PTR - December Dream Trip AKL Dec. 2 - 13th - Savannah View Bunk Room
Hi there!! We are the Bollengier Family - Linda (49 & 50 in December!) DH Gary 52, DD (E) 16 & DD (F) 10
We are from Texas!
Dec. 2nd we will fly from DFW to MCO and arrive early at the AKL with our request in on July 4th for a *Arusha Savanna View room on the*Third or Fourth Floor &*IF POSSIBLE Zebra Trail*
We stayed at the AKL in 2002 & the DD10 doesn't remember it and there wasn't (as far as we know) a special Safari for guests then... Asked for this room choice because of tips from the AKL Dis Boards:

My priorities for the trip are (1) not feeling rushed or panicked... (2) Character meals, Hoop Dee Doo, Mickeys Christmas party, eating at some of our favorite places, taking our DD16 to Harry Potter land & working in as many of our favorite rides as possible around this itinerary!! (3) not wasting any of our credits on our Free DDP!!
For the first time ever, I got help with planning after reading about others on the DIS boards!! I emailed Dreams Unlimited for help with my Disney plans and even though I pride myself at doing a great job, I feel much less panicked and stressed! It isn’t costing me any more and IMHO, I have definitely saved a lot thanks to Beth!! Time, energy, not to mention $1800
I made my list and I’ve changed it twice (actually ten times that!) I cannot believe how much easier it is allowing someone to help me! She even managed to get us reservations I was unable to get myself last time to CRT & the day I wanted at the Princess Breakfast at Akershus!! The last important thing I do not have planned (as of July 18) is the Candlelight Procession dinner package…
In years past we all made a list of what was important to do while at WDW, my list always has Hoop De Doo, younger daughter always has Tower of Terror all the mountains and character meals, we all want to do the MVMCP & CP… Hubby is easy and pretty much just sits back and watched me plan away!! I think he’s secretly almost in love with Disney as much as me!!
This year I have a new & better (of course) strategy which is centered around the extra magic hour nights!! This is a big deal to my family since 3 out of 4 of us are nightowls (as I write this at 2AM- lol) Bless you -(whoever at Disney) came up with the idea to have them at night and not just the morning!! YAY!!!
I had the 3rd through the 12th all planned out - then we added the 13th so we could see Steven Curtis Chapman on the 12th! Lots of reasons we wanted to see him and not some of the other choices!! Then we got the note from Beth about the dining package and voila we’re getting there on the 2nd!! Vacation went from 9 nights to 11 nights!! This is a record length for us without a cruise to Disney!! We are going to bet 8 day ticket and spend 2 days at Harry Potter Land too...
On earlier trips I had glanced at the Passporter boards since I LOVE their books you can customize!! I had a hard time doing their boards, just harder for me to navigate around for some reason… This time I got into the Dis boards and now I’m hooked!! I feel like I’m learning more here than all the past studying put together!! So I still have my books I love but doin' the Boards here!!
DECEMBER 2 - YAY! Off to WDW Day!!
Flying (with hubby’s miles) free 1st class to Orlando!
Arrive at AKL for our Savannah View Bunk Room… (I hope this room is nice - Not much info out there on these rooms.. We had a Savannah View room like in 2002 but when we changed our res to the 2nd we could only get this room for Savannah view)
----->> ** Oct. 2, 2010 redid a LOT of the plans!!!
Mid September - after adding all the Dining we wanted and deleting what wasn’t important, we were scheduled to use 28 more TS credits than we had!!
Decided to boost up to Deluxe Dining for $1320…. BECAUSE:
Did the math and it didn’t make sense to spend that much out of pocket
Noticed that the Deluxe comes with APPETIZERS!!! We sometimes like appetizers better than dessert!!
Realized we got Refillable Mugs and DOUBLE Snacks with Deluxe!! Major Plus Plus!!
Also planning to change our park hopper tickets to Annual Passes since we are going with one of our daughter's Marching Band in March... Maybe for our 25th Anniversary in the spring also!
Day 1 - DHS (still call it MGM) as soon as we can get there!
Fingers crossed we can check in our room early and make it to
ADR #1 SCI-FI 3:20PM
Then we are doing the FANTASMIC Event at Mousetacular
I am hoping to meet some other very nice people who love Disney as much as I do…
One secret reason is so that my family won’t think I’m the only Disney Wacko out there!! LOL ** I also hope that we will meet some people who are staying at the same time as us at AKL (hopefully) and have kids close to the age of our kids. DDs 10 & 16

DAY 2 - Magic Kingdom Going to MVMCP - Originally was going to wait until 4PM and save a day but then I read that the 4PM entry for MVMCP is a thing of the past…
This was almost enough alone to push me into the Annual Pass!!

Day 2 cont-So we’ll ride a few rides - hoping our our faves will be open for the party!! We love the MOUNTAINS!! Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Pirates & Haunted Mansion (standard Disney Fare for most so hopefully these will open for the partay!!!)
ADR#6 Cinderella’s Royal Table 6:50 dinner
this will be the first time we’ve eaten dinner at the castle since it was the wrong King’s banquet hall!! Never understood why King Stephan’s hall would be in Cinderella’s castle??
We had breakfast here with Princesses and Mary Poppins in 2004. The last trip to WDW in 2006- I couldn’t get any reservations here! THANKS BETH for getting them this time!! 
Faith (4) and ELora (10) Last time we had a meal in the castle was breakfast with Cinderella in October 2004!!
After reading so many GREAT things about the Wishes Dessert Party, I decided to add this to tonight also! Woohoo!!

Mexico River ride, I am excited to hear that they've incorporated some of the early Disney Latin influenced films here!! We love the Three Cabelleros & Saludos Amigos!
I've always loved this pavillion - I love the way it feels like you are outside at night even in the middle of the day!!

Start out today with 9:20 ADR - Breakfast at Donald’s Safari Breakfast. Last time we were here this was at Restaurantosaurus, I thnk I read it is at the Tusker House now! We'll get to our favorite rides at AKL before heading over to MK for the EXTRA MAGIC HOURS Lunch at Yak & Yeti - I’m loving the pics of their Potstickers!
For dinner, we are trying a new place! 7:25 dinner at Narcoosee’s – At the Grand Floridian on the 7 seas Lagoon. From the balcony, beach or restaurant (window seat) we hope to view Wishes. – Wishes is at 8:00 this evening and then back to MK after dinner for more fun. The menu is mainly seafood but they have an excellent steak option... Hoping my fam likes it! I know we'll love the view!

Tuesday December 7, 2010 - Off to day 1 of our 2 day Universal Tickets! DD16 is one of the biggest Harry Potter HP fans you will meet anywhere!! I hope they have some kind of HP trivia there, she will kick butt!!

We will eat breakfast at Boma then head off to Universal,

We added a day on our trip to see Steven Curtis Chapman!! I am so excited to see little Stevie !! He was the little brother of a friend and classmate of mine where I grew up in Paducah, KY! We even went to the same church until I was 15... He wouldn't remember me but it will be special for us to see him there!! I love his music and think he is the right kind of speaker for a CHRISTMAS event!!!
Monday Dec. 13 - Our plane doesn't leave until the night time so hopefully pixie dust will be flying and we'll get to check in our luggage at our hotel giving us several hours in the parks!! I have promised this day to whichever DD gets the most hidden Mickeys during the trip! So chances are DD10 would pick MK or DHS and DD16 would pick Epcot! if the Kim Possible thing is as popular as I think it might be, they might actually AGREE on Epcot!!!

We'll catch a cab this night to get to Fort Wilderness for a 7PM Sleigh Ride! then head over to Pioneer Hall for my favorite show at Hoop Dee Doo - we have ADR for the 9:30 show... We've had a few difficulties after this show getting back to our hotel... Hope we do better this time!

We added a day on our trip to see Steven Curtis Chapman!! I am so excited to see little Stevie !! He was the little brother of a friend and classmate of mine where I grew up in Paducah, KY! We even went to the same church until I was 15... He wouldn't remember me but it will be special for us to see him there!! I love his music and think he is the right kind of speaker for a CHRISTMAS event!!!
Monday Dec. 13 - Our plane doesn't leave until the night time so hopefully pixie dust will be flying and we'll get to check in our luggage at our hotel giving us several hours in the parks!! I have promised this day to whichever DD gets the most hidden Mickeys during the trip! So chances are DD10 would pick MK or DHS and DD16 would pick Epcot! if the Kim Possible thing is as popular as I think it might be, they might actually AGREE on Epcot!!!
