This is my very first post! So exciting. A little bit about me. My name is Kristen. I'm 29 and from New Jersey. I'm engaged with 2 fur kids and work in the health care field. My first trip to Disney was in 1999 with my dad and brother and I've been hooked since.
Favorite Disney Movie: The Little Mermaid
Favorite Disney Ride: TSM, RRC
Favorite resort: Bay Lake Tower
Favorite characters: DUMBO!
Favorite restaurant: Tutto Italia
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Our trip planning started way back in January. My mother in law is a DVC member and took her family on a cruise in January, so lucky us got to watch her dogs. As a thank you, she gave us 5 nights of her DVC points to use whenever we wanted this year. It took me about 4.5 seconds to scream "October for my birthday again!"
My fiancee and I have visited Disney 4 times (upcoming will be 5) in our 6 year relationship. I'm lucky to have found someone who loves Disney as much as I do. Last year as my birthday gift, my faincee took me to Disney World. My birthday celebration was fabulous. I wore the button the whole time, got free champagne at The Wave, free desserts at Tutto Italia and Crystal Cafe and even got sung to on a bus. Best. Birthday. Ever.
We had talked about taking our Disney adventures to a new level. Our goal is to stay at every Disney hotel. So this year we are staying our first 2 nights at POFQ and then 5 nights at AKL Kindani.
This past July, my boyfriend of 6 years asked me to marry him! Yay! Now it's my birthday celebration and engagement moon! We talked last year during our Disney trip about getting married in Disney World, but we can't make that happen due to ill family members. What's the next best thing? Engagement pictures in Disney! YES PLEASE!!! I immediately booked our engagement pictures with Disney Fine Art for October 5th in Epcot. Even cooler- they're before the park even opens!
Here are the plans so far:
10/3: Arrive at 11am. MK, dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, PORS for Bob
10/4: Epcot Food and Wine all day, dinner at Le Chefs de France then getting the kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream
10/5: Engagement pictures in Epcot, HS, Dinner at Narccossee's then MK
10/6: Keys to the Kingdom Tour in MK, dinner at Tutto Italia, Epcot
10/7: BIRTHDAY!!! HS, MK, dinner at Be Our Guest
10/8: AK, dinner at Cape May Cafe, DTD
10/9: MK, dinner at Boma then Epcot
10/10: Epcot
If anyone has any suggestions on good picture spots in Epcot, I'm open to hear them!
We're also looking for a good late night place in DTD for some drinks.
Since we're testing MyMagic+, I want to hear about your expieriences!!! Fill me in before 10/3! (I already have my hot pink band ready to go!)
