it to Crystal Palace. And is there a Cinderella dress in the works for Park Fare? Yes, yes there is. It will really just be a knit blue dress with some shimmery fabric I found on sale. But I know what she's wearing to this dinner, too. I know that this is craziness.

Third day (HS)
Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine
Lunch at Mama Melrose (with Fanastmic)
Dinner - QS at POR

My son regrets not trying to do the Jedi Training last time. We'll see how it goes this time. This is the only day I will probably wish for park hopper because my girl might get bored. But she and I can always go swim at POR or something until it's time to come back for Fantasmic. Or nap. We can always nap.

Fourth day (AK)
Breakfast at Tusker House
Lunch at Yak & Yeti (unless we need a nap)
Dinner at Hoop Dee Doo (Very excited about this one)

Fifth Day -- Flying out early. No time to park this day.

Thanks for letting us share!
