PTR-Cheating on Mickey w/Harry!...OMG! Only a month to go!

Well, I certainly had a lot of catching up to do here! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics of German food that you posted!!! German food is so amazingly good, and all of this looks so delicious!

Good thing we went to a restaurant for Oktoberfest last night or I would feel deprived of German food right now! It was awesome...German pretzel, sauerbraten with potato dumplings and red cabbage, sachertorte for dessert, and a wonderfully smooth Spaten beer! :thumbsup2

You see, this is why I love Biergarten so much! A buffet of German food is like heaven to me! My grandfather would be so proud! :goodvibes

MY gosh your mom looks so young. Your anniversay dinner looked wonderful. I like how you both order different items so you can taste each others :). I would be happy with the Lobster salad and the Scallops in lobster sauce.

My sister- in -law made rouladen for our German themed christmas gathering. ( I was the only "born in America" guest. Rest were born and raised in Germany). Erika always placed a spear of dill pickle along with the other items in the center of the rouladen. Spazle is so good :) --- yummmmm. Does it show how fond I am of German food? I think alot of root vegetables are used in Germany. Red Cabbage, sauerkraut, and cucumber salad are the only vegetables I see alot of-- well potatoes to. I am going to try to attend this event next year. Price is average for GOOD Authentic German foods and all the food looked so good. You have inspired me.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

My mom would love to hear that!

That's so great that your sister makes the Rouladen!

Unfortunately this event was a private party. I was able to go because a friend of mine was able to bring as many as nine guests, but it's not something that is open to the General Public. Sorry!

So I've wanted to post some pictures from my trip to Disneyland, but I've been a little busy. You see I had the car all loaded up and ready to go, but for some reason I decided to take a sack of paid recycling out to the garage, where I saw a puddle underneath my freezer! :scared1:

Everything had thawed out completely. The Frozen Dinners and ready to make meals were history, so I tossed those, but for the most part all my large meats were still salvageable. So this is what I've been up to for the last three days.

Not to mention, cutting, bagging and freezing the Turkey and Ham from Monday.

Today

I saved all the pan drippings from all three turkeys and I'm fixing up some gravy. We're eating some of the last turkey for our dinner tonight. I think I'm gonna give in and eat some mashed potatoes with the gravy! We've eaten Ham Sandwiches, Roast Beef Sandwiches, Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches, and Turkey sandwiches....

I still have 7 steaks to cook, a 7 bone roast, a tri tip and 2 corned beef briskets. Plus we have to slice and freeze today's turkey, the chickens and yesterday's Ham! :faint:

So do you need help eating it? I know someone that would gladly lend a mouth :rolleyes1

Sadly, this mouth is way too far away. I'm salivating at all the poultry. Look at all that yummy lovely browned fatty SKIN! :thumbsup2

Oooh.....is.it.edible???

:rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

My DH is :rotfl: and frankly so am I.

Which brings me to quote from the lovely movie, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (johnny depp version)

"Everything in this room is eatable. Even I'm eatable. But that is called cannibalism, my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies. Enjoy."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

at you two in my absence!

I would love some help, but luckily Fran is being very helpful in bagging it all up. We still have the one turkey and a ham left plus two chickens before we bag them up. Boy! this is a lot of meat! I'm just glad that usually I am pretty quick to bag it up so that it is pretty fresh when it goes into the vacuum seal so I'm OK with it going a week (or more, who knows how many days the freezer was defunct, but it was still frozen when my parents we here Sunday, but I did notice a problem).

Anyways.....yikes....Meatapalooza is coming to a close and then I will resume the DLR updates, and hopefully now that F&W is open I will get some pics of the open booths and continue the whether or not we will make it through everything.

Plus I need to start a new TR because we have everything in place for my May trip with our friend Arline! We are staying at Kidani for three nights and then BLT in a MK view room for 4 nights! Look for the link soon! But for now I'm gonna :faint:

Wow, I can't believe you leave in 2 weeks! Craziness. Are you all set and ready to go?

:rotfl: That's okay! Well, you don't need to pack that much for Tulare right? It's only an overnighter?

Yeah, it's only overnight, but you'd be surprised at the amount of crap we need for our aging medical and disability needs! :rotfl2:

You are starting to sound like me too.:confused3

:lmao: :lmao: I know! But believe me as soon as we get back the suitcase for Orlando comes out! I can't pack for a 10 day trip over night. Besides, I've already picked out my dresses for CA Grill and Artist point.

I better go pack my bag with a swim suit and some pool shoes, and off to my massage and spa day at the Grand Californian!! :woohoo:

I just ordered our tickets for IOA from Undercover Tourist! :cool1:

I don't know why I've been putting it off :confused3 We just got two days of standard tickets. We really only want to see Harry Potter World and if there was anything else we wanted to see it would be in that park. I'm not all that interested in the regular Universal Park.

But it cost me an extra $4.95 for Priority Shipping otherwise the wouldn't have arrived in time for our trip. Well they probably would but the website says 10 business days, and in 10 business days we would be on the plane!

I can't believe it's coming up so fast!
